HelloooOOOoooOOOooo TOD!

A trazillion thanks for the birthday good wishes – I canNOT believe I am 23! šŸ™„

A trazillion gazillion thanks to Nerdy for splendiferously running TOD the last couple of weeks – and most probably having no sleep or fresh air since I set sail for the beach. She’s several billion bunches of awesome, eternally and massively grateful.

Aaaaand – huuuuge thanks to LL, Zizi and even Amk for helping out in a highly stupendous fashion, I owe you all one of my cheesy puff and peanut butter cakes.

I’m hopelessly out of touch with all the news (I will share my dongle-thingie traumas one day, but I’m not ready to go there just yet, it’s way too painful), so will go through all the posts to catch up so I don’t ask questions like ‘who is this Obama chap that you speak of?’.

Will be back to semi-normal-ish next week, and fully normal-ish the week after.

All of which means: Nerdy will finally get some sleep.

Hope you’re all doing great, love and huuuuuuugs!

Peter Sullivan: 16M Fewer Uninsured Since ObamaCare, Study Finds

The number of people without health insurance has declined by 15.8 million since ObamaCare’s coverage expansion took effect, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).Ā The National Health Interview Survey finds that the number of uninsured people has declined from 44.8 million in 2013, before ObamaCare’s coverage expansion took effect, to 29 million in the first quarter of 2015. Ā The uninsured rate fell from 14.4 percent in 2013 to 9.2 percent in 2015, according to the CDC.

The CDC report follows other studies that have found similar drops in the uninsured rate under ObamaCare.Ā The Obama administration estimated in March that 16.4 million people had gained coverage under the law, using Gallup survey data.Ā On Monday, Gallup released a survey showing the uninsured rate had fallen from 17.3 percent in 2013 to 11.7 percent.Ā The survey also found that there are now seven states with uninsured rates at or below 5 percent: Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, Minnesota, Iowa, Connecticut and Hawaii. Before this year, only Massachusetts had a rate that low.
