        TY, πŸ˜€

        After I answered your business comment earlier today, I remembered that I passed the Washago exit on Sunday on our way up to Muskoka.

        • July 6, 2015 at 9:58 pm

          Washago is a little further north. Wasaga is north west of Barrie. drop in next time Muskoka calls.

            A-ha, so maybe it was only the sign I passed. Are you at an easy access from Hwy 11? Also, too I very rarely go north any more (except to take a visitor sight-seeing).

            • July 6, 2015 at 10:05 pm

              Don’t blame you. Those bears are loose and hungry. It’s easier off 27 at Elmvale. 11/400 is too far East.

                Okay, you’re a ‘west-ender’ and I’m an east-ender. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

                • July 6, 2015 at 10:25 pm

                  Yes I am. Once I saw the Don river flood in the 60’s I wasn’t going there.

                    Now you tell me! πŸ˜€ And I cannot swim! It’s funny how people gravitate to certain areas, then stick. I did briefly live in west (Brampton is as far west as I went), but found my way back to east Toronto after a while, and then north-ish.

                    • July 6, 2015 at 10:40 pm

                      Although I live in Alliston I have spent most of my life In downtown TO. Big city girl. But grands live in east end adjacent to the infamous Don. Have to learn to love that river which is now the ‘park’way.

                      This is funny! We may have crossed paths all unknowingly. πŸ˜€ An old friend of mine would never drive on the Don Valley Park(ing Lot), though I don’t mind is. In fact I use it whenever I *have* to get downtown.
                      I have one former colleague-friend in Cookstown – so I’ve driven through the heart of Alliston a couple of times, am more familiar with the general Don area than with anywhere else in the east though. As a general rule I steer clear of downtown TO though – like Japa said recently it’s awfully busy.

                    • July 6, 2015 at 10:56 pm

                      Love my downtown. We moved for the air and I lived in a 100 year old house for 50 years. Way too long. I use the parkway all the time going south but not North. I worked at TEGH for 10 years. Grrrrr! Yes we have crossed or maybe overlapped. If we can do it digitally why not reality. Let me know if you are coming this way. Love to meet you before PBO leaves office.

                      Indeed! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I am a house rat, Alma-b, but should I be heading out in your direction, I’ll touch base electronically to see what we see.

      Congrats on #1, vc.

      Responded to your Interior Week on an earlier thread (no doubt after everyone had moved on ;).

      TeamRubicon.org sounds like an interesting concept — kind of like this century’s Peace Corps — vets helping the USA disaster relief operations.

        Hi Arapaho. Confession >> I’m out of the loop on TeamRubicon.org. When I’m late/rushed I don’t always watch all of the @Interior vid.

          Understandable — I am hopelessly behind (in everything 😦 ) and rarely watch videos because I find it impossible to multitask (no smart phone or tablet — streaming works OK for me because I can move the PC to wherever I need to be).

          Recommend you watch the video, which mentions TeamRubicon in Alaska, battling their horrendous wildfires. Here’s a photo I posted of AK and their remarkable scenery (and a military vet).

      It is actually 27 million if you include Telemundo…it beat out Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Game 7 of the World Series, and tied both CFB playoff semifinals.

          Oh, thanks, LP – he had a good day today, thanks. Still progressing, resting, eating, with a great positive attitude (especially after a phone call this morning from his oldest 4-y/o grandson!).

            Is he in the ICU or the rehab portion of the hospital? How long do they plan on keeping him before he can become an outpatient….I imagine one worry would be pneumonia and other infections that may initially be hard to fight off.

              Well, the good news is that he came home last Thursday afternoon! And returns next week for his first follow-up. The first time he went in for a biopsy months ago, he did actually catch pneumonia from/during the test – most gruesome part of this until last Monday, from his POV. He’s safely home and progressing surrounded by a couple of his kids!

              • July 7, 2015 at 1:30 pm

                My comment got released from the kracken! …on a serious note I’m glad to hear he is home surrounded by family and loved ones. My aunt is going through a hospitalization and has probably developed dementia along with kidney failures causing here to have to do dialysis 3x a week. She has was found passed out in her home initially they think to her diabetes sugar getting to low and things have gone downhill from there. The worst part of of all is my cousin died in a car accident while she was hospitalized and they waited 2 months to tell her, but half the time she doesn’t even remember and keeps asking why he doesn’t visit her. Lets keep our fingers crossed for your son’s 1rst checkup! Thanks for the update….

                  So very sorry to hear about your aunt – and your cousin. I’ll be keeping all of you in my thoughts! Thanks for asking about my son – just spoke with him and he said he had a real good day. Yeehaw! ❀

    Jimbo Fisher is a win no matter what it takes coach & FSU is joke

    Even after James Winston, this kid wasn’t kicked off the team until the video was leaked today.

    • July 6, 2015 at 10:27 pm

      As long as you can play football teams like Florida State will use you.

      • July 6, 2015 at 10:33 pm

        The prosecutor, Willie Meggs, is the same SOB who didn’t even interview James Winston (#1 pick in the NFL draft) after a student was gang-raped by him and two others for a year after the incident. Meggs, only released info on the girl who got punched, but nothing on the FSU Freshman QB when the incident occurred over a month ago (that info was blacked out in the police report) The Tallahassee P.D. and the Football program are one big joke.

      Bernie’s become Narcissus to me. He’s starting to adore the sound of his own voice, not just love it like before. To me, he sounds hollow. I’m not saying I’m against a lot of what he’s in favor of, but it’s all been said before. What confidence could anyone have that he will pull us out of the murky water? He’s too busy looking at his own reflection in it. Gag.

      If there were wind outside, I’d be outside calling into the wind, “Run, Joe, Run!”

        This , Jacqueline. I happened to hear his statement on unemployment numbers regarding young Blacks, Hispanics and Whites. It is a good sound bite for him, but I would like to know his solution. He is a member of congress and I cannot point to anything that he has done. Is he on any committees?

        • 92 jacquelineoboomer
          July 7, 2015 at 10:44 am

          Not sure he has time for committees – too busy being “out there” during his time in the Senate. I’m just not impressed by his record or sound bites.

    I need to maintain some sanity in this bizarre campaign season;

    so===>

    Note to self : hard as it is for me, I am going to ignore all garbage from Presidential-wannabes until I learn what VP has decided to do with his life;

    In the meantime: I am going back to my “regular political programming” which focuses on what PBO is trying to achieve and any efforts I can contribute to his goal to move the nation/world forward.
