Thanks Chips……Good Morning from MN to you, Danny, TODville, Lurkers and of course, our Fantastic bts and Twitter Brigades 😉

This categorically proves that the News Media is Part of the problem We The People have in the dysfunction of our Political Discussions. In a Democracy, there has to be a factually based News Media dedicated to Truth, Accuracy, delivering Contents with Contexts in order to render Judgement………with firm Pronouncements…………….if Not, Democracy dies.

“It’s great to see Trump get rebuked. Pardon me, though, if I don’t give Republican leaders, or corporate America, a whole lot of credit for their belated bout of conscience. History will look on Trump’s campaign to get the first black president to show him his papers as abject racism, and the people who tolerated it won’t come off well either.”

      100% agree with this.

No way that racist fuckstick is ‘shocked’. It’s all campaign bs.

and yeah, fuck the media, who gave and continue to give, the corrupt punks like him the platform to spew their hateful bile from.

I seldom read Salon. However, I said the same thing about the media and Trump. At no time can I recall the media ostracizing Trump for his racism toward President Obama. In fact, the media says very little about any racism directed at black people. Someone on another blog said that Trump is getting backlash because the Latino community is organized. I call bull on that.

The Media is reacting differently for one reason………ONLY……..the GOPers have ZERO prayer in winning the Presidency without getting 40% of the Hispanic votes…….
Their Revenue for Political Ads is at the Epic of this Reality.
The final point in my view…….The News Media is as it always was……..to be Racist, Bigoted, Violent against Black people here in USA…….have always gotten a Nod from The News Apparatus and The Movie Industrial Complex…….The dehumanization of African Americans and Native Americans on any Medium Platform is unquestionable……Hence, the indifference in coverage…..the denying of basic facts and the Ignoring of historical facts.

I would bet that racism cost our President more% points. People lie to pollsters all the time.Just my 2 cents. I wish an economist would study the financial cost of racism to this county…..just the tip of the iceberg would be how much police departments in the US, state by state, pay out in settlements on excessive force cases. I think that the total would shock many people.

MP remember when POTUS spoke at Beau’s funeral, he said that they ( Michelle, Malia, Sasha and POTUS) were members of the Biden family.

Showing that he sometimes is made aware that he has gone too far, 2016 GOP presidential contender Donald Trump deleted an offensive tweet aimed at rival Jeb Bush’s wife who was born in Mexico.

On July 4th, Trump retweeted a Twitter comment reading: “@RobHeilbron: @realDonaldTRump #JebBush has to like Mexican illegals because of his wife.”

The tweet stayed up for 24 hours before Trump deleted it.

People will be upset with what Trump said about Bush and his wife, but they didn’t give a dam about what Trump said about POTUS birth certificate.

  35. July 6, 2015 at 12:46 pm

That “to do list” wound up looking like this:

    * Executive action on immigration
    * Grassroots efforts to raise the minimum wage and enact paid sick/family leave
    * New rules on overtime pay
    * New EPA rules on new and existing power plants to combat climate change
    * Agreements with China, India and Brazil on goals to address climate change, leading up to a global agreement at the UN Conference in December 2015
    * Opening diplomatic ties with Cuba
    * Working towards an agreement with Iran on it’s nuclear weapons program

    *********************

    good read….

as smartypants says…Hillary Clinton is moving to embrace the “to do” list…

don’t know what Sanders is embracing…

this becomes a good barometer to judge the candidates..where do they stand on the PBOs to do list…

    • July 6, 2015 at 2:42 pm

I agree. Sanders people keep reacting to every word he says as if it was his original thought. Most of it is stuff I’ve heard before, or stuff PBO has been saying all along. And they act like just because Sanders says it, it will magically happen.
