Today was supposed to be a very busy day for me but, nothing could make me miss President Obama live, speaking on Obamacare Victory.
Sitting here with sunglasses perched on my head and handbag hanging on door. PBO finishes and I go on my way.

Blimey – I can’t keep up – last post every thread – repeating this one because – media – NEVER call it liberal

    Its all in the headline
TPM which once upon a time supported democratic views says “OBAMACARE SURVIVES” And thereafter are 10 or so rightwing discussions.

CNN where I rarely go “COURT UPHOLDS OBAMACARE” – a MUCH better way to describe what happened.
Even Fox says “Court Upholds Obamacare Subsidies”

    now to more important question.

will hillz still be talking about ‘fixing obamacare’? like her stoopid proteges did in 2012 and had to eat crow.

She has to drop that meme. I am waiting on Batman, I mean Joe. I am not supporting Hillary. Later for her, she started that Birther mess.

    First word out of Mrs Greenspan’s mouth….”SCOTUSCARE ” !!!!

    She is such a tool…..

I am still waiting for her to admit her first marriage was to a Black Man. When she wrote her book, she never mentioned him…..

      June 25, 2015 at 12:09 pm

She really said that? Now she wants to change Obamacare to Scotuscare huh?

wooooh, I did not know that, Googled it and there it is….she was married to a AA man and she helped raise his kids before she divorced him. Her book does not mention him because the kids are still alive who could write a mommy dearest book too. She left him while he was still suffering from MS. I guess she feels if he dead there is no “first” marriage.

Our guys are so great together doing what they do for all of us, here and abroad, with heart, courage and spines of steel. Add to the fact that they are doing it with hearts broken by loss (I dread tomorrow) and in the case of PBO, “presidenting while Black, they are “.”profiles in courage.” I love and respect them so much.

55+ meaningless repeal votes by rethugs. multiple lawsuits. outright gop lies propagated the fifth columnist media.

you have come a long way, baby.

  33. June 25, 2015 at 12:08 pm

So. I take it there’s some news brewing today?

  34. 81 amk for obama
    June 25, 2015 at 12:10 pm

    mayhew over at bj.

Just some quick thoughts on the Supreme Court 6-3 decision affirming the government’s position.

6-3 decision is what I thought the best case scenario would have been
    Unified majority
I was expecting a split majority, 4 liberals go WTF, and Roberts/Kennedy going for the NFIB Federal non-coercion logic and finding. I got that wrong
Big government win — subsidies availability is inherent to the law. This means President Cruz can’t order his IRS to rework the rule allowing subsidies to go to Healthcare.gov states on January 21, 2017.

This is a bigger win that I thought possible, basically the ACA is entrenched and besides nibbling on the edges like Hobby Lobby, the only threat to the law is a Republican trifecta. So time to expand the Senate majority in 2016 to build a blocking coalition through 2022.

From one of the commenters there:

“Scotusblog thinks RGB will pen the Arizona redistricting opinion and Kennedy the same sex ruling.”

If RBG writes AZ redistricting…I feel good!

    • 83 57andfemale
      June 25, 2015 at 12:47 pm

I was shocked at the breadth of this decision, amk. Almost as if the Court understood what was important.

      No one expected THAT.

Wow! What a great, great time we live in and how blessedly fortunate we are that Barack Obama is our president. This is, indeed, a great day for America!

Of course, now we will never know what pathetic non-solution the Republicans had in store for us if the SCOTUS had voted against ACA. How will we survive without this knowledge?
