    “Shallow Jeb
The former Florida governor was supposed to be the GOP’s next foreign policy statesman. He just proved he’s not.”

Most presidential candidates who deliver a “major foreign policy address” have something original, potent, or insightful to say. On Tuesday night, as with most other aspects of his campaign to date, Jeb Bush defied expectations.

    clip

Throughout the speech, Bush spoke of restoring trust in American leadership. But what he proposed doing in his first days as president—scuttling a deal that the nation’s top diplomats and scientists negotiated alongside five great powers of Europe and Asia, and that the U.N. Security Council then unanimously endorsed—would shatter that trust and diminish that leadership.

When Jeb Bush entered the race, pundits and politicians proclaimed him the front-runner. At the moment, the most encouraging poll puts him barely into double digits, drawing half as much support as “Undecided.” A poll out Tuesday night has him in seventh place in Iowa, luring just 5 percent of those surveyed. Of course, all this could change, especially after—or if—Donald Trump flames out. Meanwhile, if Bush hopes to get a boost from his ideas in foreign policy, this speech isn’t likely to do the trick.

Look up the town hall schedule of your Senators and Representatives and attend to show support for the ones who have declared themselves in favor of the Iran Deal and Clean Power Plan. Let the ones who oppose know that you respectfully but vehemently disagree.

      Very good suggestion Judith!!!

When I lived in Rep Karen Bass’ District, I attended several of her town hall meetings. Now that I’m in the SG Valley, I intend to involved myself here too.

“An Ohio woman told police she didn’t want to die in custody just a few hours before she was found dead in her jail cell bed.

Ralkina Jones, 37, was found unresponsive on July 26, 15 hours after she discussed her medical issues with police.”

As if the full page newspaper ads weren’t bad enough
and the editorials by Bloomberg’s anti-PBO Boy’s Club weren’t enough
and the loud endless TV ads blaring about EYE-rack hadn’t turned everyone off by now

I was out for a few hours and came back to see my landline full of robocalls against the Iran Nuclear deal.

This is likely to last until the votes and veto process ends. It will be an extremely long 61/2 weeks for supporters of Peace, Diplomacy, President Obama and SOS Kerry.

Cablers, TV and the rest of the News Media are Poll Obsessed……..yet with Poll Numbers heavily tilted in the Positive by the Citizenry, all of a sudden, the same Corrupt Media are Muted? Who is serving whom? I am finally coming out in full support of a Partisan News Media as they once were in the beginning of our Union.

I think that people are overestimating the value of leading a field of this size by garnering 22%. As the field narrows the real numbers will take shape. Trump’s 22% is of little value if he is not the 2nd or even 3rd preference of the other 78% of republican idiots. As the 1st choice of these people gets eliminated, they will shift their support behind their favorite remaining candidate.

        I beg to differ.
The GOPer base are in a revolt state of mind.
Those people now going down in numbers, should Trump manage not to self implode, Trump will eventually get the supports of Walker, Perry…what’s left it, Huckabee, etc. GOPers are known to fall in line. They always vote. They don’t get mad and stay home……that is an act, uniquely Dems.

    • August 12, 2015 at 4:42 pm

These idiots like Tapper and Lemon, in fact the entire media loves to talk to or about that loud mouth racists, sexists bully Donald Trump. I couldn’t imagine Walter Cronkrite wasting his time with something like Trump.
