Listen Bibi and Schumer: #IranWar = ISIS Caliphate

by @zizii2

No mincing words. Killing the #IranDeal is a vote for war with Iran. Listen Bibi & Schumer: War with Iran erases the single obstacle to the total conquest of the Middle East by ISIS Sunni Extremists. How do we know this? One word, Iraq. If we think it’s bad enough that Iraq today is overrun by ISIS that we toil at great expense to reclaim; it will be a Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade compared to what the region will look like if we get embroiled in war with Iran.

We will in effect be acting as ISIS’ turbocharged cavalry and bombardiers. I repeat. We will be fighting ISIS’ war for them by demolishing their arch Shia enemy. More than a decade ago, America’s dangerous stupidity in waging the Iraq War created the vacuum that led directly to the rise of our worst nightmare; ISIS/ISIL. Now we will be both their cannonballs and fodder.

isis map

But our tunnel vision predated GWB’s Mid-East blunder in the maniacal miscalculations we made in backing Saddam Hussein against Iran during the Iran/Iraq War all because our fee fees were hurt about the ouster of the Shah in 1979 (not to mention the horror we committed in 1953). As surely as there exists the law of gravity, we nuked ourselves in the foot each and every time we dabbled in the Middle East by creating cancerous power vacuums as we zoomed in and out detonating blowback ordnance on our own heels.

The NeoCon cabal, their Military Industrial Complex puppetmasters, plus their myopic Democratic Party bedfellows may satisfy their immediate greed, but America will be crippled and isolated permanently in its hubris.

But what I cannot understand is why Israel would want to empower ISIS, the very terrorist group that has graphically demonstrated its unimaginable capacity to unleash pure evil across wide swathes of the Middle East, which dwarfs any atrocities of Hamas and Hezbollah, while menacingly advancing? What is the geopolitical calculation here?

Does Bibi think Israel will be able to withstand horror being unleashed from all fronts in its own neighborhood? Or does he think American blood and treasure plus his own arsenal of weapons are enough of a security blanket to fight an enemy that has zero compunctions about massacring and dying for its cause?

Has Bibi paused to ask what his alliance with Saudi Arabia (master funder of ISIS) all in the name of countering the “existential threat” of Iran, will gain him in the long run? It is quite telling that Bibi has NOT shown concern about America’s own suffering immensely at the hands of Sunni extremists (al Qaeda, AQ-Iraq, AQ-Yemen, ISIS). For him, it is all about the “enemy of my enemy” calculations providing short term mirages of benefit. But MIRAGES are all Israel is getting!!!.

And when the pot boils over as Sunni extremists gain total control of Mesopotamia, the offensive nightmare that Huckabee is invoking re the #IranDeal will be the least of Israel’s worries. And when that happens Uncle Sam with all its military might and nuclear arsenal won’t be able to save itself let alone Israel.

iran

So what gives?

Schumer’s disingenuous rationale for opposing the #IranDeal is the ultimate tell of what the real intentions of Bibi and the NeoCons are. Their opposition has nothing to do with Iran’s purported ambitions to acquire a Nuclear weapon. That is a ruse.

They want Iran as a regional power bombed to smithereens in order to remake the region and its resources in Bibi’s/NeoCons image. The discredited PNAC fantasy (Project for a New American Century) on steroids!

saudi2

The utter bloody failure of Act I of the PNAC fantasy as unleashed in Iraq has done zero to slow the NeoCons’ relentless march to embroil us in Act II in Iran, American lives, purse, and world peace be damned! Yet they don’t have an answer for the rise of malignant counterforces like ISIS.

That is precisely what President Obama is grappling with: the threats to American lives and interests. Unlike Bibi’s selfish powerplay, President Obama is seeking a strategic bulwark against ISIS’ advances in the region, and Iran fits that bill. It is not a matter of “trusting Iran” but understanding the necessity of geopolitical checks and balances.

More importantly the #IranDeal serves notice to Saudi Arabia that it cannot continue to enjoy benefits of alliance with us while funding the very groups that harm us and our interests without consequence.

saudi

So why are Bibi and acolytes poking our eye? Allies or ISIS advance men? Uhuh…

Call Schumer and give him an earful. Ask him if he wants ISIS victory. Hear he cancelled his press rollout today

Repeating my comment at the end of the last thread

Outside of the US it seems the Iran deal is done & dusted. NOTHING in media in my part of the world puts it in any doubt – not even discussed. Main US news I’m seeing at the moment is Murdoch media (and others) trying to down ding Trump.

Zizi, thank you for a quality discussion of a bleak situation.
This is the truth as I see it too. Not about Iran getting nuclear weapons.

More about US considering its current alliances and perhaps re-aligning with Iran at Saudi Arabia’s expense.
Oil is $44 per barrel today.
I know it is more complex than oil, oil, oil, but not that much more complex, perhaps.

