Stuuuuuuuupendous tweets Nerdy, thank you sooooooooooooo much!
I second that!

A police officer has been shot outside Chicago in Lake County, Illinois, and there’s a hunt on for three men suspected in the attack, authorities say.
Law enforcement on foot and in helicopters are combing the area, Lake County Sheriff’s Sgt. Christopher Covelli says. Canine units have also been dispatched, and residents have been asked to remain inside their homes and businesses, he says.
The condition of the officer wasn’t immediately clear.
Guns every damn where. Violent wackos every damn where in this country.
Sure hope the officer recovers and they catch the bastards.
i like to amend that to say that it not just the rw …it is also some members of the PL
Wow Nerdy! This new thread is Chock Full of WONDER! Thank you so much, Madame Curator! 😀
I second that emotion!

Excellent collection of Tweets, NW Thanks. 🙂
🙂
Thanks for posting this meta. I was just about to bring in this topic. Here’s some context for those wondering where this came from.
Ha!
So we’re now up to 32 Senators. 🙂 (Sorry for the duplicate if this has been posted earlier).
WOOTT! YESSSS!
Yup, and I get the feeling that Coons (KY-D) will be supporting the deal. He’s supposed to announce his decision at 2PM. The key hint for me is the setting (UDelaware).
WOW…I just saw what you retweeted. My thoughts about Coons exactly! 🙂
Inorite?
^5!
He sure took his sweet time…….in the end, he Gave Peace a change……
Chance 😳
He was considered a No vote on many lists. This builds momentum for the 41 vote filibuster.
and let the Congregation sayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy AMennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Poor Guy 🙂
This in reference to the suspects are being sought after a police shooting….two of which are white, the third Black. The rush to discredit #BlackLivesMatter and to associate them with violence is what’s driving these kinds of tweets.
Thank you for taking down this puke, representative of many. What I thought of when I heard the “American color wheel report” about this story on CNN is that although nobody knows where the suspects ran, witnesses knew right off what race they were.
I know “identifiers” have got to be put out there, but I wish I would live long enough to hear something like “three men are suspects and at large,” just once. Just once.
in the mean time two cops gunned down a man with his hands up and surrendering.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/hands-up-killed-texas-cops_55e5b650e4b0b7a9633a3094
in less than 23 mins…..Sen Coons will come out for the #IranDeal, my prediction.
Yup, I agree that he’ll be a “yes.” I hope Ben Cardin (MD-D) follows – he’ll also be making his announcement in a University setting?
He’d better! If one is going to be a NO vote, there is no need to make a pre-announcement, then an announcement. Just say NO in the words of Nancy Reagan.
I pray that he is a firm YES.
Oh my GOODNESS, somebody please make this happen! 😀 😎 😀
This is not fair. Now I can’t concentrate anymore!
Now I’ve forgotten who posted this. 🙂
Somebody page Corey Booker!
Here Kitty, Kitty!
I just heard that the man who wrote the book about James Bond think Elba is not right to play Bond. What was it he said? It wasn’t ghetto was it. I think it was the guy who wrote the book, I might be wrong, but someone was not please about the black guy being name to play Bond.
That was the gist of it, he was “too street” meaning thuggish or ghetto…..
BOOM…. (I’m still waiting for his live appearance, but I’ll take the pre-emptive report because I think it’s accurate). 🙂 🙂
Me, too. Waiting to hear it from him directly.
He’s a “yes.” I’m watching his live speech now, and I can already tell what he’s going to say. But most importantly, I’m listening to his rationale, and the process he went through in coming to this decision.
Gee, nice that a good number of Democrats actually do their jobs.
Indeed.
https://udcapture.udel.edu/udlive/watch.php?t=f&s=umsmonarch1.flv&a=udlive&w=1024&h=576
You can watch Coons’ live remarks on his decision here RIGHT NOW!
Just finish listening to Sen. Coons giving his reasons for supporting the Iran Deal. It would be so nice if the Republicans would had put politics aside and truly study this deal and made a honest decision. But they were against it from the start.
Is it true that the county clerk in KY, who is denying LGBT marriage licenses, has been married 4 times?
Oh yes. See my retweet below, but it is true. Yes.
Senator Coons is a reason-based policy maker as he is making crystal clear in his statement.
bbl …
My thank you note awaits moderation 🙂
bbl …..
Who’s shocked besides the media and they’re just as stupid.
I’d begin with garnishing the wages effective immediately. How many principles you have when there’s a $0 DEPOSIT next check time.
………………….
A county clerk in Kentucky who has invoked “God’s authority” and is defying the U.S. Supreme Court by refusing to license same-sex marriage has been summoned along with her entire staff to explain to a federal judge why she should not face stiff fines or jail time.
U.S. District Judge David Bunning moved swiftly Tuesday after a lesbian couple asked him to find Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis in contempt. Davis told several couples and a crowd of supporters and protesters that her religious beliefs prevent her from sanctioning gay marriage, and then retreated again, closing her office door and blinds to the raucous scene outside.
The U.S. Supreme Court declined to intervene Monday night, leaving Davis no legal ground for her continued refusal Tuesday morning. Lawyers for the two gay couples who originally sued her asked the judge Tuesday to find her in contempt, but punish her with only financial penalties, not jail time.
“Since Defendant Davis continues to collect compensation from the Commonwealth for duties she fails to perform,” they asked Bunning to “impose financial penalties sufficiently serious and increasingly onerous” to compel her immediate compliance without delay.

