It’s hard to remember how young he looked in the beginning of his Presidency, I’m always so taken aback by the change when I see these early photos. The evidence of all he’s taken on for us is constantly reflected in his hair, his face. We really are a very lucky nation.
I know what you mean, Sherijr. Sometimes I feel guilty that we’ve caused all that worry and stress, but I believe our president is still young at heart and still has surprises and triumphs on the road ahead of him.
Back in 2009, I used to wonder what he’d look like when he left office. He’ll always be handsome.
Thank goodness he’s in such great physical shape. He has truly shouldered the burdens of the world.
Oh I agree, there is nothing “old” about him at all… his youthful spirit and attitude belie that gray hair he sports 🙂 I’ve let mine go gray too, just so he’s not alone in it 😉
🙂 Morning, sherjr! Did you know that there are now people that are dying their hair gray ON PURPOSE?? For style! We’re just ahead of the game…or, we set the style for them to follow:)
lol… wow, I wouldn’t do that 🙂 I really liked being a strawberry blonde, but it’s just not to be anymore 😦 I really don’t like the gray, but it was time to stop fooling myself 😉 good morning df ~
I had gray hair when I was 18 years old. Not totally gray, but enough to notice. Colored it for many years…then, “Buckit” as PBO says:) I’m done. I earned every one and I’m ok with it. Life is too short to spend it worried about hair:)
My mom had gray at 18 too. Her hair was black except for a gray- then white patch in the very front. And yes DF, I have no doubt that you’ve earned your gray and then some 🙂 Wear it proudly.
I think people forget how powerful incumbency can be. Historically incumbents do well during re-elections. Usually things have to go really bad in order them to lose. David Cameron clearly had an advantage. Also I think that the turnaround in the economy was another big factor in the election results.
Morning all. I’m sure our FLOTUS will deliver an inspirational and unforgettable speech at Tuskegee. I hope our President gets some well deserved rest, wraps his Mother’s Day present to Michelle (and Mrs. Robinson), fills out the cards and then enjoys a leisurely round of golf.
It rained and got snow in SoCal areas. San Gabriel Valley got one evening of rain which I hardly heard falling. I don’t remember snow if May in SoCal, NoCal yes but not down here…..
GM JoJo. It’s beautiful but cold over here. I turned on my space heater this morning to knock the chill off in my bedroom. Temps should be warmer after my hair appointment.
GM GGail…up bright and early for your hair, nails, and other duties this weekend. I have been running the heater since it turned cold at least since Monday. Thank goodness it is warming up.
Just had Danny at the Vets to check a little limp he’s had the last couple of days, he had his injection, got tablets, and we’ll go back in a week to see if all’s okay.
The main news, though, is that they have a toy display on the wall in there – cats’ stuff on the left, dogs on the right.
You can guess on which side he lifted his leg and pee-ed – all over a mouse toy.
The alarming thing is, sherijr ….. I offered to pay for the pee-covered mouse, but they said ‘not at all’. And they left it hanging on the display, so the next cat owner who comes in ……. oh gawd.
I’m not sure it’s anything personal JoJo, he’s really only had one brush with an angry cat, so he can’t be a kittyaphobe yet. I think he was just being careful not to wee on the toys he wanted me to buy. (He got a sheep 😕 )
Ok, he needs to meet a friendly kittie although any cat that sees him coming is gonna freak out…just saying 🙂 Are you taking bets on how long the sheep lasts?
He’ll be fine GGail, they reckon it’s just a strain from all his jumping and swimming and leaping and the like. Needless to say, as soon as I rang to make the appointment, the limp disappeared. 🙄
