I decided a while ago to stay neutral for the time being in the 2016 campaign but I’m going to tell you that I follow all the campaigns and I must tell you that Bernie’s campaign is running circles around Hillary’s campaign when it come to media/tech. His stuff reminds me of the tech team from the Obama Campaigns.

    And here is a sample:

Did you guys hear that effing Bristol Palin is pregnant again? After taking a quarter of a million dollars to preach abstinence, she’s knocked up again. Unmarried, two children by two different fathers.

So it begins – Mike Huckabee says – “Congress must act” – this congress? it doesn’t do “act” – but I’m wondering how he thinks they can overturn SCOTUS relying on both fundamental rights and equal protection.

I get the feeling that the RWNJs want the equality cause of the Constitution replaced with “All men are not created equal”.

When the decision was announced today, I turned to my husband and said, “so many changes in our lifetime that we would never have thought possible.” Today would have been inconceivable in the US I grew up in during the 50’s and 60’s. Looking back it was as if we all lived in little tight boxes where everyone had a preordained role. If you were a women, you did x. If you were a person of color, you did y. If you were gay or lesbian, you remained silent. I thank God that I have lived to see all these little boxes explode. Today is a zeitgeist changing moment. The US, despite its many, many flaws, has grown up a little and begun to understand that having a society that works for everyone is something to embrace, rather than fear. It’s beyond tragic that this progress has been made just one week after a racist hate crime in Charleston destroyed nine beautiful lives. As President Obama said, our union is a little more perfect today, but we still have a long, long way to go.

MSNBC just broadcast the DC Gay Men’s Chorus singing The Impossible Dream from Man of la Mancha. The lyrics talk about “One Man, brave and faithful and true,” who brings forth the impossible dream. Not much doubt who That Man is.

Today and yesterday are the American Dream made a bit more real. A person born in the sixties, carried the often frayed and tattered flag from Woodstock and the communes, “Hair”, all that Hope and Changed deferred and deflected and delayed– It is here and for some of us for whom The Sixties never died—It is Here Now—real and alive because America had the wisdom to elect and re-elect Barack Obama to lead us here.

Now I will pull myself together.

What this decision–and yesterday’s–proves is how bankrupt the GOP is. When all you have is sanctimony and hatred, when all you can sell to people is that others are coming for their freedoms and institutions, you consider the last two days the end of the Republic. People in love can now enjoy the language of love and poor people can get checked for cancer. How awful. Take back our country. From whom, from what? The GOP has a problem of the heart, not the mind.

NYC Governor Cuomo has announced that the WTC light will be rainbow colored tonight. Credit where credit is due: Cuomo was great for marriage equality and Obamacare. Also he banned fracking.
His ugly feud with Bill de Blasio isn’t the whole story of Andrew. He has a lot of good sides, along with the petty vengeful qualities.
