          They building snowmen down south of me – fortunately (at least for the time being) it does not snow where I am living. Mornings of about 5C – which I think is about 40F – colder than I wants to be – and this is just the start. I blame President Obama – it is time he outlawed winter.

    This Saturday our little granddaughter, who’ll be three in September, has her first dance recital, so we’ll be traveling down to the DC area for the big event. Thanks to TOD, I will not have to miss our President’s eulogy. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate having this place to come to for the information that matters.

    Good Morning Chips, Danny and congrats on 1st est JackieB. Hve a wonderful day all. Thunderstorms today up in the Northern part of MN. Going home tomorrow to I think a little better weather. I have been helping my Sister clean out her basement and put stuff on Craigs List. Already got an inquiry on the Corner Computer work center. So I guess time well spent. Having lunch with a friend that I haven’t seen since she came to Rochester for Open Heart surgery 2 years ago. Will be nice to see her and just catch up on the BS. LOL. Have a wonderful day everyone. (((hugs))) to you all.

    This Spring our daughter was diagnosed with sleep apnea and was fitted with one of the appliances that help you to sleep. When our granddaughter had a fitful night, her mom went in to lie beside her for a while. Our little one looked up and said, “Mommy take off your nose!”

    Did you see the stupid CNN poll that came out last night. What a bunch of bullshit. POTUS approval rating dropping. Keep it up Bernie, Warren, AFL-CIO and the Senate. The people that are too lazy to actually pay attention to what this POTUS has done for the USA, are who they take a poll on. I have never been called to take a poll. Of course, I don’t answer my phone if I don’t recognize the number. LOL.

    • 28 Linda
      June 3, 2015 at 7:53 am

      I looked into that poll and some questions were only asked to half of the sample.

      I think polls are meaningless.

        June 3, 2015 at 7:54 am

        I wouldn’t trust CNN to give me change for a quarter, let alone conduct a poll. They are completely without integrity, bought and paid for by their billionaire owners.

      Notice how very little is said about polls that have a positive result for our President. It’s all part of the media agenda to promote Republicans in 2016. It’s an old and tired game and we’re on to them.

        Have you ever noticed how PBO draws large crowds wherever he goes or speaks regardless of what the media has him polling at? I believe what I see.

    “Man raises eyebrows carrying rifle through Atlanta Airport”

    http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/man-raises-eyebrows-carrying-gun-through-atlanta-a/nmTFS/

    =====

    ATLANTA —
    A man carrying a rifle inside the Atlanta airport wasn’t breaking any laws, but he did raise a few eyebrows, including those of some Atlanta police officers Jim Cooley … says he knew he wasn’t breaking any rules because he has a full understanding of Georgia’s gun laws.

    “You can carry in unsecured areas of the airport. Past TSA, never,”

    That’s exactly what he did. Cooley carried his AR-15 fully loaded with a 100-round drum through parts of the terminal.

    Channel 2’s Mark Winne spoke with the FBI about Cooley’s actions…The FBI told Winne that Cooley did not violate federal law.

    Clayton County Solicitor General Tasha Mosley says a state law that took effect July 1, 2014, allows a permitted citizen with a handgun or a legal long gun to carry the gun in a commercial airport in many areas, but not to knowingly take it in or beyond security screening areas. It is also not allowed in certain other restricted areas.

    • June 3, 2015 at 7:50 am

      The Georgia Safe Carry Protection Act:

      …expands where licensed carriers can take their weapons and includes varying rules affecting bars, churches, schools and government buildings.

      • Licensed carriers can bring their guns into government buildings that don’t have metal detectors or security guards screening visitors.
      • School districts are now able, if they so choose, to allow some employees to carry a firearm on school grounds under certain conditions.
      • Allows those with a license to carry to bring a gun into a bar without restriction, unless a bar owner posts a sign saying otherwise.
      • For places of worship, the assumption is still that guns aren’t allowed, but lawmakers gave religious leaders the ability to say they are OK

    • June 3, 2015 at 9:13 am

      See how that would work for a person of color or a person sporting Muslin gear….the Hypocrisy of OPEN Carry is getting old

    • June 3, 2015 at 9:19 am

      Now if that was a Muslim or a black man they would have a dam fit even if they had a permit. The police would come in there all set to gun them down. Our people can’t even carry a fake gun. But these white folks can walk around with a loaded weapon like that and no problem. Who ever pass that law allowing this to happen are dam racists idiots. Every last one of them. It makes no sense at all.

