Gooooooooood evening 99ts! I nearly didn’t get to post at all this morning, I was busy making a commercial for L’Oreal, but I got them to speed up, I told them it was important I still mixed with the little people just so I’d remember where I came from 😎

Morning everyone. So glad our President is going to that creepy Scott Walker’s state to show the people there what a real leader is. I like to think he’s also paving the way for Joe Biden. I’m off soon to have a hearing test. The one thing you can be sure of in your more ‘mature’ years is that your hearing doesn’t get better. On the other hand, it’s a good excuse for not hearing annoying people. Have a great day.

1st world Problem. Dishwasher stopped. Error E3 drainage

Rang support “So error E3 drainage” Me “Yes, but it does drain, it just won’t stop draining”
support “But it says E3- so must be drainage” Me “OK”

Repair man calls “You have a drainage problem” Me “Well it says drainage but it drains, just won’t stop draining”
Repair Man ” Error E3 – drainage. Be there next Wednesday with new pump” Me “what time”
    Repairman “Wednesday – between 8am and 5pm”

Repairman arrives – about 2pm. Spends 1 hour replacing pump & checking drainage.
Repairman “Error not drainage, error seems to be it won’t stop draining” Me (silently) “X#$%@!!X*&”

Coming back next week – sigh

He doesn’t want to be told amk. We are getting a new “computer control” whatever that is. Seems to me there is a simple indicator that the machine is empty of water & it is not working – but apparently a “computer” now controls such options. I am most thankful they said they would fix it under warranty – I am, however, wondering for how long my hands will be dipped in suds.

GM 57 – hope your day is going well.

I’m sure these things happen because of – female. Women don’t understand these things. Mr 99 and repairman were nodding heads and chatting about the problem – sigh. Only dishwasher problem I have had before this one were leaking seals and an imploding tap (flooded the kitchen). Won’t buy this brand again – although they are probably all produced in the same factory – they all look alike!

Oh, your poor son. Thank goodness you hadn’t left yet.

I don’t know how much longer sane people are supposed to put up with this madness. Now we’re being told that we’re ramping up for some kind of probability of a July 4th ISIS event. I just can’t.

        • July 2, 2015 at 8:32 am

Your son is so right. This gun fetishism has gone way too far. My thoughts are with the people at the navy yard.

Mr. 57 was watching c-span this morning, with all the callers who have fallen for the NRA’s insanity.

“I’m an 87 year old woman and I must carry my gun in case my car breaks down.”

Everything is now a lethal threat. I can see some young guy in a pickup truck (God forbid if he’s POC), stopping to offer his help and getting blown away by this loon. The country is now full of laws where you are not responsible for a gun injury/death if you “perceive” that you are threatened. So now everything is a lethal threat.

My goddaughter is a surgeon. There are now drills on how to handle a gun situation in the hospital.

Just had a conference call with my staff and they say it is utter mayhem down there. We work right across the street from the Dept of Transportation and hundreds of people are standing outside of our building because they won’t let anyone in any government buildings until they get this mess under control. Helicopters flying overhead; their building on lock down; word that it is a active shooting; not knowing if it was one or multiple shooters; I could hear the terror in their voices.

I assured them that as long as they stayed inside that they were safe and gave them all assignments to try and take their minds off of this terror right up the street from them…..A helluva way to start their holiday weekend!!!

Everytime the economic report comes out, I continue to ask the question:

What would it look like if one political party had not decided to commit ECONOMIC TREASON against this country beginning January 20, 2009?

    • July 2, 2015 at 9:09 am

Worthy reflection. But, in spite of the GOP destructive, reckless and obstructionist behavior, President Obama was still able guide this ship through massive waves and storms into calmer waters. Thank God that President Obama is still the President of The United States of America. βπŸ† βπŸ† βπŸ†

    • 81 57andfemale
      July 2, 2015 at 9:57 am

Answer: we would have had the most roaring economic recovery in U.S. history. Money is virtually “free” now – anything “borrowed” to stimulate the economy would have gone right back into the economy. The only impediment to what could have been an historic reset of American economic success were the treasonous acts by the GOP.

History will be clear on this: what this POTUS was able to accomplish against unprecedented obstruction will be viewed as one of the greatest accomplishments of any American President.

Since the beginning of these United States, the U.S. government has invested in its economy in bad economic times. Always. We have always built bridges, canals, roads, infrastructure, helped businesses get back on their feet, employ people. From effing Day One. All political parties got it and did something about it.

      Until 2009.

Effing traitors. Every last one of them. Instead, we now have a government of Palins and Koch Bros. And yet we still can’t get our side to vote in enough numbers to really change things.

Like in my world the RW STILL campaigns on these lies of small government and fiscal responsibility. The media seems to refuse to call them on it. Our economy is going backwards since Abbott & his party came into power – but he keeps screaming ISIS and security and illegal immigrants – scare mongering all the time.

We know how to be agile in a world where consumers expect instant attention and news cycles wash away in a matter of hours. We also know how to help clients step back from the daily grind and tell a story that distinguishes their organization from the competition.

From speechwriting to crisis management to integrated communications and digital strategies, we are offering clients all of the services they need to break through today’s cluttered media environment and reach their audience in a way that sticks.
