Uh oh! I saw a chart last week that keeps a daily tracker of what the world’s billionaires make/lose each day…China’ richest women lost 900 million that day along with a whole lot of other Chinese moguls taking huge hair cuts… I have no clue what is going on…but this is kind of nuts.

I haven’t been following this except sparingly. I wonder if the Chinese real estate bubble has finally burst.

      • July 7, 2015 at 10:30 pm

Been expecting this for the past several weeks, LL. All signs, by last Friday, was that it was about to get really ugly. Looks like it’s on ….

      • July 7, 2015 at 10:33 pm

I think is is more than real estate…last I saw before trading was halted every stock on the exchange was down except for one..I know India passed China in annual GDP growth this year but I have no clue where this originated

        • July 7, 2015 at 10:46 pm

LP, by last Friday, it was obvious that China’s ‘bubble’ was much, much more than real estate … the issue now will be how will the USA prevent the Chinese ‘contagion’ from wrecking global markets. I have no doubt that Team Obama have been on top of this for a very long time. We’re about to witness an unprecedented global economic situation and should be eternally grateful that President Obama is at the helm.

This is all about Burning man too…

By Juliet Eilperin July 7 at 9:20 PM

When President Obama and Sen. Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) flew to Las Vegas in November to tout the president’s plan to block the deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants, Reid took the opportunity to broach a completely unrelated subject, one that tied together his childhood love of Nevada’s desert with his political legacy. Reid asked Obama if he would be willing to designate a huge swath of desert in central Nevada as a national monument, in part to protect a mammoth, unconventional art installation constructed over the past half a century by one man.

“Explain it to me,” Obama said, Reid recalled. “I can’t,” Reid replied.

He was referring to Michael Heizer’s “City,” http://nyti.ms/1IxrTaS a series of sculptures reminiscent of a ceremonial Mesoamerican city stretching across an expanse of desert nearly the size of the Mall. But the request also included a much larger section of the Basin and Range, an arid landscape marked by caves, ancient bristlecone pines and walls where petroglyphs — rock engravings — testify to the presence of vanished ancient people.

I just sent this to Hillary for America. (I’M SURE they will be very concerned ;>) )

I am a fan and supporter of Secretary Clinton. However if she does not clearly and consistently herald the record and great success of President Obama, I will not donate or do anything to help other than vote for her. I AM SERIOUS. OF COURSE she can and should respectfully disagree on some issues and strategies. But again, if she doesn’t make it clear about her recognition of the most accomplished and worthwhile presidency in my 58 years, I’ll just tune out. (Yes, Bill was a competent president.) THANK YOU.

Medicare- Part G – Nursing Home Plan

Say you are an older senior citizen and can no longer take care of yourself and the government says there is no Nursing Home care available for you. So, what do you do?

You opt for Medicare Part G. The plan gives anyone 75 or older a gun (Part G) and one bullet. You are allowed to shoot one worthless politician. This means you will be sent to prison for the rest of your life where you will receive three meals a day, a roof over your head, central heating and air conditioning, cable TV, a library, and all the Health Care you need. Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses? That’s great. Need a hearing aid, new hip, knees, kidney, lungs, sex change, or heart? They are all covered!

As an added bonus, your kids can come and visit you at least as often as they do now! And, who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just
told you they can’t afford for you to go into a nursing home. And you will get rid of a useless politicians while you are at it. And now, because you are a prisoner, you don’t have to pay any more income taxes!

Is this a great country or what? Now that
you have solved your senior financial plan, enjoy the rest of your

Good evening TOD! The Fifth Circuit will hear oral arguments on Friday on the government’s request to lift the stay imposed by our lovely judge here in TX on PBO’s executive actions on immigration (DAPA portion). I would guess the court will rule within 90 days at the latest. So hope this gets lifted so the country can see that the US will not fall apart because of these actions before the election. It also will give us a pretty good sense of how the court will rule on the underlying lawsuit as one of the major tests the plaintiffs must meet in order to continue the injunction is “liklihood of success on the merits”. In other words, the plaintiff states that brought the suit must demonstrate that they have a very good chance of succeeding on the merits of their lawsuit at trial in order for the court to continue the stay during the remainder of the proceedings. Given the delays in the courts, my guess is that this will essentially decide the action. By the time this gets to trial, gets tried, and then possibly appealed again, PBO will be out of office. So this hearing is critical. Will be keeping my fingers crossed.
