A Much Needed Wednesday LOL

‘Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz said for the first time Wednesday that the Obama administration has experimental proof to allay one fear about its nuclear deal with Iran — that it might allow the Iranians ample time to hide certain violations from international inspectors. Critics of the deal have latched onto a provision that requires inspectors to give 24 days’ notice before examining sites suspected of harboring undisclosed nuclear-related activities. They say that’s long enough for Iran to conceal or dismantle the activity — or as French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius put it this spring, “in 24 days a lot of things can disappear.” But Moniz, President Barack Obama’s salesman-in-chief on the agreement’s technical aspects, says Energy Department specialists conducted experiments to gauge how hard it would be to detect the radioactive residue left behind.

The result, he said, was that three weeks wouldn’t be enough time for Iran to be sure it had covered its tracks — by a large margin.
“It is essentially impossible, certainly with confidence, to believe that you’re going to do this kind of work with nuclear materials and be confident at having it cleaned it up,” Moniz, who helped negotiate the agreement alongside Secretary of State John Kerry, said in an interview with POLITICO before meeting with lawmakers about the pact. He said the experiments involved “very limited quantities” of uranium, and that DOE “unsuccessfully probed the limits of trying to clean it up.” DOE declined Wednesday evening to provide more details about the experiments. “This is the first time that we have disclosed that fact, but there is nothing else we can say on that right now,” the department said…continued’

The French government has proposed a €600m (£420m; $655m) package of urgent aid for farmers, who have blocked roads for days in protest at falling prices.

Most of the money will help farmers deal with a cash crisis by cancelling or deferring tax payments. But some of the money will help restructure debts.

Farmers said they would assess the plan but several routes remain blocked.

They accuse supermarkets and the food industry of keeping prices low, forcing many of them into bankruptcy.

The family is set to bury their loved one and they get a text from the corner who want to do another autopsy on Ms. Bland, I guess the first one they did there was some problem with it. The sister said they will not let them do another one, they are going through with the funeral.

Covering tracks all the way. An expert guest on MSNBC mentioned the claims that Sandra Bland told the jailers she’d tried suicide before should result in polygraph tests for the jail personnel who said that. Each and every step of this whole miserable case needs to be investigated. And then re-investigated by the DOJ.

Way beyond high heaven, NW. This is evil to the extent it makes me shudder at the thought. I have been in prayer and meditation, I cannot bear to watch the video. I have been working with Light around Sandra, and in hopes of helping her Soul through the fear and trauma of her final hours. I believe we as a group are well fitted to do this work on a mental and spiritual level. We cannot bring back her life. It is wrong, wrong, wrong, that anyone should be subjected to such inhumanity. In our own ‘free’ country. _/I\_

All the propaganda coming from the cops regarding Sandra Bland’s murder reminds me of the crap the Baltimore cops tried to push claiming a prisoner in the transport heard Freddie Grey purposely break his own neck. It reeks of spin, lies and cover up. Hopefully the autopsy conducted at the behest of the Bland family will shed some light on her murder. I hope they checked her for sexual assault too, I would not put anything past these devils. I still cannot understand how a failure to signal a lane change can lead to 3 plus days in jail (assuming she even committed that minor offense).

    • July 23, 2015 at 6:38 am

It is not about the infraction…it is the about inhumanity of the police towards blk men and women…it does not matter what the infraction is or isn’t …whenever we are stopped by the police…our lives are at risk…

‘The US government in early 2016 evaluate whether President Barack Obama would visit Cuba before concluding his mandate, they told the Miami Herald on Wednesday, sources attending an event at the White House. The National Security Advisor and Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes, said at the meeting that in January next year Obama’s visit will be evaluated and will depend on progress in diplomatic and “how Cubans behave” relationships, said one of the sources , which asked not to be identified.

The government is preparing a set of new regulations regarding Cuba, in areas such as travel to the island and the financial and banking transactions.Another source said the government is considering changing travel requirements “people to people” who are within the categories of educational travel, to allow individual travelers may go to the island. Currently, this category can only go groups, which increases the cost of travel to Cuba…continued’

Voicemail left to a friend from jail after arrest and seeing judge who somehow jacked her bond to $5000 from the initial 500 that was reported…for failure to signal.

