Greetings to the gold medalist, LP, and major props to Nerdy Wonka for making us laugh again!

I predict before too much longer, potential losers running for president will be trying to convince the world how the presidency of the US is really very overrated, and well, ANYONE could do what “Obama” has done. They won’t expect that people are listening now, and are seeing the astonishing accomplishments of a fantastically qualified TWO TERM President, loved by millions, if not billions, around the world! ‘Nuff said! ❤

  7. May 9, 2015 at 9:31 pm

“”Oh sorry *whispers* where are you from?”” 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 Damn, NW, that one is perfection!!

    Congrats LP 🙂

Ok folks, lunch seems to have thrown me for a loop. Missus and I feel like trucks hit us. And we have to rest up for our day trip tomorrow. So see everyone Monday.

You summed it up perfectly, Nerdy. Anyone who really heard our FLOTUS had a glimpse into the honest, beautiful, incandescent soul that is Michelle Obama. Her ability to speak the truth and inspire people to be better than they think possible is a rare and priceless gift that most of us don’t see in the ordinary course of our lives. Like her husband, a First Lady like Michelle Obama is a rarity in American history. She is one of a kind and we are blessed beyond measure to know her, to see her and to hear her in our lifetimes.

Her address today had me in tears. She is a remarkable woman, and it is wonderful how she has grown in her role as First Lady.

Thank you for the bit of twitter dialogue.

Also, “I think God must be pretty startled at a whole lot of stuff we do down here.” 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Thanks, Bobfr, and I agree with your diagnosis. But it’s hard because I want to defend PBO and the teacher in me keeps thinking I need to share the facts. And twitter was fun-I hadn’t been on in a long time and it was a good convo. Now I actually have to go get work done before I fall asleep!

let them knock themselves out – it is the final vote tally that counts and we know how much POTUS can focus on vote counts when circumstances demand it.

Microsoft to stop producing Windows versions.

Windows 10 is going to be the last major revision of the operating system.

Jerry Nixon, a Microsoft development executive, said in a conference speech this week that Windows 10 would be the “last version” of the dominant desktop software.

His comments were echoed by Microsoft which said it would update Windows in future in an “ongoing manner”.

Instead of new stand-alone versions, Windows 10 would be improved in regular instalments, the firm said.

can’t help but compare Speaker Pelosi’s approach to TPP to that of Sen Warren.

I suspect that Speaker Pelosi is opposed to TPP. However, she probably trusts PBO enough to express her concerns in private – even as she takes stock of where the other members of her caucus stand and will ultimately vote.

I think we see a case of how political maturity differentiates its self from naivety that is stroked by the media and some policy purists/absolutists
