Good morning, all. I want to thank Chips, NW,LL and all contributors for this space. The tributes to Beau Biden were beautiful. What a wonderful space you created, Chips.

Good morning all. I am trying to process why things happen as they do. Yesterday I learnt of the passing of one of my students. As another staff member said they are supposed to come to our funeral not the other way around. I also share in your grief as you mourn the passing of Beau Biden.

Morning all. I think we’re all feeling a little emotionally drained today. It’s amazing how you see things in your life in a different perspective when a tragedy has occurred. Little irritations that seem so important don’t seem to matter anymore
    .
On another note, we had some of the worst weather in my memory last night. Big hail stones, high winds, dense rain and today flooded roads with more storms on the way. A big cupboard fell over on my back porch with such a loud noise, I thought the floor had cracked and was scared silly. I think 2015 will be remembered as the year of the Storm Spring.

“I think 2015 will be remembered as the year of the Storm Spring.” – True, true words.

Sending positive thoughts for you, your family, and friend’s safety and glad that you’re here with us today.

Jackiegrumbacher, your worst weather sounds just like what happened here in Montana yesterday. We had a sudden storm, hail sones, high winds and rain. It didn’t last too long though. Just blew over part of the lattice on our deck. As we all know there is no climate change.

    Good Morning, Chips and TOD.

It’s been an emotionally draining weekend to say the least.

Sending love and comfort to the Biden family and also the TOD family as we begin this new week.

    You all are special people.

Here is last week’s @Interior recap. As usual, the Sec of the Interior has been ‘on the move’, furthering the President’s promise re native youth, plus some reporting on this and that. [reminds me of Chips old title ‘This and That’ – always ruffled me that she used to leave out ‘the Other’. 😉 😀 ]

Good morning TOD folks! Thanks to everyone for easing the sad news yesterday with poems, songs, and kind words. That positive energy and support will surely filter through to everyone and lift us all up.

Good morning all. Chips, NW, LL, Meta, Donna and so many others. I found solace here this weekend with the tributes to Beau Biden. Thank you so much. His passing really hit me hard – I guess from a mother’s prospective – or maybe from the prospective of the loss of a good person, father, son, husband, or leader. We seem to have so few good people looking out for us. The President’s statement was amazing. You are all amazing. Thank you .

I did, too, Jackie. I am devastated by this loss, and it was like congregating in the living room with mourners. What a haven Chips has created for all of us.

PEOPLE AGAINST OUR GOVERNMENT STRONGLY REMIND ME OF THE COLONISTS WHEN THEY FIRST CAME HERE…WANTING IT ALL FOR THEMSELVES WITHOUT RULES…SO THEY MURDERED AND ENSLAVED OUR NATIVE AMERICANS AND TOOK OVER…MAKING THEM BOW TO THEM. IF THAT WASN’T ENOUGH…THEY IMPORTED AFRICAN AMERICANS AND SPLIT UP FAMILIES TO CLEAN THEIR TOILETS..AND NOW THE RELEGATE THE LATINO IMMIGRANT TO THE LIFE OF AN EARTHWORM LIVING IN THE SHADOWS…FOR THE SAME REASONS!…GO TO HELL RAND PAUL!

SUED – yes yes yes! Right now, my Latino brothers and sisters have had to create an underground railraod of sorts just to survive and keep their families together. If we are the beacon of freedom and liberty we need to act like it.

  29. June 1, 2015 at 10:36 am

What a lot of those pundits missed is that the coalition that elected President Obama…twice…is actually the future of the Democratic Party. Mayor De Blasio’s huge win in NYC was as much about his promise to end “stop and frisk” for young men of color as it was about his populist economic agenda. The group of (mostly white) populist Democrats who have been receptive to politicians like Warren and Sanders is not big enough to win a presidential election.

Maybe if they spent money and time on the front end, they wouldn’t be in this place?

Indiana is training 300 prisoners to kill infected chickens and banning bird shows at county fairs. Mississippi is considering road barricades and planning biosecurity measures. Iowa is trying to figure out how to deal with a mountain of dead – and reeking – chickens.
