seeing that moscow photo reminded me how improving relations with russia was one of president obama’s early successes:

our president and russia’s medvedev quickly signed a historic nuclear reduction agreement and seemed to get along quite well. this is just yet another bit a progress president obama made that “the news” has worked hard to sweep under the rug and make sure the public doesn’t remember or even know about in the first place.

this is why putin decided to re-appoint himself specifically to restart the cold war battles as much as he can. president obama dismantled so many of the “boogeymen” republicans/bush family worked so hard to create and spread fear to control the masses, so putin decided he’ll come back and play that role for the military industrial complex, which he has clearly been doing in recent years. these war monger profiteers are truly evil people. thank god we’ve had someone of president obama’s skills and smarts to fight these murderous republicans and their dictator friends such as putin.

So, Putin, who fancies himself the new Stalin of a recreated Soviet Union, is actually the tool of the military industrial complex.. Makes sense.

As many in media focus on Greece, they seem to be more silent on the developments happening in the Chinese economy.

I know it is very hard for our media to focus on more than one story at a time but the few reports from China should cause some pause.

the potential impact, of shocks in such a huge economy, on the global economy are consequential to us all

My gawd, even when discussing a misbehaving flippin’ tennis player, the racism comes out:

Dawn Fraser sorry for ‘racist’ outburst on Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic

Australian swimming legend Dawn Fraser has apologised after she launched an extraordinary attack on tennis star Nick Kyrgios in the wake of his heated Wimbledon round-of-16 defeat to Richard Gasquet.

Fraser lambasted Kyrgios and compatriot Bernard Tomic on Tuesday morning on Australian television for their “childish” behaviour during this week’s Championships.

But the former Olympic gold medallist went a step further by suggesting both players should “go back to where their parents came from” if they were going to maintain such an attitude.

I grew up at a time when outside of the UK, the main immigrants to Australia came from Italy & Greece. They were subject to much racism at the time & this is where Dawn Fraser is coming from. One of my school friends – from Italy was always called “Spags” – I was so dumb I thought it was his name (sigh) until my father called me on it and told me to use his given name, which I heard for the first time from my Dad. Now there was a change with the older generation calling out the younger.

      • July 7, 2015 at 8:35 am

Evening 99ts! It reminds me of my late Dad, he would use words that would make you cringe, but he never intended malice, and there was none in his heart, it was just that generation being unthinking about offensive words. If Fraser had just used a horrible word that would have been bad enough, but the ‘go back to…..’ – ugh. But she’s got some wake-up call with the reaction, maybe she might actually learn something.

Good Morning Chips and TOD back to work for me….

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July Holiday weekend.

I am trying to catch up on all the news from this weekend and the Bernie Sanders comment about the “real unemployment rate” struck a chord with me.

    • July 7, 2015 at 8:20 am

Morning Donna. I only saw about this morning, absolutely amazing. He has already been playing to the white working class crowd with his comments, dismissing racism, etc, and now this. It’s just so revealing that he’s actually running against PBO, rather than Hillary or, beyond that, a potential nutjob GOP President. And his leftbagger supporters are loving it. What a hideous man.

    • 77 jackiegrumbacher
      July 7, 2015 at 9:02 am

My hope, Donna, is that the more he talks, the deeper he buries himself. He’s enamored of his own importance right now and hasn’t the sense to use good judgment. That means he’ll get more and more outrageous and start alienating larger and larger groups of people. I personally find him intolerable and would not walk across the street to listen to him even if there were a cash reward for doing so. I hope and pray that Joe Biden joins the race, but, in the meantime, Sanders has actually made me feel more kindly toward Hillary.

Good morning Chips and TOD! So Bernie is calling PBO a liar and thinks that is going to get him Dem votes. Now we know why he has served in Congress for 20+ years with little notice. Apparently he has come down with EW syndrome, loves the sound of his own voice and being outrageous. The end result will be to make HRC more attractive to Dems who have been lukewarm on her.

