I Love My Vice-President! That is one GOOD man!

  8. September 11, 2015 at 12:17 am

    Yes, THANK YOU!
All over the world as this day comes to a close for some and just starting for others, if I could shout from the top of my voice I would make that sacrifice and let the world know how much I THANK YOU!
A true sacrifice is made for the benefit of others.

Mr. President, you started out making sacrifices before 2008 up until now and you continue to do what you set out to do.
I can go to sleep tonight feeling secure in knowing that the President I voted for twice kept his words.
He did and continues to do whatever is necessary that my children and their children can have a safe, clean peaceful world to live.
He fought for me and people I may never ever meet in this life. “He fought the good fight.”
His relentless hard work in trying to hand-in-hand with a GOP Congress whose minds were made up from the start to block, dismiss, disrespect and vow a one-term presidency with this man who came in PEACE who truly deserves another Nobel Peace Prize.

This day my “human heart” overflows with so much appreciation, respect and gratitude for a community server with a “humble heart” who fought for peace on earth for everyone.
    Thank You, Mr. President.

It’s a BFD and oh, yeah, another FU to nut n yahoo.

Vote allows Palestinian flag to be raised over UN.

The UN General Assembly has overwhelmingly voted in favour of a motion allowing the Palestinian flag to be flown in front of UN buildings.

Israel strongly opposed the move and urged member states to vote against it.

The motion was passed by 119 votes, with Israel and the US among the eight countries that voted against.

Palestinian representative to the UN Riyad Mansour said ahead of the vote it would be “another step” towards solidifying Palestinian statehood.

The move comes amid growing momentum to recognise Palestinian statehood, with several states showing their support in the past year.

In May, the Vatican signed its first formal bilateral treaty recognising Palestinian statehood.

    From Smartypants yesterday:

“One of my favorite writers, Jonathan Odell, is documenting on Facebook a back-and-forth conversation he is having with the editor of his hometown newspaper in Laurel, Mississippi over their support for Donald Trump. He really captured the essence of what is happening with this:

Jim, you got me wrong, I do hope you get a chance to vote for Trump. That will mean the Republican Party has finally lost it’s collective mind and is willing to go down on a Ship of Fools. But that should be no surprise. You can’t run a party for three decades on the idea that people who know something are the enemy, and then be surprised when people want to follow an idiot…

There are obviously many like you who are so discouraged that they would rather throw a tantrum in the voting booth than cast a vote for a person with an actual plan–of either party…There is catharsis in blowing up, I guess. But here’s an idea, instead of blowing up, how about growing up?”

I just finished watching Joe Biden on Colbert’s new show and I think he will eventually throw his hat into the ring. He is still deep in mourning, but I think he wants to run. I think Biden was taking swipes at HRC in his critique of folks running for president who can’t clearly tell voters why they are running. He also spoke of not understanding why one would run for president and not present himself honestly (i.e. say clearly what you mean and believe, no triangulation). My hunch is that Biden will run as a continuation of the “no fucks to give” portion of the Obama presidency. He will run as a truth teller and authentic person against the HRC phoniness.

    • September 11, 2015 at 12:39 am

Yes, Eric, but he was also cautious & I think, as he alluded to, he’s still in hurt. However, I’m so hoping that w/ all our support as serious & conscience voters we can have his back if he runs. And not just through the race, but all his presidency. And Fab Dr. Jill.

    NW, Thank you!
“What a mighty great man” is exactly right!
PBO and VP Joe Biden are a once in a lifetime team.
As much as we need him to run I understand that he and his family have to be on one accord.
    He has given so much.
I am so glad for their friendship.

New York police chief apologises to arrested ex-tennis star Blake.

New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton apologised on Thursday to former US tennis star James Blake, who was arrested after being wrongly identified as a suspect in a fraud ring and said he is concerned over how much force is used.

Blake, who is black, was surrounded by six plainclothes officers outside a Midtown Manhattan hotel on Wednesday while waiting for a car to take him to the US Tennis Open. One of the officers slammed the 35-year-old man to the ground before handcuffing him.

The incident involving a well-known athlete revived questions over excessive police force that reverberated around the country after a series of police killings of unarmed black men that sparked sometimes violent protests.

“I spoke to Mr. Blake a short time ago and personally apologised for yesterday’s incident,” Bratton said in a statement. “Mr. Blake indicated he would be willing to meet with the Internal Affairs Bureau as our investigation continues.”

Bratton earlier told reporters the officer who tackled Blake has been put on desk duty while the department reviewed the incident.

“I have concerns about the takedown,” said Bratton, adding he has seen a video of the arrest.

“The concern we had: Was the force used appropriate, and the initial review – we believe it may not have been,” added Bratton, who was appointed by Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio at a time when he is trying to improve relations between police and minority residents of the city.

Once again I am reminded of the incredible team that PBO has assembled and how lucky we are for their service. It is very sad that the Rs fail to appreciate the goodness in all of them starting with PBO to VP Joe to SoS Kerry to Sec ENG Moniz to Treasure Sec Lew and the list goes on. Just an amazing group of people trying to do what is best for the country.

I don’t even like to use the “R-word” in the same sentence, when we’re mentioning the President and his fine team! Incredible is right.

whoa. just saw v.p. biden on colbert. that was incredible television, and to me, clearly a “soft launch” for a presidential run. colbert seemed to get it. i was not thrilled with bush the third being on the first show and how shrub the second mostly just got to deliver his meaningless talking points, but the last two nights have been amazing, especially tonight. a secondary brilliance of these last two colbert shows – having two heroes of the silicon valley libertarian set – elon musk and the uber dude – get exposed for how intellectually-challenged they really are.

as colbert usually does, he exposed their deficiencies with simple yet incisive questioning. i love tesla as a car company, but have never been part of the elon musk fan club. the company existed for years and had their plan in place long before elon swooped into with his e-bay billions and forced out the real visionaries who founded the company, yet as colbert keeps pointing out, he himself has a tesla yet can still ask elon challenging questions. tonight by the end, he had the uber guy bumbling through answers while asking questions centered around my critiques of this app-driven mindset that is ignorant of america’s economic history. I was a little worried after the first colbert show, but now feeling really good about the future on the colbert-led late show.

    #ridinwithbiden…big time!

        Good morning TOD!
Mr. Bobfr, before you go have a great weekend.
Thank you for all you do. Take your time……but hurry back!
        Have a great weekend everyone.
Good morning to walk in Central Park.
VC, this one is for you. I may even do a light jog…..that’s how great I feel.
        (Is it lite or light?)

I must say it was difficult getting to sleep last night because of having such a grateful heart.
Who says that? Who does that?
Well, with POB in charge and his choice of VP Biden I am learning to expect nothing but greatness from this team.
This is what true friendship looks like, feels like. And it is marvelous!