She’s SOOOOO sassy! Ate a gift that I left in the middle of the dining room table. Came out of the shower and it was shredded all over the floor….yes, she’s “sassy” alright!!
Thanks Chips, and NerdyW, for the recap of PBO’s trip to Boston and South Dakota. I haven’t caught up fully yet, but I’m not 5 posts behind as some would have you believe.
Have yourselves a good Saturday, everyone, squeezing in many of the things you enjoy!
Good Morning TOD Family. Morning Chips and congrats to Roberta on being furst. Wow our very own Judith gets a hug from PBO, I hope you share the feeling of the day with us….this deserves a diary all by itself 🙂
Good morning Chips, Danny and TOD! Chips, I run dogs in agility which means lots of over taxing on their muscles at times. Same things that work for humans work for dogs. If you can get him to sit still for a few minutes, ice packs work wonders:-) Treats help while doing this.
Then there’s this, not to mention the financial crisis!
Hardly a word here that the guy who put iraq in iran sphere of influence was 43 . Obama left to clean up the mess https://t.co/Mf0PYV6IpJ— Laura Rozen (@lrozen) May 9, 2015
Hope everyone has a great Mothers’ Day weekend! Looking forward to FLOTUS’ address this morning.
Thank you Foxfire! The vet told me to rest him today, and he’s sitting here looking at me wondering why on earth we aren’t going on an epic adventure – nightmare!!!
Thank yooooooou Hopefruit! I was told I can give him light exercise tomorrow, and I was like: ‘how the flip do I do that?’ Once he’s off that leash, he’s like Chariots of Fire.
That means a leash:-) My little Pap is just recovering from a strain in her lower back. She’s been on NO exercise for four weeks. The hardest part has been how sad she looks when I take one of the other dogs for a walk. She just looks like her heart is breaking when we go out the door and she is left behind. But we’re at the end, so I told her she could walk tomorrow:-)
Good morning TOD ohana. Lovely wrap-up in the previous post (I was off-line yesterday) of all things POTUS, FLOTUS, and other news of note. Happy Mother’s Day to all who fill that role. Hope it is as lovely where you are as it is where I am in NE Fla. Have a great weekend.
A guy walks into a bar and sees a gorgeous babe nursing a drink. Walking up behind her he says, “Hi, there, good looking’! How’s it going’?”
She, having already downed a few power drinks, turned around, faced him, looked him straight in the eye and said: “Listen! I screw anybody, any time, anywhere, your place, front door, back door, it doesn’t matter to me. I’ve been doing it ever since I got out of college. I just flat-ass love it!”
Eyes now wide with interest, he responded, “No kidding! I’m a lawyer, too! What firm are you with?
GOOD MORNING TOD FAMILY….SUCH BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE AND MUSIC HERE TODAY…HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL OF THOSE SPECIAL LADIES…I RECEIVED SOME BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS FROM MY SON THIS MORNING…………:)…MY HEART IS STILL CELEBRATING PBO IN SD…SUCH A BEAUTIFUL TIME…MOMENTS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM EXPERIENCE ALL THE TIME…I LOVE MY ENERGIZER…HAVE A BLESSED DAY DEAR ONES!
Was planning to go out early this morning, but it looks like rain so I guess I will wait to hear our wonderful First Lady speak at Tuskegee this morning.
Absolutely SO THRILLED FOR YOU!! You deserved every single bit of that marvelous hug:) Only thing better would have been for me to be there and get one of those, too:) I called you a tireless warrior yesterday and I’m sticking to that today…memories for you to last a lifetime!
congrats on that wonderful moment, judith! glad your husband got the photo— he seems like a nice guy, and it would be a shame if he had to go through the rest of his life under the gaze of fury 🙂

