LOL…I have to smile as I look at his schedule for the week…HEAD’S EXPLODE ALL WEEK LONG:) Let’s see, there’s Ramadan, and LGBT honors….and he said the *N* word!! Oh my! Why won’t the MSM behave like adults and let the rest of us have adult conversations about the racism that still exists in our country? ( Rhetorical question. They are 2 year olds)

Given Chuck Todd’s effort on Sunday – the MSM are the problem and enjoy that role. The adults will talk in spite of the media – not because of it.

GOP Candidates Got Cash From White Nationalist Cited By Charleston Suspect

Holt donated $8,500 to Cruz and his Jobs, Growth & Freedom Fund political action committee, records show. He also donated $2,250 to Paul’s super PAC and $1,500 to Santorum’s 2012 presidential campaign.

A Cruz campaign spokesman told The Guardian that the senator would be refunding Holt’s donations immediately. A Santorum campaign spokesman told the publication that the former senator “does not condone or respect racist or hateful comments of any kind,” but did not say Santorum would be refunding Holt’s donations.

A spokesman for Paul did not return The Guardian’s request for comment.

The jokes Cruz was making about guns on the weekend showed exactly where he stands in relation to white privelege/supremacy. O would need to see the bank statements to believe the money is going back & even then I would have some doubts.

From Booman’s most recent post -This is one beautiful litany:

” Indeed the service at Baber AME (after a musical prologue of some truly stirring gospel music and much welcoming and hand shaking by the church members) opened with a call and response reading, as follows verbatim:

Leader: We were considered 3/5ths a human by the United States Constitution, and often dehumanized, segregated and treated like cattle.
People: But we were made in your image. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful (Psalm 139)

Leader: Middle Passage, Slavery, Jim Crow Laws, Poll Taxes, fire hoses, dogs, lynchings, the KKK, illegal choke holds, right wing rhetoric, racial profiling, mass incarceration and the list goes on and on and on.

People: If it had not been for the Lord at our side they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us. Praise the Lord, who has not let us be swallowed by their teeth. (Psalm 124)

Leader: From the outhouse to the statehouse, to the courthouse – and in 2008 – to the White House.

People: For with God nothing shall be impossible. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

    Leader: Sing a song full of faith that the dark past has taught us, sing a song full of hope that the present has brought us;

People: Facing the rising sun of the new day begun, let us march on till victory is won. “

The Scotus blog discussion is useful in giving reasons for why a decision is now/later – but basically I think arapaho is right – the important ones are left to last – your idea on “flying out fast” could be close to the mark. 🙂

      GM/GE 99ts.

Couldn’t figure out why so many speculated (aka MSM) that SCOTUS decision would be announced last week.

Historical precedent for rulings on hugely anticipated decisions are announced just before SCOTUS skips town until the first Monday in October.

      • 31 99ts
        June 22, 2015 at 11:26 am

Which will probably be next Monday. There are 7 outstanding decisions after today. Four were given today.

King v. Burwell (ACA) was argued in February which is why some folks think the decision should be ready. There is still 1 case outstanding from January, 2 from February, 1 from March & the remainder from April – so they seem to announce vaguely based on length of time since argument.

MSM, and from what I hear, Black punditocracy, lie to Americans when they say that PBO doesn’t talk about the role race plays in American society.

A few of the great journalists of the past would have been able to lead a serious public discussion in the mainstream media, but the infotainers/newstainers today cannot fathom what President Obama has been trying to teach since at least 2008.

I absolutely LOVED the WTF interview with Marc Maron. He asked intelligent, thought-provoking questions with openness and respect and POTUS answered them in such a lovely and ebullient way, it was a complete joy to listen. I especially loved the part where he talks about being fearless and competent and how he would run an even BETTER campaign the third time around. YES, no doubt!!

    • 77 99ts
      June 22, 2015 at 11:36 am

What really upsets the pundits and the GOP politicians – it doesn’t matter what questions are asked – the President does not have to “prepare” answers. Give a pundit or a GOPer an unexpected question and they either give garbled stupid replies or refuse to answer. I don’t remember hearing such an eloquent educated President – on any topic – ever in my lifetime (probably starting with JFK as the first President I heard speaking).

      • June 22, 2015 at 11:43 am

I think you really hit the nail on the head. PBO never hesitates to answer any question or situation because he ALWAYS speaks from his heart. Ordinary politicians either get caught up in their lies or have to wait for their focus groups and polling operations to weigh in. Just watch him at town halls when he’s being heckled. He just goes with the flow and then says, “OK, that’s enough, let me move on.” On some occasions, he’s even followed up with the hecklers by inviting them backstage or speaking with them in the rope line. He is fearless.

        • 79 99ts
          June 22, 2015 at 11:51 am

There are so very few politicians who can do this. On occasion I listen to question time in our parliament. It is like a group of students when the teacher has left the room – yelling at each other – calling out those with whom they disagree and being generally disruptive. Our parliaments in times past used to be known for eloquent speaking and interesting debating. It has been a long time since this ever happened.

Yes, Michael Eric Dyson just took credit for it because of all the ” pressure ” he has put on PBO to address racism more.

Of course, just last week he was bad mouthing PBO for not addressing it when he gave his statement about the massacre in the Press Briefing Room.

I have to admit, I did not understand many of his 5-6 syllable words that appear to only impress his ego.

Pierce – as often – gets the final word on Chuck Todd’s unbelievable sunday program

“It was a spectacular failure of judgment. It was a spectacular collapse of simple human decency. It was as lunkheaded a decision as ever has been made by a major television network. A whole lot of somebodies should be on the sidewalk at the moment after having been counseled to seek employment in the fast-food industry. Jesus H. Christ on hiatus, how does your mind have to work to think that the weekend after a racist massacre at an African-American church is a good time to run a segment on African-American convicts? This is how.”

This was beyond moronic. People should be fired. Programs should be cancelled.
