    Albeit free, it’s the kindest advice anyone can give her, now ….

    She is no match once Joe (and all of us) get rolling toward victory on 8 Nov 2016.

      No wonder Bill was motor mouthing at PBO during their golf match …. PBO was probably gentlemanly enough to inform Bill, f2f, that Joe is his guy πŸ™‚

    I love my VP. I love Joe. If he decides to run, I’ll back him with all I have. Exactly as I did for President Obama. I want a Democrat to succeed POTUS and ensure forward progress. Anyone of the clowns from the GOP car will dismantle all s/he can, eliminate whatever, give more tax breaks to their patrons while making sure that the average American is left to fend alone.

    Energy? Drill, baby, drill. Faster and all over!
    Climate change? in your dream.
    Education? We don’t need to be educated anyway, so why college affordability and financial aid?
    Obamacare? Pleaaaaaaase.

    For this reason, I will stand by the Democratic nominee as I know for sure POTUS will do. May she or he win. That’s all that matters.

    I will not laugh nor make fun of either one of the Democratic candidates, be it Sanders or Hillary. MAY THE ONE THAT CAN WIN A GENERAL ELECTION win. Anyone of them is better than a Walker, Rubio, Christie, Kasich, or Bush.

    Finally getting my techsh*t together, listening to PBO on laptop, checking in here on iPhone: man oh man, I knew PBO would be on fiyah! (He looks great!) but in my heart I despair no one will really listen. And bigoil, king coal and frackers will just pretend we are not well immersed in The Sixth Extinction – our own. 2050 may be way too late, I fear for our young people, what do that have to face to exist to old age?

      I have asked that same question, these Trump supporters are so fill with racists rage that they will not ask how is Trump going to do all these things. How is Trump going to make Mexico pay for a fence? How is Trump going to fine and remove 11 million people? What is it going to cost?

        August 24, 2015 at 9:16 pm

        He’s going to ask them nicely and then offer them a plane ride on AF1 or now Trump1….then have Mexico pay for the cost of the wall and deportation. I read that they plan to take all the undocumented folks wages to pay for the relocation….

        I got you. As stated in a few posts way back when, I start to get the profiles of those who cling to, believe, agree with, and cheer The Donald. They must be what in French is called les misΓ©rables. One has to have a serious deficit of intelligence, discernment, empathy, decency, common sense, but a great deal of anger or hatred to believe that one’s answer can be found in this buffoon with an ingrained hair plaque.

    Starting to get a real sense of how bad it is going to be when PBO’s term is over. I love Joe, but PBO is THE president of my lifetime. I have visions of myself digging out his speeches on YouTube to get my PBO fix:-)

    • August 24, 2015 at 9:08 pm

      It will be truly dreadful and difficult. POTUS and FLOTUS have touched all of us in a deep way. I think we’re going to have to form a therapy group.

      Oh Foxfire, you are so right. Within a minute of PBO starting his talk tonight I realized how much I have missed hearing his voice and seeing his smiling face in the last few weeks.

      Love POTUS but VPOTUS will be just fine. Barack is a once in a lifetime President and I am okay with that. He solved a lot of issues and gained a lot of yards moving us down the political field. Joe will grab the ball and keep it moving. May be at a different pace and with a different moves but the ball WILL keep moving forward. I am totally okay with that.

    It may end up that this “emailgate” amounts to little;

    but,

    Repeating some things I said when this email crap first broke :

    (a) installing a private server, undisclosed to your boss, is a betrayal that didn’t have to happen;

    (b) once this becomes an issue in the news, then you should produce the material which would put out the hair-on-fire;

    (c) supporters may believe you but the media frenzy just diverts attention from important policy issues that are crucial to a campaign;

    (d) once you know you are going to run for office (in this case all your life), then plan to clean up as much mess in your life as you can and do not make more

    • August 24, 2015 at 9:26 pm

      Agree, Linda. But, if it also shown that she received, transmitted and/or stored emails containing classified information on her private email system, she broke several laws – the penalties for doing so being non-trivial. I know of what I write.

    • August 24, 2015 at 9:32 pm

      BINGO. The thing I really don’t understand is why she chooses to just act pissed instead of just dealing with it. That doesn’t end suspicion, it heightens it.

      What she did may not be illegal, but it’s a sure instance of very bad judgment. People who keep insisting that she didn’t break any rules or policy miss the point. And has the State Department changed their policy since this fiasco?

        August 24, 2015 at 9:58 pm

        It’s the way the GOP behave when they are accused of anything – works for the GOP – but the media holds the dems accountable for anything and everything – whether they fight it – or ignore it. Caesar’s wife only has to be above suspicion in PBO’s administration.

        The law was changed in 2014 Meta, after she left the State department. It now is required that employees only use State department servers for all work related email.

    Good evening, TOD! Listened to POTUS’ address, while enjoying a delightful “Obama’08 Salad” for dinner. “Obama’08 Salad?” Glad you asked! Those that participated on the BarackObama.com blog will recall that folks would offer up all types of enticements to get donations for their fundraisers. One participant offered arugula seeds from her garden. I harvested the seed from my initial planting and continue to do so each year. Tonight’s salad was avocado, mango, Lump crabmeat on a bed of arugula with a ginger pomegranate dressing.

    Even if nothing “new” comes up after the climate change conference in Paris in December, PBO and his staff are going to have a very busy final 12 months in office. He has started so many things this year that will need managing, first and foremost the Iran deal implementation. The best way to protect this will be to ensure that the implementation has progressed sufficiently so it will not be easily undone. Then there is Cuba, Daesh, Afghanistan, Syria, Putin, etc and that’s just the FP front. Still hoping he gets a positive outcome on his executive orders on immigration so that gets implemented as well. In short, he is going to be one busy President during the remainder of his term!
