Good morning Chips and TODers. I have a feeling that our President is biding his time, letting the clown car candidates become crazier and crazier and then, in a way no one will see coming, will lower the boom in some unexpected way. If you took Trump and all his wannabe candidate colleagues with him, they would not together equal one tiny fraction of the brain power of PBO and none of them has one scintilla of his strategic brilliance, despite all the dark money behind them. He will let them all reveal themselves, getting more and more outrageous and slinging larger and larger clumps of poo (ugh) and secretly he will smile. I think that, in the end, PBO will so turn this GOP summer of lunacy to his and our ultimate advantage, that it will almost look as if he planned it.

      Good morning TOD.
Jackie, what you described above is the way I think PBO has been operating for 61/2 years. Variations of the rope-a-dope
I don’t think much happens by accident in the PBO WH.

Current evidence of the long term planning are the simultaneous rollouts of the Iran Deal votes and VP Biden’s candidacy.

PBO’s style is like a symphony. Themes are introduced, disappear for a while, reappear in fuller form, and come together in a grande finale.

        August 26, 2015 at 9:16 am

Yes, Vicki, and I think it will take years before historians grasp the full scope of PBO’s political mastery. He is one of the, if not THE, most brilliant presidents of all times and he will not let everything he built be destroyed by the crude barbarians who are now vying to succeed him. In the end, media, the clueless candidates, the Republican establishment and even the billionaires will not know what hit them.

“he is very successful. He has handled an impressive portfolio impeccably and been in the room with PBO on every single important discussion and decision. He will let them all reveal themselves, getting more and more outrageous and slinging larger and larger clumps of poo (ugh) and secretly he will smile. I think that, in the end, PBO will so turn this GOP summer of lunacy to his and our ultimate advantage, that it will almost look as if he planned it.”

jackiegrumbacher — isn’t that the way it always ends? Raging tempest in a teapot and then PO lifts the lid and shows everybody that it is nothing but just a bunch of hot air.

You totally read my mind. I think you are spot on…they get more and more emboldened to make even more outrageous statements because the MSM never calls them out/corrects their wild assertions and lies, so they keep pushing the envelope further and further to the crazy zone…offending more and more people along the way. I hope it doesn’t just bite them all in the ass, but devour them. This is not anywhere near an acceptable political party worthy of guiding anything…this is an audition to get into an insane asylum.

Jackie, Vicki, No Spin,DF, reminds me of my very wise dorm mother in college, who always bided her time in regard to those who pushed or broke the rules at the school. She said she was just waiting, and eventually the perpetrators would do something where they would get caught by the authorities. It was the only way in which they could learn a lesson. Unfortunately, for Republicans and the MSM, it seems they are incapable of learning, as they repeat these scenarios over and over with ever increasing intensity and stupidity.

I am so disgusted with both of my Senators. Barbara Mikulski who is not even running for re-election so has nothing to gain by voting against this deal has said nothing. Her office says she is reviewing the deal carefully and IMO Ben Cardin pledges his allegiance to AIPAC. 😡

        • August 26, 2015 at 9:59 am

Cardin is definitely squishy on this vote. I’d be shocked if Mikulski didn’t vote yes but why she’s taking so long, who knows? There’s no honor in being among the very last.

            August 26, 2015 at 10:03 am

Cardin is a No on this Deal. I feel it in my bones. He’s just holding out waiting until the last minute hoping that if others vote no with him the impact won’t be so great. Mikulski I think in the end will vote with the President.

Good morning TOD. I, too, do not understand Barbara Mikulski’s stalling on announcing. I have always admired her quick and to the point take on so many issues. I will email her office, and see if I can get a few friends to do so as well, even though she is not our Senator.

Marcy Borders, the woman who became known as the “Dust Lady” from the iconic 9/11 image taken of her, dazed and covered in ash, after the south tower of the World Trade Center collapsed, has died of stomach cancer, according to her family. She was 42.

“I can’t believe my sister is gone,” Borders’ brother Michael Borders wrote on Facebook of her death Monday. The mother of two was a native and lifelong resident of Bayonne, N.J. She was diagnosed with cancer last August and had been undergoing treatments, according to NJ.com.

But What About Black Superheroines, You Ask? Watch Episode 1 of CW Seed’s Vixen Series

By Tambay A. Obenson | Shadow and Act

    August 25, 2015 at 1:00PM

Yes, we’re all anxious for the Black Panther movie, as well as the Luke Cage TV series that’s coming to Netflix. Also, Cyborg will be at the center of his own big screen movie adaptation.

But what about the black women superheroes? Storm is probably the most mainstream right now, if only due to the X-Men movie franchise, as played by Halle Berry. But there are certainly others.

For example, there’s Vixen (alter-ego – Mari Jiwe McCab) – a female super-hero from the fictional African nation of Zambesi, whose superhero powers include using her Tantu Totem to channel the powers of animals in the animal kingdom, so she’s able to mimic the abilities of any animal that has ever lived on Earth. Nice powers to have.

an entry for the 2015 Quote of the Year: “We know his goal is to make America great again,” a woman said. “It’s on his hat.”

LMAO. WOW! Who knew? Real brainiac she is…all it takes is putting a recycled slogan on a hat?

      • 78 57andfemale
        August 26, 2015 at 10:54 am

This is what makes me crazy about the Dems. They do nothing as a party to re-frame the message. Most people only listen to the “white noise” of politics. If the GOP is screaming outrage that they are being mistreated, that’s what the majority of voters hear. If the Dems do not do the same thing, and re-frame what is heard in the white noise, these low information voters assume there is nothing to be outraged about. This comes from leadership and DWS and her predecessors have been so busy chasing the “white worker” who turned away from the Dems 30 years ago, they don’t bother to do their damned jobs. PBO hasn’t been treated unfairly because DWS, Schumer, & the others don’t bother to demand that he be treated with respect. It’s outrageous.

        • 79 99ts
          August 26, 2015 at 11:11 am

I find it amazing how the dems are held to such a higher level of honesty than the GOP. If a dem nominee acted like Trump they would have been gone on day 2. Hillary Clinton is attacked non stop for any perceived fault – by both sides.

The LIES that the GOPers tell and the media let them tell is beyond reality. Trump’s questions were as basic as those that Katie Curic asked Pain – yet he is screaming about being treated badly smh

          • 80 57andfemale
            August 26, 2015 at 11:13 am

Trump third wife was a topless model, but Michelle Obama isn’t classy enough for the GOP. This is the stuff that the alleged “feminists” should be screaming about, which would throw the insults back in the GOP court, as well as the hypocrisy. Astounding.