Frustrating that the Iran talks have not reached a conclusion. Sounds like once again the Congressional imposed deadline has benefited the Iranians who think it gives them a pressure point rather than the US. PBO and SOS Kerry must be soooo tired of this shit. Thank god they keep their eyes on the long ball. Going to be a long week.

    • July 7, 2015 at 8:58 am

      Morning FoxFire!

“The end result will be to make HRC more attractive to Dems who have been lukewarm on her.”

That’s exactly the effect he’s having on me!

      • July 7, 2015 at 9:29 am

Sanders is an Independent..(No party affiliation)…he is not in the primary with Hillary Clinton….most states have closed primaries meaning that you have to be registered in the party to vote for the candidate of that party…What party is Sanders in?….my worry about Sanders is that he will run in the General Election thereby splitting the DEM vote pulling a Ross Perot or as someone mentioned…a Ralph Nader…

a GOPer could win in these circumstances

        what is his game….

        • 106 Obama Grandmama
          July 7, 2015 at 10:46 am

BS is an Independent, but he is running as a Dem and he caucuses with the Dems. The Dem fundraisers have included him in their beg-a-thon lit and ads. Actually, I am worried if he pulls away and runs as an Independent it could split the Dem votes giving the election to the GOP. Originally his ads had a D behind his name, but more recently they show an I again.

New date July 10 as #IranTalks extended. Triggers 60 day rather than 30 day review. Chance of deal just fell fr 95% to 70% in my book— Steve Clemons (@SCClemons) July 7, 2015

      July 7, 2015 at 9:21 am

This is not a treaty and Congress cannot stop it.

I am not sure what Clemons is saying here. ????????

      • 112 arapaho415
        July 7, 2015 at 9:41 am

My knowledge of government procedure is sketchy at best and this Congress jumps through hoops (aka procedural snafus) to oppose our President.

Think Clemons is referring to this:

“The Senate bill would require a competed deal to be submitted to Congress, which could then vote to approve or disapprove the nuclear deal within 30 days. Sanctions on Iran could not be lifted during this consideration.

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), after the vote, suggested that passage of the bill allows Congress to take ‘power back’ from President Obama. He also said it ensures the Congress will play ‘an appropriate role’ in the nuclear talks.”

        snip /

“A vote to disapprove a nuclear deal with Iran would not kill it. President Obama could veto such a measure, and the House and Senate would then need two-thirds majorities to override his veto.”

Regardless of what happens with #IranDeal, MSM will spin “defeat” or “defeated” into every headline until the veto (if a deal is reached).

How I LOATHE the treasonous MSM and obstructionist Congress.

A Study Documents the Paucity of Black Elected Prosecutors: Zero in Most States

    JULY 7, 2015

WASHINGTON — Sixty-six percent of states that elect prosecutors have no blacks in those offices, a new study has found, highlighting the lack of diversity in the ranks of those entrusted to bring criminal charges and negotiate prison sentences.

About 95 percent of the 2,437 elected state and local prosecutors across the country in 2014 were white, and 79 percent were white men, according to the study, which was to be released on Tuesday by the San-Francisco-based Women Donors Network. By comparison, white men make up 31 percent of the population of the United States.

The numbers are being released as debate continues about racial imbalances in the criminal justice system in the wake of police-related deaths in Ferguson, Mo.; Staten Island; and Baltimore.

While the racial makeup of police forces across the country has been carefully documented, the diversity of prosecutors, who many law enforcement experts say exercise more influence over the legal system, has received little scrutiny. Prosecutors decide in most criminal cases whether to bring charges. And, because so many criminal cases end in plea bargains, they have a direct hand in deciding how long defendants spend behind bars.

Pretending this applies to BS only while ignoring HRC’ sabotage of the Dem party for the last 6 years is also not very smart.
Dems need to not settle for the lesser of 2 evils because that always loses.

Ignore the enthusiasm being generated by BS and focus on his many seious flaws? Crazy! We do that and 2016 has already been lost.
