A wonderful heart-lifting smile-creating post, Nerdy Wonka. Such a gift and a joy to read and see. What SUEDUVALL SMITH said — the woman with the simple Thank You sign in magic marker on a small paper? There is a powerful story behind that and we don’t even need the details because we know this man, this President, this dedicated faithful tenacious leader. We know that he pushed forward to make changes and do good things which made a difference in this silent woman’s life. Profound photograph. And those smiles? And jogging out there. Makes me so happy. Thank you for TOD Chips, thank you for tireless story telling and curation and GENIUS tweeting, NerdyWonka. I think you are triplets or maybe quintuplets. I bless every one of you.

I have never seen a more engaged, positive, uplifting, REAL AMERICAN PRESIDENT in my lifetime! Honestly, he trumpets his belief in Americans and America, more than anyone. EVER. Nice to be believed in:) Nice to be told the sky’s the limit on our possibilities… rather than “we can’t” from Republicans.

Hellooooooooo Chipstics & TOD family. VC finally gave me a few minutes to sit today. She has taken me all over the northeastern portion of Toronto today and I’m pooped!

It looks like POTUS is going to spend the next year reminding people of all the great work he’s done, of the extraordinary team of leaders he’s assembled and of all the people he has really helped. He has such a phenomenal record of achievement, beginning with Day One, we will look back at these years and scratch our heads over our current politics.

Now THAT made me laugh, GGail. I had a long-time friend visit me for a week a while back. One of those earl-riser types, unlike moi. I took time off from work to visit, expecting to sleep in.

One morning at 6:30 am, she was in the shower singing O Sole Mio, top of her lungs.

Watching Chris Matthew’s Hardball. I know, I know I should not be giving him the time of day. What can I say? I was bored with housework getting ready for my weekend guests. Anyhow, it had been so long since I watched him that I was shocked to hear CM argue with his two guests: Vox and Washington Post people defending Prez Obama as a transformative president. You could tell the woman from WP was a Hillary supporter against the idea and the Vox guy was really adamant against the idea.

Yes, we can; yes, we did and yes, we will continue to do so. PBO has led the way, but as ever he reminds us of our own power to affect change. We are indeed the ones that we have been waiting for and when we are engaged, not even the skies are the limits.

Looks as though the President had a very nice day. So glad.

My day? Thanks for asking. 🙂 My son was discharged from the hospital!!!!! He’s doing great, according to the surgeon, and has a full recovery regimen and appointments all set up for future weeks. So, tonight? ICE CREAM PARTY!

Thanks again to everyone for their well wishes, good thoughts, and prayers, from near and far, and to CanadaBarb for being my ghostwriter here and loving friend. My whole family appreciates it. You are all kinda like the cherry on top.

Bob. Alexis Tsipras is telling the truth. Especially about the media ignoring him and the hit job the Troika are performing on Greece.

They drove up the debt, distributed money to their own advantage, and are looking to enslave Greece for the knowable future. Very similar to bankers in 2008 disaster,

I admire Alexis Tsipras but I doubt he will prevail. The united forces of the Corporatocracy have massed against the people of Greece. It is unlikely that the message of sanity will get through.
If you doubt me, consider Wisconsin who elected Scott Walker 3 times.
      Or Kansas.

TV Land is taking some flack for no longer airing the “Dukes of Hazzard” due to the prominence given the confederate flag in the show, most notably on the roof of the “general lee”, their car. Imagine how sick it would be to have a show where the lead characters drive a car with a Swastika emblazoned on its roof. That would be undeniably offensive. Why then is the confederate flag treated differently? They both symbolize racist ideologies. They were both used by forces who lost wars based on racist ideologies. Nazi’s died fighting for their racist ideology, just as the confederate soldier died fighting for his. Dying for an ideology does not automatically make that death virtuous. Hate groups use both flags to terrorize their primary targets, and when ever racists gather in this country, you will find a confederate flag. They know what this flag symbolizes. And they know that flag causes Black folks pain. They just don’t care. What makes the confederate apologists so amusing is they are the first ones to speak of “patriotism” while worshipping at the alter of a flag flown by traitors to this very nation. As I have said before, “patriotism” and loyalty to “country” really seem to mean adherence to the doctrine of white supremacy.

Well I will bid you all a good night. My day started off kind of crazy with the scare at the Navy Yard but that turned out okay and I got to stay home and play with you all today.

Let the 4th of July Holiday weekend begin.

I’m gonna pop some fresh popcorn and pour me some diet green tea and watch a good movie.

    Good Night Everyone :-c

Oh and don’t forget to follow Tally’s employee on twitter. Her earlier note to us:

Hey TOD Tweeters! Speaking of JOBS – I need a giant favor….. if you can find it in your heart to follow my day gig account, where I make all the Covered CA magic happen, that would help me score points with my boss. Thanks so much!!!
