Congrats Vicki, on furst! (amk must still be asleep, LOL).

This *IS* a BFD! I’m so excited, probably the first time I’ve regretted not having a TV, and it’s been a year now.

Perhaps Ladyhawke will post a link tomorrow morning… really dislike MSNBC’s website for prime time shows (confuses me).

FYI, just got home and saw your comment re: Cuomo vs. deBlasio war over charter schools.

I wish everyone in America would see that tweet — Delaware is leading the way for the US in progressive politics — unfortunately under-the-radar since they’re such a small state — MSM, DC, Philadelphians treat Delaware as if it’s a joke (or an Amtrak stop between DC-Philly).

      New Castle County Executive Tom…

Really miss Beau Biden — he would have been elected Governor next year, and *then* the clueless MSM would have sat up and taken notice. 😦

Thanks Nerdy. I can always count on you and Chips to bring me up to date on our President’s activities for the day.

Ole Hilary might start getting a little bit nervous. Bernie just got over 10000 in Wisconsin tonight. There will be no coronation for her this election cycle that’s for sure!

Bernie Sanders campaign has shades of Howard Deans campaign in 2004. Only time will tell if Bernie can get those people who are turning up for his events to actually start organizing, volunteering and becoming precinct captains.

    • 32 jackiegrumbacher
      July 1, 2015 at 10:01 pm

Donna, I don’t think the Bernie Sanders phenomena can go the distance. He talks a good game, but has never demonstrated an ability to get things done. He would also be a terrible president, unwilling and unable to actual listen and identify with diverse viewpoints or ever get anything through Congress. It’s good he’s highlighting income disparity issues right now, but I just can’t take him seriously as a presidential contender.

      • 33 taiping1
        July 1, 2015 at 10:40 pm

He lacks the pragmatism of President Barack Obama and is a passing phenomenon. He voted against the Brady Bill (he’s for guns); not great on issues for minorities. Too much of a blowhard.

Judging from my twitter TL, I think the Bernie Sanders supporters are worse than the Hillary supporters this time around 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • July 1, 2015 at 8:45 pm

Some of them really are vile Donna, eg:

Why is he attracting these people? I’m guessing it’s because he largely dismisses racism as an issue, he thinks everything is about class, so that message appeals to these types. Revolting.

      • 38 donna dem 4 obama
        July 1, 2015 at 8:57 pm

They are unbelievable. I’ve noticed that since Bernie started drawing big crowds they are getting more and more aggressive on twitter and Facebook. smh/

I don’t have a dog in this race just yet so the only thing I am enjoying about all of this is that it’s giving Hillary’s people pause. She needs to be challenged and she is getting it from Bernie but his people are about as bad as Ron Paul’s online followers in 2012.

Susana Martinez, the Republican governor of New Mexico, reacted tonight to Donald Trump‘s comments about Mexican immigrant rapists and criminals.

Martinez was informed by a reporter tonight of what Trump said, and her immediate reaction was, “Oh my God in heaven.”

The governor then said, “I absolutely disagree with him, I think those are horrible things to say about anyone or any culture, anyone of any ethnicity. I mean, that is uncalled for, completely.”

Meta, I always knew him to be a self-righteous narcissist but I thought that he at least had people around him that had some sense. As you said he is suppose to be this great businessman. Look at what his spokesman said at the end of that article, “I know first hand, Donald loves Mexicans,” Lieberman said. “We have them at all our properties all over the place.” They cannot possibly be this stupid can they???

        • July 1, 2015 at 9:47 pm

I can’t even begin to express how offensive this is. It’s like, “yeah, some of my best friends are minorities. Oh, and they’re all rapists, too.” And since he’s spent the last several years doubting PBO’s citizenship and asking for a birth certificate, why aren’t MSM idiots asking him for documentation for his claims? You know, like where does this sh&* come from, Donald?

to complete the story of tweet containing the note from VP to the Mr Skip Brooks as a young man:

did you see the follow-up tweet where Mr. Skip Brooks tells VP Joe that based on this advise, he went on to become a lawyer who was then sworn in by Beau as a prosecutor – check VP’s timeline (read it there when VP account re-tweeted it)

The Justice Department is investigating whether US airlines have colluded to keep prices high.

In a statement, the department confirmed an Associated Press report it was looking into “possible unlawful coordination by some airlines”.

AP reported that it had seen a document revealing that the Justice Department had requested information from airlines as part of a competition probe.

It follows years of restructuring and mergers by US airlines.
