Thanks to my thuggish union, I get 3 weeks of vacation time yearly (going up to 4 weeks at 10 years service). So I basically have evil European socialist benefits.
My question. Who can actually take 4 weeks’ worth of holiday at one time? I’m coming to the end of my 1 week staycation and I’m jonesing to get back to work. And, yes, I’ve taken traveling vacations, and have been ready to head home after a few days.
And, speaking of my thuggish union, update on our negotiations: 10% pay raise, benefits maintained, and the laughable proposal put forth by management to make Sunday a regular day of work rather than overtime thrown off the table.

I remember meeting with The Obama Diary group at the Air and Space Museum right before the second inauguration. That was such a blast. My book group, which we call the Obama Mamas, has been meeting since right after the first election. We met while we were campaigning. We have decided to make a group trip to Washington DC next spring. We are calling this trip our Gratitude Trip. We are trying to express our most devoted and humble gratitude to our wonderful President and also his whole family. We can’t begin to imagine what America would be like without his leadership. Your trip just reminded me of our upcoming trip. I hope our President realizes how much America loves him.

I think it is important to highlight that there is a black elite. So many white folks think all black people are at risk or living in abject poverty. I didn’t like the tone of the article, particularly where the author wrote PBO danced while Ferguson burned. 9 swear I have developed such a hatred of media. it almost makes me ill.

I am undergoing a hip replacement this Fall followed by a knee replacement tentatively scheduled for late Spring in ’16. I worry about missing all of you after PBO is no longer in office too.

Babeu took Carson on a helicopter ride to show him reputed drug-trafficker hideouts, and Carson, who seems dangerously clueless for a neurosurgeon, suggested that U.S. military drone strikes be authorized on some of these spots in Pinal County.

But here is the irony, here’s the thing that all the angry Black people know, and no calmly debating White people want to admit: The entire discussion of race in America centers around the protection of White feelings.

We are frustrated that black folks don’t understand we need to get those bankers who so grievously offended us in jail before we can deal with a justice system that has been destroying black lives for hundreds of years. We need for you black folks to understand that we are all for civil disobedience, just not in our territory. We honor MLK Jr, Thoreau, and Ghandi. In fact, we revere MLK Jr so much, we bestow his courage onto just about any white risk-taker, even if the risks pale beside the ones King took.
We can’t understand why Bernie’s activism 50 years ago shouldn’t excuse his inactivity for the last 50 years. Sure he, like every other Liberal in congress, has voted for civil rights laws while paying lip service to unspeakable injustices suffered by black folks. We don’t understand why you black folks don’t feel a sense of indebtedness and gratitude toward Bernie although both he and we have forgotten MLK Jr.’s admonition about “the urgency of now.”
As a friend told me once, “We black folks are the experts on white machinations. We’ve seen it all before. You think we haven’t heard “wait your turn,” or “you’ll hurt your cause” before? We’ve heard and seen it all. Liberals think a position paper should mean something to us. They think appointing a black woman as press secretary means something to us. You think we are fooled by a black shield.
What we know is this. We weren’t invited to be on his staff. Hell, we weren’t even invited to his table. We see whites feed off each other’s privilege, which is the status quo. We see white progressives as part of and supportive of the status quo.”

I came across a article where it says that Trump send the Marine who is in Mexico prison $25,000, why Obama does nothing. My question is why doesn”t Trump goes to Mexico and make them release the Marine, and then make Mexico pay for the his trip, make them pay the Marine some money, and stand in public and tell Mexico if i Donald Trump is ever President I will build a wall on the broader and make you guys pay for it.
And while he is in Mexico tell them that he will send all undocumented Mexicans back.
