I was a kid in the 50’s and 60’s. I know what overt racism is – not being allowed in certain department stores, theaters, amusement parks, etc. Yes, in Washington DC. People forget DC is the south. But the big difference is everybody didn’t have guns and there was no hate TV. There were forms of racism on TV and radio, but not like today.
I am heartbroken and angry. I’m done with marching and singing. I want action. I want good WHITE PEOPLE to stand up and say ENOUGH! This is there problem. They don’t want us here – in the country we built with our manual labor. TOO DAMN BAD. Because we’re not leaving. So GOOD WHITE FOLKS you need to initiate, in public, a conversation about the racism in this country. And with silence you are COMPLICIT.
