        Thank you, Ms. Dudette!
        How are you?
        I will be visiting “your neck of the woods”in August. Hot as you know what!
        Every year I ask, “Why do I keep doing this to myself”?
        I get suckered into this by my charming sister. All she has to do is mention “sweet tea and cornbread”
        One of these summers it’s not going to work…..I will be a cruise to Alaska. I will bring my own damn tea and cornbread.
        Love you

    a LOT going on in SF today. I went to Grace Cathedral to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the UN. Really interesting program and a good way to understand the current direction of peace.

    As I walked out of this event, there was a HUGE Indian wedding party leaving the Fairmont Hotel. They brought their own music, stopped traffic by crowding into the street in their elaborate costumes and dancing at the top of Nob Hill for over an hour, the groom at the center wearing a golden turban. What a gorgeous ceremony!

    The WWC semis are set U.S.A vs. Germany Tuesday & England vs. Japan Wednesday:

    This is high level stuff for MLS:

    If you get a chance watch the highlights of the COPA America semis between Argentina & Colombia yesterday…insane!

    On Greece:

    I heard a report on BBC about how a significant amount of the bailout money, that is paid to the Greek government (at least the previous government), is also syphoned off immediately by Vulture Funds;

    Most of the Vulture Funds are based n the US and were also responsible for similar chaos in Argentina ).

    it sounded these vulture funds have the blessings of the TRIOKA to be paid of the full amount without an kind of hair-cut.

    these Vulture Funds have bought a huge chunk of Greek Bonds and they have written into the contracts that they must be paid back fully plus interest – so when you hear about paying the creditors, this is what it is partly about;

    So bottom line is that the ordinary people of Greece are being squeezed by austerity and a large chunk of the money flows not to them but to the pockets of these Vulture Funds;

    how will the ordinary people survive all these schemers and unrealistic expectations from the EU?

    I would be interested in hearing if someone here knows more about the role of these Vulture Funds in Greece’s calamity;

    what will happen if Greece turns to Russia or China for the loan – how will many in the EU will react?

    I know I have never been able to afford 1.6 billion dollars, but in the scheme of things, this looks like very little money to use it to bring the financial system of a country to its knees;

    I have no doubt that if Greece were to exit the EU, the effects will reverberate farther than what it looks on paper – always think about the unintended consequences (think Lehman Bros)

        injury # up to 516…. I don’t know how this happened http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/28/world/asia/taiwan-water-park-fire-and-explosion.html

        “HONG KONG — Hundreds of people were injured at a water park in Taiwan on Saturday when a cloud of colored powder exploded in the air over a crowd during a live event, erupting into a huge fireball, the island’s official Central News Agency reported

        No deaths were reported, but at least 516 people were injured, 194 seriously, including eight with life-threatening injuries, the agency reported. The injured, many suffering burns, were overwhelmingly young, in their teens or 20s or younger, according to a roster posted on the news agency’s website…continued”

    Perfect.

    http://www.politicususa.com/2015/06/27/naturalized-american-citizen-donald-trump-knows-nothing.html

    Mr Trump:

    I wish you could read this letter.

    You say Mexico only sends criminals, rapists, and drug dealers. You are either misinformed or misled by your handlers with regard to Mexican immigrants.

    Did you know that in all U.S. wars Mexican immigrants or their children or grandchildren have been among the first to go into combat to defend the stars and stripes?

    Did you know that Mexican Americans have received more Medal of Honors than any other ethnic group? I could give you their names but you don’t really understand courage, sacrifice and love of family and country. I am an immigrant who came from Mexico to WORK not to steal or assault women but to give my family a home and food on the table. The price I paid to achieve this? My son Jesús A. Suarez Del Solar who died in Iraq defending our freedom, even your freedom to make racist remarks. As a U.S. Marine with a green card [legal permanent resident], my son died in the illegal invasion of Iraq, an attack against an innocent population unleased by former President Bush.

    Mr. Trump, the food you and your family eat every day is planted, harvested, and packed by migrant labor mostly from Mexico. These same people prepare your food in restaurants, clean your offices and homes.

    The most recent massacres that have taken place in schools, churches, and movie theaters have not been perpetrated by people of Mexican descent.

    You know nothing about those of us who come to work and pay taxes in a nation built by immigrants. All you know is your so-called beauty pageants that are an insult to Latina and all women. You know nothing.

    Sincerely,

    A naturalized American citizen proud of his Aztec roots.

    HEY TODers!! I just spoke with sjterrid on the phone and we had a delightful convo. She passes along her hellos and good wishes to everyone here! She’s been running around SF like a pro – wharf, Haight-Ashbury, Embarcadero. Tomorrow she’s going to the Gay Pride parade and then a Giants baseball game at AT&T Park!! We’re going to meet up on Monday for lunch at the Ferry Building on the water. YAY!!

          Ha! I never work against you, LP! I’m on your side every day. And VC loves you, too, I’m sure!

          P.S. Have you eaten? Slept? 🙂

          • June 28, 2015 at 1:49 am

            Yes all fueled up…went through the Fazoli’s drive-thru and got some grub…proceded to make some ready made Pillsbury Reeces pieces cookies and am now about to finish watching my fellow Indian’s (he directed the 6th sense and bunch of American Express commercials) show on FOX that I have on DVR ‘Wayward Pines’

            p.s. It will take time for you to disprove the existence of your cabal after tonights performance….you almost had me 😎

              All I saw in all that (even if it wasn’t spelled correctly, for which I forgive you) was “Reese’s Pieces.” Ah, but, having none in the house, then: Tomorrow is another day! Goodnight, LP. Thx for the laughs.

              • June 28, 2015 at 2:01 am

                Had to get one last dig in huh? I see how it is….I’m going to start spelling like AMK from now on…maybe that will be palatable 😀 BTW, I’m the most grammatically challenged person on TOD and I’m dyslexic….so it is all good…I will have my revenge…one day? GN,JB.

                  I do not find you grammatically challenged at all, but I am a goner when somebody mentions chocolate candy, so consider us evenly challenged! GN, LP. 🙂

    I highly recommend the new Netflix series called Grace & Frankie starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Martin Sheen, and Sam Waterston. It is great. After 40 years of marriage the husbands want a divorce so they can get married. Very relevant.

    • June 28, 2015 at 1:55 am

      I have it on ‘my list’ but have like 20 shows I’ve got to catch up to. I did watch Sense 8 (which was done by the people who did the Matrix movies) If you are into sci-fi, complex shows you will enjoy it….it may take the first 3 episodes to get warmed up to b/c they have 8 full characters that they have to establish context & backgrounds on, but after that things get very interesting 🙂 I also finished Season 3 of OITNB.

        We are also watching Sense 8. It is very interesting. Not one to watch lightly. You really have to follow to catch all the hidden meanings. I do like it tho. Grace & Frankie is so good for those of us over 60. So many things we understand. Haven’t done Season 3 yet. It’s also on our watch list. We really like Netflix shows. Also LP thank you for all the wonderful information you bring to us. I learn so much from you!!!

    Had to return to our TOD community before attempting to sleep … ever since yesterday, and, actually, long before that …. I’ve been constantly searching for just how to crystallize the essential, liberating, loving message that WHITE Americans must ponder and internalize and commit …

    Am tormented by the failure of my fellow WHITE Americans to realize that their salvation, the very quality of their life – every single moment they still have to live – will never be realized, will never be experienced until they rid themselves of any sense of superiority over, any need to control, any need to be FEARFUL of the vast majority of the nearly 7 BILLION people who co-habitat planet EARTH & who also happen to NOT BE WHITE.