    This is really F***ed UP!!!!

    • 46 FoxfireTX
      July 23, 2015 at 12:27 am

LP. generally for a bond you have to post 10% in cash or assets which is where the $500 comes into play. This is the amount she would need to post with a bailbondsman to get the $5000 bond which of course is outrageous. But keep in mind the officer charged her with assaulting an officer, far more than the traffic stop. There would be NO bond simply for a traffic violation because you wouldn’t locked up. I would guess he also charged her with resisting arrest and who knows what else.

      • July 23, 2015 at 12:36 am

I thought her total bond initially was 500 dollars…I didn’t know she was also charged with assault…thus my confusion. Thank you for clarifying, FireFox.

    USA USA UPDATE
Connecticut teen flies gun-toting drone. How is this legal? (+video)

The Federal Aviation Administration is looking into a video of a drone mounted with a semi-automatic handgun.
By Jessica Mendoza, Staff writer JULY 21, 2015

It flies, it buzzes, and it shoots live rounds.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating footage featuring a gun-mounted drone built by a Connecticut teenager, according to reports. The video, posted on YouTube under the title, “Flying Gun,” shows what inventor Austin Haughwout calls “a homemade multirotor with a semi-automatic handgun mounted on it” firing into the woods.

The footage, which has been viewed nearly 2 million times since it went up July 10, comes as debate around drone regulation heats up following reports of unmanned aerial vehicles delaying firefighter response to a wildfire in Southern California, and of the first FAA-approved drone delivery of medical supplies to a remote region of Virginia.

I watched White People and it is one of the best things I’ve ever seen on race because it was really about immigration. Jose framed all the white people as immigrants and demonstrated how they came here from all over Europe. I thought it was the cleverest thing I’ve ever seen on race. It also demonstrated how racism is passed on from one generation to the next, e.g. conservatism is a euphemism for racism. I hope he gets a series called White People. Totally awesome.

I am far too depressed to laugh about anything tonight. Between the war the cops in this country are waging, to the GOP warmongers who will do anything to block the Iran agreement, to those who will try to block PBO’s closing of Gitmo notwithstanding those being beheaded by Daesh are dressed in mockups of the Gitmo uniforms. And then there is the clown car of the GOP. Even if they hadn’t nearly destroyed this country under Bush, you would think any person with a brain would look at this group and shudder to think of any one of them sitting in the Oval office. It is beyond my comprehension but is heartbreaking all the way around.

Looking forward to PBO’s trip to Kenya and Ethiopia. I spent time in Tanzania and fell in love with the Tanzanian people. Notwithstanding poverty and extremely difficult conditions, they are incredibly optimistic and upbeat. I suspect our beloved president will receive an incredible welcome as the first sitting US president to visit both of these countries, in addition to his personal ties to Kenya.

“To be black and conscious in America is to be in a constant state of rage.”
    James Baldwin

This Sandra Bland murder has touched me in a way like most of the murders of African Americans by the police haven’t. I think of this black woman driving alone cross country for her dream job getting pulled over and arrested for no apparent reason, and then being killed. Some of you can sit and wait for the investigation to conclude all you want to, but I don’t have. I’ve seen this movie before, and it always ends the same way. African Americans are no safer today than we were in the 60’s. Yes, we are richer and more educated and more socially mobile, but at the end of the day that won’t stop some police office from putting us in our place if he or she feels like it. If Denzel Washington can’t get a cab in New York City, then what chance does a Sandra Bland have in driving cross county safely?

Today my wife and I took my son to the doctor for a checkup, he’s growing quite nicely. On the way to the doctor my son entertained himself with his ipad, he goes on youtube and watches Darpa videos. After that we came back home and I went to bed because I had to work the nightshift, I normally work days. One can do a lot of thinking when working at night, I like the solitude, I’m not anti-social I just like being able to let my thoughts run wild without having to entertain whomever I’m with. Sometimes I find people taxing, enjoyable but taxing.
