The tech staffer should not have been put in a position to pled the fifth in the first place.

And that is the difference between Hillary and President Obama. Who knows what if anything will come of this email situation or if its a situation at all. But somehow the Clintons always end up is some bullshit real or imagined. Even if there isn’t a there there, they always end up in some bullshit. Here you have President Obama getting a nuclear deal done, and Hillary is mixed up in some shit where the guy that set up her home server is now pleading the fifth.

And I don’t want to hear no shit about other SOS’s possibly doing business on non-governmental email accounts. If you work for the federal government you know goddamn well that doing governmental work isn’t permitted on non-governmental equipment, especially if you’re a high ranking government official.

Just saw this tweet from @NSCPress — the Facebook entry was signed -BO — how in the world does our President find the time to do so much at the same time, while still being in the moment? Just mind-boggling.

Here’s another under-the-radar (for our hapless, clueless, MSM) outreach to Iranian citizens by our determined President.

Wonder how this story is being covered by Tehran media?

(Know Chips prefers not to quote huge segments of an “article,” but these are PBO’s own words.)
“What an inspirational story. One of the most fulfilling things that can happen to you as a parent is to see the values you’ve worked to instill in your kids start to manifest themselves in their actions – and this one really resonated with me. I hope this young man never loses his desire to help others. And I’m going to continue doing whatever I can to make this world a place where he and every young person like him can live up to their full potential. (And if I ever get to meet him, I hope he’ll save me an apricot!) -bo”

The Family Values Party is at it again !

A Minnesota lawmaker who was ticketed after a park ranger caught him allegedly “making out” with another legislator last week inside a parked car said the two just met up to swap documents, not spit.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Tuesday that a Dakota County sheriff’s deputy issued citations for causing a nuisance on Aug. 25 to state Reps. Tim Kelly (R) and Tara Mack (R). Court records obtained by the newspaper showed the deputy found Kelly “making out with a female in car” around 4:30 p.m. in a park in Eagan, Minnesota. The deputy wrote in his notes that the woman’s pants “were unzipped and pulled down,” according to the Pioneer Press.

The lawmakers, who are married to other people, both issued statements that contested the deputy’s version of events.

Kelly said in a statement to the Pioneer Press that he met up with Mack in the park to pick up documents related to a health-care plan when he was approached by the deputy about a parking violation.

Was she just storing the documents in her panties ?

I don’t believe this story, the “in the park” part doesn’t make any sense. Everybody knows that men usually pick up other men in parks. What self-respecting Republican man would get caught in a park with a woman? This story is total bogus.

    Excellent Commentary..Worth a read….

If you believe the lie enough you become it. For Republican presidential candidates, they now have entered the realm where their fabricated talking points have become their truth. They cannot separate the truth from the lie. And worse, the Republican Party as a whole can no longer distinguish between the two. When 54% of Republicans believe Barack Obama is a Muslim in the year 2015, there is officially no distinction between the truth a lie in their minds. It has been repeated so often on Fox News, by their politicians, in their communities that they officially believe it to be true.

and the Press has all but abdicated its responsibility…to hold our elected officials accountable

a good post in that rawstory linky.

      There are three victories here.

The first victory goes to Kim Davis and the Fascist Fundamentalist Christians who are bankrolling her — because they got exactly what they wanted: a Fundie Martyr to fan the flames of their fanaticism even higher.

The second victory goes to the Constitution which is being upheld, and to the gay couples in that county who will now get the marriage licenses they are legally entitled to that they have been waiting months on end to acquire.

And the third victory goes to all Progressives: because we can now point to this precedent since it has been made crystal clear that the views of Fundamentalist Christianity are entirely incompatible with the fact that people have inalienable legal rights that must be upheld and protected via the Constitution of the United States.

My sense is that right about now it has gotten real for her, in her mind it was cute to her that she was able to stop someone from getting married. But now that she sits in federal lockup, it is slowing dawning on her that this isn’t cute anymore.

            September 3, 2015 at 3:06 pm

Oh she’ll be fine. She’ll sit tight in the lockup for a while – let that martyrdom marinate for a bit – then come out, resign and hire a booking agent.

What a disappointment Booker has turned out to be. Before our illustrious Prez, actually thought this guy had some substance but no. In addition to all his accomplishments, our illustrious Prez has truly exposed the fakes, grifters, self-aggrandizers we call our “public servants”.
