My heart bleeds for those murdered and for their families and communities but I echo President Obama’s sentiments that words are not nearly enough to convey the feelings of decent peace loving people all over the world. May those killed rest in the eternal peace of the Lord and may their loved ones and their community find peace.
What I wish for the terrorist is unprintable but surfice to say that I hope the full force of the justice system falls on his head and that he may rot somewhere hot!!

When I received my voter registration card here in Georgia….the town was listed as ” Pinckneyville “… ( Now Norcross Georgia )…
I was curious about why it said ” Pinckneyville “. Doing research, I found that it was established by a Charles Pinckney of Charleston South Carolina who was a plantation and slave owner. The town was 100 % white. He worked for Thomas Jefferson in the early days and became part of his Administration. He was later elected as Senator from SC. I now think that Clementa Pinckney must have been a descendent of Charles Pinckney.
There is a Pinckneyville Middle School still in the area.

The Texas DMV was within its rights to reject a proposed license plate design that included the Confederate flag.
The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles acted lawfully in rejecting a license plate displaying the Confederate flag.
The court ruled that license plates represent “government speech,” meaning the Texas DMV can control license plate contents without limiting the rights of the private parties who submit designs or slogans, according to the 5-4 ruling.
The Texas Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) had applied for a line of specialty license plates with its own design depicting the Confederate flag logo in 2013. The group argued the DMV violated the free speech clause of the First Amendment when it rejected the design for being offensive to the public, and the case reached the Supreme Court in December.
“Each plate is a government article serving the governmental purposes of vehicle registration and identification,” Justice Stephen Breyer wrote for the majority. The ruling also asserted that the government is itself protected by the Free Speech Clause, so the Texas DMV is free to set its own limits for accepting specialty plates.
In this case, the SCV design — a square Confederate flag, encircled by the group’s name and founding date, all superimposed over a faded Confederate flag receding into the distance — crossed the line.

States that choose to do that might as well put signs on their borders saying, “You are now entering racist (not to mention stupid) territory. Southern states committed an act of treason by declaring war on their country. Those states were defeated in war and the treason was put down. End of story. There is nothing romantic, glorious, nostalgic or brave about those who commit treason and that flag is nothing more than a hate sign, as loathsome a symbol as a swastika. Yet we all sit by and allow some states and people to sport these symbols of hate without showing the slightest revulsion. Displaying the confederate flag in 2015 should be a mark of shame. It is to all of our collective shame that it isn’t universally reviled.
