      GM LP.

      This was my response to the sorority chick video yesterday.

      I know you can’t relate, but as someone who came of age in the 1970s and truly believed that 2015 would look more like Star Trek (nonchalant multiculturalism) than Birth of A Nation, I’m aghast at how clueless, shallow and greedy America has become.

      Hated sororities and painted on make-up then, hard to believe how self-absorbed and unaware these people are.

      Haven’t read the @nytimes article, have no desire to do, but MSM seems to have 2 POVs: schadenfreude (journos as Silicon Valley wannabes) and revere the wealthy and their priorities/lifestyles).

        I heard some of the complaints by past and anonymous employees and they are absolutely disgusting. Most of these were from office workers who were treated awful. One guy they said was bawling at his desk after a peer review. One lady was so stressed she miscarried and was forced to travel the next day or lose her job. He claims he knew nothing about it. THAT IS WHY WE NEED UNIONS in the private sector workplace.

    The Washington Post whip count in the Senate has 30 yes votes counting leaners. plus 4 “unknowns” Murray, Cantwell, Mikulski, Stabenow, Another 9 purely undecided, and Wyden leaning NO and Schumer and Menendez definite NO. Looking at those numbers 34 looks like an easy reach, but 41 filibuster votes is also attainable. Those “unknowns” look like yes votes to me, so grab another 7 of the undecided and we’ve got a filibuster. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/07/14/whip-count-where-the-senate-stands-on-the-iran-deal/

    I don’t know what decision VP Joe Biden will make about running for POTUS;

    but it has been quite educational to see what beltway insiders are taking garbage and the other people who are giving VP space to decide what he thinks is right while at the same time wishing he would choose to serve once more;

    I hope that as many of us hear the beltway garbage about why VP, shouldn’t even consider a run, we remember that these were probably the same voices who NEVER wanted him on the Obama/Biden ticket in the first place.

    I would not be surprised if these are same people who tried to push VP of the ticket during the re-election and who spread all kinds of rumors claiming WHY PBO would never win re-election unless he “replaced VP Joe” with you know who …..

    so it the same back-stabbers on a different day so take their garbage with a grain of salt. Only VP and Dr. Jill Biden, know what he is going to do

    Good Morning TODVille.

    Not wanting to ruin your morning but THE DONALD continues to grow in GOP territory. I wish him well until his “You’re fired” moment.

    More than any other Republican candidate for president, Donald Trump has won his party’s trust on top issues and now stands as the clear leader in the race for the Republican nomination. A new CNN/ORC poll finds Trump with the support of 24% of Republican registered voters. His nearest competitor, Jeb Bush, stands 11 points behind at 13%. Just behind Bush, Ben Carson has 9%, Marco Rubio and Scott Walker 8%, Rand Paul 6%, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina and John Kasich all land at 5%, with Mike Huckabee rounding out the top 10 at 4%.

    Trump is the biggest gainer in the poll, up 6 points since July according to the first nationwide CNN/ORC poll since the top candidates debated in Cleveland on August 6. Carson gained 5 points and Fiorina 4 points. Trump has also boosted his favorability numbers among Republicans: 58% have a favorable view of Trump now; that figure stood at 50% in the July survey.

      Good morning, TOD. I just read a story entitled: What my years as a Christian fundamentalist taught me about right-wing faith. (Man is now an athiest.) The main thing he focuses on the immigration issue. And what is pushing Trump and therefore the rest of the circus crowd? Their hate-filled take on immigration!
