Remember right after PBO’s inaugaration it was 24/7 doom and gloom on cable news over how the dow was down this many points, or that many points and it was ALL PBO FAULT!!

Now of course, with the stock market at record highs, according to the same media talking heads, that has nothing to do with PBO!!

HAH! the media has been waiting with baited breath since day 1 some story or mess up they can pin on our president. Too bad for them PBO is the real deal. the ‘news” will just have to keep making up their own nonsense.

Kid Kanga, what the media doesn’t get, is that BECAUSE PB is the real deal, if or when they find a story/mess their loud noise won’t influence many of us. PBO has never laid any claim to perfection, and as I understand it ‘to err is human’.

      THIS.

I feel reminded of this great spoof. “IĀ“m always judged depending how the Dow is either up or down, but it just jumped 500 points so tell me how you like me now!”

I like this reminder. How are you Nilia-t? It’s been a while.

        • May 11, 2015 at 12:52 pm

IĀ“ve been really good. Fairly busy at this time of the year with graduation exams of my students etc. I travelled to the US recently though and had a chance to get to Chicago which was fun. šŸ™‚

I forgot about the end of year push. šŸ™‚ Well, it’s nice that you had a break before getting caught up in the annual academic wrap-up (and the crush, by students, for extra marks).

It is funny how the Elizabeth Warren cultists are unable (or unwilling) to see her con for what it is. She fudges her claim that “nobody” knows what is in the trade deal by pointing to the fact that it is not available to the general public, but overlooks the fact that she has the ability to read the text of the proposed deal. She is also an attorney so should be able to decipher what is actually in the deal that is suppposedly causing her distress, instead of stoking fears using hypothetical situations. Sen. Warren is a prime example of why I truly loathe the extreme left. They are ideologues who value their own perceived “purity” (or the purity of their chosen hero of the moment) over getting anything done politically. They are exactly like the right-wingers who place symbolism over achievement. They fail to understand that politics is not for their personal catharsis. This impulse for purity lead to the rise of the Naderites, who made the election close enough for the Bush crime family to steal the election in 2000. They prey on the naivety of young voters (or those new to following politics) who lack the historical perspective to understand the implications of any course of action. They, the extreme right and left, both seem to share the view that the country deserves to suffer for not seeing things their way.

Eric, with your permission, this is going in a post later today because it’s simply flippin’ perfect.

And especially THIS >>> “the Bush crime family” <<<

Time to get them off the national stage.

      Spot-on and well-said.

And like the far right, they cozy up to anyone in opposition to PBO or anyone who they perceive can ‘take him down a notch’ – Assange, Manning, SnowdenWald, Putin, Warren.

And don’t try to tell them they might be wrong about anything.

She had a nice little hustle going until The President threw that 1700 Congressional briefings on her. Obviously caught she did what most people running a con do. Lie some more, distract, go into a frenzy and move the goal post. How’s that working? With regards to taking on the President not so well. With regards to fleecing the emo rubes…pretty profitable.

It is total idiocy that an intelligent person like Elizabeth Warren would think that regular citizens should be privy to delicate negotiations. I’ve lost all respect for her concerning this.

He didn’t used to be that way. Back in the day he was really one of the best. ODS apparently is so strong it will make you throw away a reputation you spent a lifetime building.

A catch-phrase like “too big to fail” tends to provide people with a way to handle an issue that is fraught with complexity and interconnectivity. But the problem with it is that it doesn’t provide an accurate diagnosis of the problem. That can make it much more difficult to actually solve.

They are exactly like the right-wingers who place symbolism over achievement.

The difference is that the wingnutz vote consistently to get their vile agendas passed. Unlike the loony left.

    • May 11, 2015 at 1:15 pm

Ah, so true, the extreme left sit on their pure asses during midterms, etc, and then blame everyone but themselves for the consequences.

    • May 11, 2015 at 1:22 pm

Spot on. They’ll field a candidate in every election including for dogcatcher then will work to get that person elected.

The left can’t be bothered and pretend not voting so as to screw yourself over is a badge of honor. They haven’t changed much in 60 years. People like Robert Kennedy detested them.
