Congrats to No Child! Thanks to Chips and Nerdy for taking us along with President Obama on this important journey in Alaska to learn about climate change impacts.
Wonder if these late decision makers ever considered that them taking so long to decide has eroded any possible excitement they may have intended with the delay?
Exactly, but who’s going to tell them they forfeited a lot of that (at least from average voters) by taking so long to *decide* on an issue that seemed pretty obvious. Case in point, I don’t feel in the least like thanking the late comers. I feel more like asking ‘What took you so long?
Yeah, I totally hear you. I just hope Sec Kerry, Moniz and POTUS are have their feet on a good cushion tonight and are taking a deep breath. They’ve worked so hard and now we are here.
I love Alaska myself … Lots of wilderness and when I was a kid dad and brother went there to go camping. So much fish to catch and everything. What an experience it was. đ
Wish I could have gone with the president. Especially liked the part with the fish and how the president wanted them to filet a fish and the secret service took all the knives which actually made sense.
I THINK PBO’S VISIT TO ALASKA HAS MADE SOME SIGNIIFICANT DENTS IN RATHER AWKWARD AND INSANE CLIMATE CHANGE THINKING…GREAT JOB MR. PRESIDENT,,,,THE DANCING BEAR IN SMOKIN’ SHOES!
Could the third time be a charm for Mitt Romney? The former Republican presidential candidate is making moves to explore another possible White House bid, according to sources. The Post’s Karen Tumulty explains what’s happening behind the scenes, and what it could mean for the 2016 GOP field. (Julie Percha/The Washington Post)

Mitt Romney is moving quickly to reassemble his national political network, calling former aides, donors and other supporters over the weekend and on Monday in a concerted push to signal his seriousness about possibly launching a 2016 presidential campaign.
Romneyâs message, as he told one senior Republican, was that he âalmost certainly willâ make what would be his third bid for the White House. His aggressive outreach came as Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) â Romneyâs 2012 vice presidential running mate and the newly installed chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee â announced Monday that he would not seek the presidency in 2016.

RMoney getting into the race might spark VPBidens decision to run with HRC campaign floundering and who knows what’s happening with BS. One day BS is within pouncing distance to HRC next day he’s so far behind.
I’ve been particularly thrilled with the TOD news of the Alaska trip because I was just there. Luckily I had 6 weeks instead of three days, but PBO packed in a lot. I never got to the Arctic, but I was in Snow City Cafe, hiked to Exit Glacier, had gelato from the same place in Seward, and joined in with Native dancers at the Alaskan Native Heritage Center outside of Anchorage. Plus I spent 4 days in Denali and actually got to see the wonderfully renamed mountain on one of those days. It’s notorious for hiding in the clouds.
So it’s been a blast watching him. My favorite part, and the pictures of it, were when he was with the kids at school. That’s the kind of subtle gesture that he is changing the world with — telling those kids they are worth the time and attention of the president of the US, that their life, their art, their rituals matter to the most important man on earth. There are so many good things that are coming of this time, despite the radical insanity we are suffering.
Those pictures look good, and so did your commentary, BetseyC!! I read the first paragraphs of both and will have to make a return trip to your blog soon. đ đ

Heâs completely unfamiliar with the America that elected Barack Obama president. And they are in fact very different Americas.â
Meta, this was the one action that brought Bibi forcefully to my attention (as an entity), and you can have no idea how anger sprung full blown into my heart towards him. Bibi’s rudeness and effrontery with this action, and in Pres O’s own *House*, was an eye opener for me as to his arrogance and lack of class. That first action kicked of a certain hatred for him and nothing he has done since endeared me to him. I have found all of his interactions towards PBO offensive. I remember thinking at the time – I know I will but I cannot wait to have the last laugh where you are concerned!
His arrogance and lack of grace is so off the charts, it’s ridiculous. His appearance was an affront and he know, as did the GOPers who invited him and the Dems who courted him. I recall PBO’s visit to his country, where he was most gracious and expressive of his support for Israel. And this is how he’s met. In my eyes, Netanyahu is truly despicable.
Alaska is part of the USA. Saying he is overseas sounds like out of the country. Alaskans deal with tourists asking what kind of money do we use here? What language do you speak? Do you live in an igloo. etc… Many maps in text books do not even include Alaska or make it appear the size of Hawaii. I know that firsthand having served on the Juneau District Social Studies Committee helping pick District textbooks. I lived there for ten glorious years and enjoyed the photo journal of PBO’s trip so much. Thanks for all your work on it.

Hey No Child, that’s from January – although it wouldn’t surprise me at all if it happened. Can it happen? When’s their ‘closing date’?
Have said for awhile that Willard was waiting in the cut for Jeb to fail.

THIS right here.
I was just about to complain that there was no mention at all on their TL. Finally!