Change is Gonna Come.
Give Peace a Chance.
Now on to 41 😉
The Bear is loose!
50 Years of Days of Our Lives
………………
50 Years in Salem! Watch a Supercut for the Days of Our Lives Anniversary
BY MICHELE CORRISTON @mcorriston 08/27/2015 AT 02:50 PM EDT
In 50 years, the Horton and Brady families have seen countless steamy kisses, dramatic breakups and near-death experiences.
NBC is paying homage to Days of Our Lives’ fifth decade on the air this fall, and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the soap opera’s big anniversary.
Days premiered Nov. 8, 1965, and is one of the longest-running TV shows in history. The series counts Alison Sweeney, Eileen Davidson and John Aniston (Jennifer’s father!) among its famous alumni, and actors like Suzanne Rogers have called its set home for most of their careers.

First—Thank you, Nerdy. Even for you, this post breaks all records. So much news I will read it again .
Then, Donna, if you are around.. In answer to your question about the anti Schumer campaign getting traction in NYC. Not so far as I can tell. As of last night and this morning. Plenty of scary anti-Iran deal on TV, though.
Hahahahahahaha Idris is “too street.” Which street is that? Mr. Elba’s natural accent is British. All those photos it is a miracle if I can continue to organize my thoughts.
OK. YAY!! Hi hip hooray! Senators Coons and Casey!!!! #32 and #33.
Plus a number of Congress people.
41 is possible.
I’d also like to see Nancy Pelosi get as many of the 188 (D) congresscritters on board.
as possible—to finish my thought.
Senator Ben Cardin from MD (one of the Iran deal hold-outs) just posted this on his FB page, after meeting with students at Johns Hopkins:
So, what is it? A yes or a no?
Again, I don’t know what his final decision will be. But i have optimism that it will be a “yes.” You don’t go to the top science research university in the US if you’re looking for a reason to say “no.”
This is excruciating. What deal is a guarantee forever? No options are off the table, but the lid comes off if we don’t support the best chance for significantly improving the situation. Isn’t this obvious?
I think all of this is part of the politics of demonstrating that “a lot of thought and consideration of all sides and caveats” has gone into the final decision – which will be in support of the deal.
he sounds like he’s looking for guarantees forever. Not thrilled with this. Hopefully the Johns Hopkins students will set him straight.
So have Ben Cardin announced which way he was voting, for or against.
I’m sorry but he is the ranking member of the foreign relations committee so he should know this deal like the back of his hand. All this stuff is just staging for whatever decision he has already made and just not told us. Whether its for or against he needs to just man up and tell us what he is going to do. He is getting on my last nerve.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo from NY going to Puerto Rico.
It will be interesting to see where others will be.
I can’t remember how many times I’ve told people I know (on both sides of the aisle) to never bet against barack. In the end he almost always gets enough (or all) of what he wants to advance the ball down the field. And here we are again, with PBO getting what he wants (and the US needs) over the piles of $$ and propaganda thrown against his Iran Deal.
Bravo Mr. President. I hope he is really enjoying the trip to AK, his speech was very moving IMO!
Well, well, well… who woulda thunk it?
Mortified? Hmm? Only when caught?
He can go directly to a Fiery Blaze.
Dudette I wish I could tell the bigot to take the apology and shove it. What reason would he have for being against Idris Elba, other then he is black.
Maybe I’m wrong, who knows.