LOL! See what I mean?
Magnificent!!! 😀 😀 😀
I see what you mean – scary……and persistent too.
Good Morning to you, Ms D-ette! 🙂 🙂
And it is so.

G’morning Chips, TOD, lurkers, everyone, and congrats Roberta on #1 🙂 Thanks Chips for this fantastic Saturday R & S roundup!
Thanks HF.
Whoa man, did I do a LOT of this yesterday! I should be ashamed, ASHAMED I tell ya! 😀
The Republicans do this 24/7 so don’t feel bad Lady D! 🙂
Oh no! You’re saying I’m going over to the Dark Side! Gagh! Nooooooooo….
Oh no Dudette…you could never go the dark side even if you tried! 🙂
looks like the left got a drubbing across the board at all levels.
Ugh!
I think people forget how powerful incumbency can be. Historically incumbents do well during re-elections. Usually things have to go really bad in order them to lose. Hiya MP!
Hiya, Dudette! Back from morning get ready for the day tasks 🙂
Good Morning BFF and TOD.
Good Saturday morning, TODers. May your weekend be full of relaxation and favorite things.
Rain predicted for end of next week but the last 3 or 4 predictions for rain in the Bay Area never materialized.

You too jojo😘

The main news, though, is that they have a toy display on the wall in there – cats’ stuff on the left, dogs on the right.
You can guess on which side he lifted his leg and pee-ed – all over a mouse toy.
😕
LOL, oh Chips, he was made for you 😉 what a character he is.
The alarming thing is, sherijr ….. I offered to pay for the pee-covered mouse, but they said ‘not at all’. And they left it hanging on the display, so the next cat owner who comes in ……. oh gawd.
Hope Danny is doing better…..so Danny doesn’t care for the kitties.. 😦
I’m not sure it’s anything personal JoJo, he’s really only had one brush with an angry cat, so he can’t be a kittyaphobe yet. I think he was just being careful not to wee on the toys he wanted me to buy. (He got a sheep 😕 )
Ok, he needs to meet a friendly kittie although any cat that sees him coming is gonna freak out…just saying 🙂 Are you taking bets on how long the sheep lasts?
oh my goodness… now that is kinda icky, lol. Hopefully they’ll reconsider that.
I’m just wondering now about the cuddly sheep I bought him – is it covered in cat pee?
Ha!
Danny boy.
I hope he gets better soon. ❤️
He’ll be fine GGail, they reckon it’s just a strain from all his jumping and swimming and leaping and the like. Needless to say, as soon as I rang to make the appointment, the limp disappeared. 🙄
Of course, Danny don’t like doctors either 😊
yeah, work him to the bone and them blame him. / smh
Heading out to go get “beautificated”!
Catch y’all later! 🙂
Good West Coast morning Chipsticks & TOD family. Wonderful & beautiful pictures, especially the one of our Judith!!!
G⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️d morning GGail – our boys are playing Crystal Palace today, so it should be easy 😕
Mooooorning Chips. I don’t think you should have said that. 😳
What on EARTH makes you think ANYTHING could go wrong??????????
I’m just saying…
guess pipedreams nevah die.
As PBO says, “dream big!” Like a win at Crystal Palace 😎
is not same as
If United hammer Palace, you can stick that in your pipe(dream) and smoke it. See what I did there? 😎
of course, you smoke pipedreams….
friggin’ ireesh who don’t unnerstand engleesh/smh
Morning, penpal:)
Good morning DF & Sassy Sadie 😊
She’s SOOOOO sassy! Ate a gift that I left in the middle of the dining room table. Came out of the shower and it was shredded all over the floor….yes, she’s “sassy” alright!!
That’s hilarious DF, she sure is feeling right at home!
We will be having a “talk” over the summer when I’m home about manners. Respect and manners:)
DF, when you’re done, please come over to my place and have a word with unohoo.
Certainly hope that sweet Danny is alright:) Sounds like we have two peas in a pod:)
Ah, thank you DF, hugs to your baby!!!
Yours as well:)
Oh nooooo!
You’re gonna have to put things waaay up higher 😄

Thank yooooooou Hopefruit! I was told I can give him light exercise tomorrow, and I was like: ‘how the flip do I do that?’ Once he’s off that leash, he’s like Chariots of Fire.
LOL – exactly. There’s no such thing as “light exercise” when it comes to Danny-boy!
That means a leash:-) My little Pap is just recovering from a strain in her lower back. She’s been on NO exercise for four weeks. The hardest part has been how sad she looks when I take one of the other dogs for a walk. She just looks like her heart is breaking when we go out the door and she is left behind. You should take her with you but her her in a wagon…how about that??
Her, her? Put.Her.In.A.Wagon. I must go tutor now:)
Ahhh…..she’d stay in a wagon about 2 seconds:-) She loves to run!
Good morning…..and so it goes.(I wish I was here.) 😦

Wish I was there. too 😦 Miss everything about it….. one day.
Yes indeed……one day.