Thanks, ZIZi, for this informative piece, why we need to keep pushing this.

This isn’t another we have to support him, because he’s a democrat and we have the necessary votes so it’s okay. It matters a great deal to all of us who are tired of going to war, where we see the needless death and destruction of so many lives.

Now, everyone leave them the heck alone, and let them have some space. No one on earth has worked as hard and as devotedly as PBO and MO, down time is crucial for health and mental balance. God bless and keep them. Rest, play, read, take naps, laugh. Walk the beach, watch the stars. Like normal people get to do most of the time. ❤ ❤

Bob – Think I told you (it’s been a mild whirlwind) he came home two days ago, has to return in a couple of weeks for the next big procedure (since the Gorilla Glue didn’t fully seal the fistula), so is out on parole aka vacay aka leave. Yes, he’s been outside in the sunshine both yesterday and today – between doing other things and getting an afternoon siesta in! Walked down with all his gear hanging off him to my house two mornings in a row to have coffee with me, like “old times.” Life is good!

Oh, and, I told him his new career will be co-authoring a joke book with me of one-liners such as “You’re looking at me like that, Mom, when I only have one lung?” or “You get the tab; I only have one lung.” I kidded him that if he fits that into a sentence one more time (which now he’s doing incessantly), I’ll close his morning coffee club membership! Ha. It’s a riot.

So very happy for you and your son that you are having such a fun time together as he recovers and prepares for further challenges, Jacqueline. And, yes, I had read previously the other information but was just hoping the two of you had as good a day today as you did yesterday.

You’re both constantly in my thoughts.

I wonder if Schumer is surprised at the level and intensity of the reaction against him. He’s never had to face such a firestorm before. About time!

  21. August 7, 2015 at 9:27 pm

Thanks y’all for your compliments. But it is depressing how much the PNAC thinking that was totally discredited by 2008 has resurged with such triumphalist vengeance. So much so that the blunder that was Iraq and the glaring consequence that we all shudder from, in the form of ISIS has become a wedge partisan issue. that we Democrats re cowering in front of the deadly mistakes of Wolfowitz, Kristol, Cheney et al, is SICK SICK SICK!!!

Zizi, this is a brilliant post filled with the kind of information that those who speak blithely of war haven’t the wit or the willingness to understand. The difference between now and the onset of the Iraq war is that today we have a President who is a master of international relations and who understands exactly what is at stake in the Middle East for both the US and world. But his time in office is limited. The danger for all of us is that our culture has embraced ignorance and rewarded the uninformed. That’s why we have presidential candidates who can declare that starting a war with Iran is their top priority and be rewarded with applause, rather than boos. Literally everything is at stake in the 2016 election and we have to approach our GOTV efforts as if our lives depended on it. Because they do.

      • August 7, 2015 at 10:11 pm

Frightening I tell you. And Hillary does not inspire confidence in me that she will shift from her hawkish mindset. As Prez Obama said, too many people are worried about appearing weak than doing the painstaking work of diplomacy. The short dick syndrome permeates American culture too much, even among women. I fear the NeoCons have won regardless of if the #IranDeal survives. They have wormed their way back to center stage and political credibility. Tragic

    Great analysis Zizi.

I have one very simple question about the following:

“Does Bibi think Israel will be able to withstand horror being unleashed from all fronts in its own neighborhood? Or does he think American blood and treasure plus his own arsenal of weapons are enough of a security blanket to fight an enemy that has zero compunctions about massacring and dying for its cause?”

Do you think Bibi would hesitate to nuke Iran? I ask because I think Bibi knows that a conventional war with Iran may be suicide. Iran is 3 times larger than Iraq. So I’m trying to figure out how he thinks he could be successful – even if the American people would back him in his war?

    • August 7, 2015 at 10:06 pm

Well nuking Iran would be the stupidest move ever conceived. A nuclear weapon exploding in Iran would carry radioactive debris westward to the Mediterranean if not turn Israel itself into a glass bowl. Worst of all Russia will not sit idly by and let nuclear war happen on its doorstep. Delusional thinking, if that is Bibi’s aim.

      • 65 sabreen60
        August 7, 2015 at 10:29 pm

I think it’s delusional also. But Bibi hasn’t proven to be rational. I just don’t understand why the Democrats who oppose the deal can’t see what is clear as day.

FYI Bloomberg news is framing the Schumer behavior as a “He said He said” That is Bloomberg’s headline about Schumer versus PBO.
    Barf.
    Make no mistake.
Michael Bloomberg is a very disappointed jealous loser. He wanted to be POTUS. And knows he never will.
Like Bibi, the goal here with this crazy campaign against a done deal has another goal and that is to humiliate our President.

All the money in the world hasn’t soothed his feelings. I wonder how Bloomberg feels about all the attention Trump has been getting.