    • 43 Nena20409
      June 3, 2015 at 12:29 pm

      To get this law changed in a nanosecond, it will take just a group of AA Men wearing what this idiot in the photo and a few Men and Women dressed in Arabic Garment and the GA State Assembly will quickly have this idiotic law changed. The Media is all up in arms about 67 of 70 failures by the TSA in some airport Test the agency conducted on itself recently. The same Media…..especially CNN, whose Headquarters is in Atlanta, GA would Never dared to cover this story Truthfully, Honestly or Accurately.

    June 3, 2015 at 7:57 am

    Well, SW, you have to wonder what this little man was trying to prove. Is he so insecure about his masculinity that he had to carry a big gun and make sure everyone could see him? There certainly is no other rational explanation. Little people with big guns–Freud would have had a field day analyzing these pathetic souls.

    What is up with CNN? They are the fear mongering ISiS station. Now they come out with this stupid poll about President Obama’s ratings sinking in which they did a random survey on the telephone of 1025 people. This is their top story. Their ratings must be going down and they think this will help gain them some President Obama haters.

    • June 3, 2015 at 9:32 am

      I will be emailing CNN and letting them know that I wanted to say afew words about their new poll, Dear CNN if I could I would vote for President Obama again in 2016 over Hillary, Bernie, O’Malley and any of those clowns on the GOP side. That’s the confidence I still have in this President!!!!!!!!!!!!!. One of the 1025 you didn’t bother to call.

            This owl brings to my mind a poem I learned as a child titled, “The Owl and the Pussy Cat.” Here goes:

            The owl and the pussycat went to sea out in a beautiful pea-green boat;
            They took some honey and plenty of money, wrapped up in a 5-pound note;
            The owl looked up to the stars above and sang to a small guitar;
            Oh wonderful pussy, oh pussy my love
            what a beautiful pussy you are, you are, you are;
            What a beautiful pussy you are.

    This looks very promising – Apparently this dude has developed a drug that will be effective on several cancers.
    ———————————————————————————————————————————————

    Jamaican Scientist Offered Over $11 Billion [US$100 million] For Cancer Research Patent

    Dr. Lawrence Williams, a research consultant with the Scientific Research Council is certainly one Jamaican who has achieved great things and his hard work and dedication certainly make him worthy of recognition and emulation.

    Williams obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1987, after completing undergraduate studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI) with a major in Zoology and a minor in Chemistry.

    He has been studying a compound from the Guinea Hen Weed (scientific name: Petiveria alliacea) for several years which has now reached the patent stage.

    So promising is his breakthrough that he has already been offered over $11 billion (US$100 million) for a patent relating to his cancer research. The offer was however declined because its value is estimated to be greater than what was offered.

    Dr. Lawrence Williams via jamaicaobserver.com

    Dr. Williams and a Jamaican partner residing in the United States currently hold that patent and reportedly received the impressive offer from a major drug company located in the United States.

      Good Morning TOD family.

      I am not surprised. Big Pharma has No intention of getting rid of Cancer which is their cash cow. They will buy it and bury that patent. Can’t have their multimillion salaries in jeopardy.

        Morning Jojo. You know, I never for a minute considered that scenario (can’t believe they’d be so heartless), I thought they simply wanted to get richER from it by manipulating the cost. Like when they give nothing to the creator of a patent, then collect on it into perpetuity. Sigh, why can’t rich/powerful humans be reasonable?

    Bush tried to change Nevada from a caucus to a primary state.
    When Sen. Obama beat Sen. Clinton in the Nevada caucuses, Lady Walmart took the Obama campaign to court trying to invalidate Sen. Obama’s victory.
    Her argument was that “her people” were shift workers and couldn’t get to caucuses, and so forth.

    Clinton/Bush more in common than what separates them.
