Hi LL, just had to concur about Exene Cervenka. X was one of my favorite bands when I was a teenager. Finding out about her being such a psycho gun-loving, conspiracy theorist just broke my heart. I saw them several years ago in Agoura. They cut out the “Jesus Christ” part of Nausea so as not to offend born-again Billy Zoom, but left in every word of “Los Angeles”. Makes me think those lyrics were actually her own thoughts, when all these years I thought they were a social commentary on a fictional racist character. Ruined all of it for me, unfortunately (well, maybe I’ll still listen to “Johnny Hit and Run Pauline” once in a while 🙂 )
