    Morning.

The USA Freedom Act voting begins at 10:30 AM.

    Also this is good

A new lawsuit from Hillary Clinton’s legal counsel is taking aim a Gov. Scott Walker and the Republican Party’s efforts to suppress the vote in Wisconsin.

    also this

Hillary Clinton’s top campaign attorney has filed a similar lawsuit in Ohio. These lawsuits are proof that the Clinton team is planning on being very proactive and aggressive in the fight against Republican voter suppression tactics.

It is smart for Clinton’s representation to file these lawsuits instead of the campaign itself. The campaign will still have the option of legal action, and the Justice Department will be very active in protecting voting rights.

Jawdropping chart here. If you can post this chart as a stand alone….maybe people will begin to understand the income inequality as it relates to taxes… Holy Moly!

Morning everyone. Can’t believe it’s June already…or as my husband said this morning..”almost time to go back to school!” 🙂 🙂

And this is the crux of the problem: That these uber wealthy have lost any sense of responsibility to the rest of society. Each passing year gets worse and worse…

The income tax system was only minimally regressive overall throughout this decade of IRS data, and at the very top it actually turned around and became regressive. These design flaws have helped to create the extreme wealth inequality that’s motivated Sanders to campaign against “a casino-type capitalism…where the people on top have lost any sense of responsibility for the rest of society,” as the Vermont socialist put it to CNBC in May.

    Good mornin’, Chips and TOD!

Chips, in addition to the photo of The Hands, my favorite is the President’s look in the 10th image from the top (he’s sitting next to Speaker-for-Life Pelosi). He sure can wake up a room!

I fully expected BCBS to screw up the application and I won’t go with them during the open enrollment at the end of the year (I loathe Blue Cross Blue Shield). But they got me my card in less than 10 days from my application at medicare.gov. I went with a different company for my Medigap. Now to make some doctor’s appts. The finger I cut in February may need surgery. Or maybe not. But I will get to look at the most gorgeous doctor I’ve ever seen – the hand surgeon. There should be background music playing when he enters a room…….

🙂 Reminds me of the time I had a “rear end” issue….the Dr. walked into the room and I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He was so totally beautiful with a killer smile and beautiful eyes…yet he snapped those latex gloves on and I was totally embarrassed:) Wanted to crawl out of the room…should have been a beast:)

Next to PBO, the most gorgeous black man I’ve ever seen. Dressed impeccably. My only fear is that he won’t stay in Chicago. He’s from Chicago, but he worked in Florida where he met his wife. Her first winter in Chicago was two years ago – one of our worst. I wonder if she’s going to be able to adjust.

            • June 2, 2015 at 11:54 am

Well, I certainly hope so for your sake!

When I had viral pneumonia last Fall, my pulmonologist was so handsome, so kind and caring, I could hardly speak. He took about 45 minutes with me, going over my history, blood work and x-rays, chatting about this and that…….I confess I got quite a lot better after that visit, I must say.

This guy had the personality and bedside manner to match his good looks. Makes it all the more pleasant. I’d had a weird growth on my hand for over five years and never had it looked at until ACA (thanks, Obama!). He didn’t quite know what it was, it was superficial, said we could re-check it in 6 months. After 5 years, it then went away on its own. So he’s a miracle worker, too! I hope he can help me with the nerve damage in my finger.

    • 64 jacquelineoboomer
      June 2, 2015 at 11:28 am

Shocking. Not. Some people are so small-minded!

For those w/o “patrician tastes” – “I am particularly grateful to the police & medical teams remarkable # Geneva and # Scionzier – true professionals.”

    • June 2, 2015 at 11:30 am

You know what I find hilarious about the incident as reported by some newstainers? Initially they said that the Secretary was injured in France and then flown to Switzerland – he of course had his biking incident in the “French” Canton (state) of Switzerland, which borders France. Americans are not known for their Geography skills. Mr. Kerry is fluent in French and attended an exclusive boarding school in the tiny village of Zug, Switzerland which is about 40 minutes south of Zurich. The school sits on top of a hill near the lake and I used to pass it every day when I lived in Zug, Switzerland – I think it use to be a monastery.

Sidebar: Zug is home of Marc Reich whom President Clinton pardon when he was giving away pardons during last hours of his presidency. Reich fled US and relocated to Zug,Switzerland after he was convicted for money laundering in the 1990’s.

      Just a bit of triva.

      • June 2, 2015 at 11:57 am

        Verrrryyy interesting!

I admire Sec Kerry immensely, partly because he is a cultured man. Too bad the lowbrow RW can’t appreciate a good education and informed world view.

I am sorry TOD. I refuse to give up on this story. Why? GOPers and the US Media love to ignore facts……Since 2006, it was a public record that then Speaker was living with his male Homosexual staff. My objection is never on who one loves. It is always on Hypocrisy.
I am so sick and tired of the Story the press did with John Edwards…..who did a bad thing…….who lost already by March 2008. Yet in 2009, the press was dealing with this story as if John Edwards had a chance.
Hastert was 2nd/3rd depending on how counts, to the ascendency of the Presidency. That is a BFD.

    • June 2, 2015 at 1:12 pm

I agree with your assessment of the media, but I don’t think Hastert will be off the hook.

While we’re talking about hypocrisy, I do have to say, I don’t agree at all with Democrats’ efforts to make Bill Clinton out to be some sort of innocent bystander, no matter the comparison. I’m no prude, but I’m disgusted that he chose to have an affair inside the White House and then lie to everyone about on camera and then under oath, all an abuse of power. Yes I know there were both consenting adults and HRC is cool with it, but he tarnished the office of the presidency and he refused to take responsibility for it. In my book, he is thoroughly skeevy. I don’t think we have to spend more than a couple of seconds to know what what would happen to any other Dem POTUS if that happened on their watch.

NPR had some guy on that they expected Blatter to be re-elected and that the indictments were just a political ploy by America. That most of the past under represented countries like South Africa, Phillipines, etc., loved Blatter for bring them into FIFA when past Presidents would only recognize the European countries. I guess we know now it was about getting paid…..

OMG—Loretta Lynch bagged Blatter. Way to go, Madame US Attorney General! New Yorkers are not surprised. We knew who Loretta Lynch is.

Also, in lesser news, but good, is that according to The Count this is PBO’s 19th Medal of Honor ceremony with 45 medals bestowed. This is Legacy building stuff because all military families are paying attention to the respect POTUS and FLOTUS have for them. Not empty screeches of “Support the Troops” but actually doing so to all our Troops, past and present.
