Totally shallow remark, but I love these lighter colored gray suits the president is wearing. They are a visual relief and delight from only dark blue and black. Hope he wears tan again a lot too!!!

It’s all so exciting! All we really have to do is pay attention to what the President is doing, and life will seem grand!

The look on that young man’s face – pride, admiration, respect, joy, you name it. Can’t put a price on that. He will NEVER forget this moment and it will come back to serve him well at his highest and lowest periods in life.

This!! I have been riveted on the photo for many minutes. This is how PBO shapes the future, he sets the example, sets the bar high, says YES YOU CAN, and gives them a place for their Heart to function and thrive. He is the finest human being I have ever known of. Our President Barack Hussein Obama. Thank you to all of us for electing him twice!! We knew what we were doing, eh? ❤

    WHAT!!! Prince & Stevie Wonder….

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has thrown an invisibility cloak over many issues during its nearly seven years in office: drone strikes in Yemen, the raid to kill Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, even provisions of a Pacific trade pact involving 12 nations. On Saturday, that cloak had a purple fringe when President Obama and his wife, Michelle, invited about 500 guests to a private party where Prince, whose signature album is “Purple Rain,” and Stevie Wonder entertained guests for two hours of dancing. While the party had been rumored for days, it was not mentioned on the president’s official schedule, and it managed to come off with almost no publicity. Until the White House news briefing on Monday afternoon, Twitter posts by attendees offered among the few public acknowledgments of the event and its highlights…Prince and Mr. Wonder are said to have played together on one of Mr. Wonder’s most popular songs, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours).”

So very true from my POV, Bob. Jeb! has deeply seated personal identity issues. Too bad he’s playin’ ’em out in front of all of us.

      Jeb! Gone! Please!

Listened to a few minutes of LOD earlier. He put up a full quote from HRC when she was SoS–her full support and praise for the TPP that was (just) beginning to be worked on. If someone could find it and share, would appreciate.

The Texas town that banned fracking (and lost).

They’re not opposed to fracking, mind you, but only NIMBY.

I wonder who these town clowns voted for.

Well, japa and all other Chicagoland residents…..the Blackhawks won. I am always for the Blackhawks, even though I lived in Chicago only four years…..once a Chicago-ite, always a Chicago-ite. So glad PBO will get to welcome them to the White House again.

    al-wuhayshi death confirmed:

‘ He was seen as al-Qaeda’s second-in-command and was a former private secretary to Osama Bin Laden….The Site intelligence group previously said that if the death were confirmed it would be the biggest strike on al-Qaeda since Bin Laden’s death in Pakistani in 2011.’

I’m so glad Hubby is home from a fishing trip. He’s the only one I can share a troubling problem with. Not something I can talk about over the phone.
Not something we can solve either. What will be, will be.
