      Mooooooooorning Roberta!!

And 97,352 trillion thanks to Nerdy for running the ship solo yesterday when I couldn’t be around, a complete and total LEGEND!!!

Did you get your work done, Chips? You said if you didn’t, you’d be dead, so I assume since you’re here, you had a successful day.

        • July 18, 2015 at 8:15 am

Morning Jackie! I’m alive-ish, which is something. Feeling peeved, though – Friday is meant to be a chill-out day, but my boss and family combined to make it chill-less, and if I ever hear an alarm clocking howling at me at six in the morning again I will ban mornings when I rule the world. Traffic, too – that will be a no-no in my kingdom.

Chips, your kingdom is getting is getting so narrow-ish that you may be the only one who can live in it. Nothing wrong with that, of course, as long as you can fit Danny into it and a few of us on visits.

The joy of retirement – no alarm clocks, no meetings – life is good.

GM Ms Chips and TODers – still freezing in my world brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

99, unless you drop out from everything, retirement is going to include lots of meetings and alarm clocks. We have more meetings now than we did when we were working. Projects mount up and so do obligations. So enjoy it while you can. It doesn’t last.

                Hi Jackie

When I stopped working I decided never to have an appointment before 11am (unless it is around the corner for morning coffee) and the “meetings” I go to are places where I want to be – rather than in a room full of suits planning to achieve the impossible. Works for me.

I’ve spent much time over the last years helping much loved extended family – they understand not to make early appointments – bless them. I’m the “afternoon shift” person. 🙂

            • July 18, 2015 at 9:03 am

Gooooooood evening 99ts, email me some of that chilly weather right now!

B’gosh if only I could. Every winter I promise I will never complain about the heat again – seen to forget that when summer arrives.

I am watcing C-Span Journal right now, they have a segment on the Iowa dinner last night (just for Democratics) it is just head shaking. I am sure we really have some crazies on our side also, so misinformed.

Being “misinformed” seems to be the general lot of American voters. The Democrats I meet with regularly have no real idea what’s going on and refuse to take the time to read up on things or even listen, for that matter.

Jackie, this morning is a head shaker on the tubes. Bernie is getting a lot of aging white voters. Gawd I hate this time in presidential elections.

Well according to BernieKos…errrr….I mean DailyKos, Bernie will get young voters, Republicans and TeaBaggers. Oh and he needs to appeal to White people because Black people are unreliable since Obama will no longer be in office.

          FEEL THE BERN!!!!

Another person died, making it five people who was murder in Chattanooga, TN.

    • July 18, 2015 at 9:17 am

This does not take away the blame for the person doing the shooting, the blame lies with them mostly, but I still blame a society were it is so easy for anyone to get weapons which belong only on the battle field.

  7. July 18, 2015 at 9:18 am

Good morning Ms. Chips, Danny and TOD family, I hope all is well with everyone this lovely Saturday morning. Congrats Roberta, on being first this morning.

    To all, I hope you have a super-fantastic day today ❤ ❤ ❤

Thank God that President Obama is still the President of The United States of America. ⭐🏆 ⭐🏆 ⭐🏆

    Good morning, TOD.
Out most of yesterday and catching up now.
I saw the detailed info on the Clinton Campaign $$$ spent and agree with Bob and meta and others conclusions.
Here is some info the NY Times added today.
HRC attempted to stage a large rally in Iowa this week to demonstrate that she has an enthusiastic following and it failed entirely. The Campaign says 500 people showed up, but this number is disputed.
Meanwhile, The other candidate who will not ever be president is having another one of his giant rallies somewhere tonight. Texas, I think.
To me, all of the events happening now demonstrate how eager our country is for 8 more years of PBO and VPB. Also expressed as Not Hillary.

In other news a corps of DLC Losers—Joe Lieberman, Evan Bayh, Mary Landrieu and others of their RW ilk have joined AIPAC’s anti-PBO anti-Iran deal, effort to stop the Iran deal.
They will poison the airwaves and newspapers.
    Then they will fail.

PBO and VPB and SOS Kerry will win this battle as they have done and will continue to do.

    GM TODville.

While y’all (except for amk and 99ts of course) were sleeping, LOL, @DrBiden has been busy.

This is @DrBiden’s first trip to South Korea, and it’s off to a great start:

The tweet “Homegrown American ISIS, with the picture of the KKK. They were before ISIS, the things the KKK did was just as bad as ISIS. I can only imagine what it must have been like for black Americans to try to live during the days when the KKK rule.

More on @DrBiden’s reception in South Korea:

Catherine Russell, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, said this at the reception for @DrBiden:

“But despite their differences, all countries have a striking similarity. In no country are women and girls afforded the same opportunities as men and boys.”

      Good morning, Chips and TODers.

It’s so wonderful to see Dr. Biden smiling again. I hope her trip gives her a great measure of satisfaction and peace.

Lots of luck to those AIPAC assholes I mentioned above. Let me now include Bob Menendez who is wrong on Cuba and wrong on Iran. Must be funded by Israeli/USA arms manufacturers, or something like that.

So how does this, square with this?

      http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/07/18/us-iran-nuclear-khamenei-idUSKCN0PS05320150718

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei withheld his verdict on Iran’s nuclear deal on Saturday but in a fiery address vowed enduring opposition to the United States and its Middle East policies, saying Washington sought Iran’s ‘surrender’.

In an speech at a Tehran mosque punctuated by chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel”, Khamenei said he wanted politicians to examine the agreement to ensure national interests were preserved, as Iran would not allow the disruption of its revolutionary principles or defensive abilities.

Just wondering how we can have 2 very different takes at once…Morning everyone:)

I don’t understand why some of us here are sure that VPBiden won’t run in 2016.
The VP said he will decide by the end of the summer.
He and Dr. Biden have been highly visible following a period of mourning.
The press says that both Biden sons encouraged their dad to run. I’d think Beau Biden’s wishes would have to matter a lot.
PBO refused to endorse HRC or anyone else because he said good friends might be joining the race.

I am missing whatever the signs are that point to no Joe.

Personally, Vicki, I think maybe some TODobots are trying to be cautious and not build their hopes too high. You know, if you say too often he’s running it might tempt the god of contrariness? 😉 😉
