NW – STUPENDOUS recounting of the President and First Lady’s (and Dr Biden’s) day of inspiration for ALL Americans. TY!!!!
Thanks, Bob!
Congrats swbluega on furst!
Thanks, jojo! 🙂
Exquisite! Thanks you gigantically, Legend!!!!
Thanks, Chiparoounited.
Happy to help! 🙂
Hijacking this, because Oh My Lord. Just finished watching the Premier League Preview, and John Carter (NOT John Carter of Mars), coach of Newcastle, said, with a straight face, that he’s the “best coach in the Premier League”. Denial is, as always, not just a river in Egypt.
Congratssssssssssss……swbluega

LIVE NOW: President Obama returns to Washington, D.C. – http://www.cbsnews.com/liveFeed/widget.shtml
Thanks JER. One of the rare times I was able to see him land on AF1 and go take off on Marine One at night.
ohhhhhhhhhh myyyyy goooooooodness…NW…once again proving to the world why Ms Chipsss calls you The Legendddddddddd…..what an awesomeeeeeee selection of pics…i love it!!!!
Awww…thank you, PF.
Good evening TOD! This president in SD was simply the best without the usual MSM garbage. Here’s a little video of PBO meeting and greeting the girl who wrote him the letter about his failure to visit. In addition to a hug and photos, looks like she got a little treat from PBO as well. I do not envy anyone who has to follow him in office. He is such a caring person, an impossible act to follow.

thanks for this– really puts you there!
What a wonderful moment between our President and the little girl who wrote to him. And the local media were genuine and real about how much this would mean in that young girl’s life.
That was so nice of our POTUS, that little girl will never forget that.
Yes I know this POTUS and this FLOTUS will be a hard act to follow. And I can’t even let myself think about the time when they will no longer be in that White House. But I must admit I fine myself counting the months, the time.
Thank you so much! I was just coming here to check if he met Rebecca!
Wait up for the slow coach MP!
ta-boom.
it’s not just the limeys, it’s the people everywhere.
Democracy is the worst form of government ever devised… except for all the other forms tried.
True LL
and we deserve it.
Nerdy, this is a stunning collection of photos that made my day. It’s wonderful and refreshing to see our president so loved and appreciated by people and the media who aren’t jaded by cynicism. Thank you for bringing it all here.
This ^^^^^^
🙂
I bet he just loved that whole day. I bet it renewed and energized him.
Thanks, Jackie.
I’ve always like that Ben Folds fella. Saw him at the Bowl last summer. Crackerjack composer as well as performer.
NW, thanks for the pictures and videos of the President & First Lady’s Day!
🙂
Wow! Wonder did POTUS watch the Cavs-Bulls game tonight. Derrick Rose just hit a jumper with the time running out to give the Bulls the win. A really good game, Bulls lead 2 games to 1.
Good job D.Rose 🙂
I don’t know who I want to win. I like Lebron and I’ve been a Bulls fans from Michael Jordon days. So who do I root for? Just hope it’s a good series, and it has been so far.
I saw you tried to lock me in the closet, GGail! ……….well I got out 😎
the effing door was open …… / smh
who pays attention to the details 😀
It’s just a 3-pointer. no bfd.
LOL….the play-by-play…tie game w/ 3 seconds left:
Just had to post this before departing ….
My heart goes out to the Father, two sons and one of the son’s girlfriend who’s single engine plane crashed on I-85 in Atlanta today. They were on the way to the third sons graduation. May they rest in peace and may God bring some comfort to the son who just lost his family to this tragedy. The plane burst into flames on the highway and there were no survivors.
GGail, I heard about that and I could not stand to listen to all of it. How sad.
i was over at charles pierce’s blog, reading his grumblings, and those of his regular commenters–usually savvy, if snarky, folks. i asked the same question (rhetorically): did they even listen to his speech? do they read what he has presented? pierce says it’s time for the president to ‘give some fks again’. really???
Good grief. I hate how misinformed the general populace is. But for people who write and hang out on blogs and know how to Google? Unforgivable.
every white feller with a blog is an instant expert on trade treaties, dontchaknow. reading up on the actual treaty? don’t ya know I got a whiny blog piece to write every 8 hours?
YUP
They can’t hear him; they’re too busy listening to their own sonorous voices rolling around in their heads.
Go on, and you just tell the world, jebbo, that’s right.
Thanks for all the picks and videos from today, NerdyW. I loved the Mother’s day Tea for military families hosted by Michelle & Jill.
🙂

That, amk, was hilarious.
Loved it.
Every time a RWNJ uses the “Don’t tread on me” flag inappropriately on twitter (like in an anti-Obamacare rant), we could post this with the comment, “Well, then, don’t s–t on me!”
Great round-up, NW! ….nice to be able to catch up after watching game 3 🙂
🙂
“It’s something not many people can say — that they’ve hugged the President, let alone met the President. But one lucky 11-year-old girl from Vermillion, Rebecca Kelley, can say she’s done both. And it all started with a letter to President Obama. Rebecca wrote the president saying she’s absolutely heart-broken he had not been to South Dakota yet. Little did she know, that letter would end up in President Obama’s hands. He invited Rebecca to Watertown to meet him. “There’s really no words to describe the feeling,” said Rebecca.A moment Rebecca says she’ll always remember.
“And then he gave me some presidential kisses and this little coin and then I gave him this — a full heart saying thanks for coming. Then he signed it and gave it back to me. And that’s the story,” said Rebecca. A little girl with a big heart and a dream that became reality — meeting the President of the United States. “I’ll probably eat the chocolates and then keep this and the wrappers. That’s what I’ll do,” said Rebecca.”

Sigh, the Obamas hug so many people I sometimes thing that when they leave office I’ll be the only person in America who HASN”T been hugged by them!
In a nation of 318.9M…….one 11 yrs old girl wrote her President. Got a reply. A Visit. A hug. A picture with the POTUS. A Presidential gift. The World watched and documented. Wow. That is a BFD.
Congratulations, Rebecca Kelly……in USA, 11 yrs old can get the attention of the Leader of the Free World. Salute!
“…It was the greatest experience of my life outside of the birth of my children and marrying my wife,” said Watertown native Jim Madison. “I think this is the greatest thing that’s happened in Watertown, certainly in the 30 years we’ve been there, but probably quite far back in history.” The President finally stepped foot in South Dakota, the last stop on his journey to visit all 50 states. The people of Watertown couldn’t be more honored the President chose their town to make his historic stop in. “Its one of the biggest things to happen since Watertown became a town,” said Jason Gabbert, who came from Minnesota..continued”

Great pics NW – many thanks
I am sure the White House must check out TOD – month or so ago I remember someone commenting that we hadn’t seen Flotus & Jill Biden out together for a while – and guess what – last couple of weeks – there they are 🙂 🙂
hmmmm…. well, in case you’re right…… ahem….
gosh, tod folk, i don’t think we’ve seen the president actually comment here on tod have we? certainly seems like it would be a good time for pbo to just drop in a say a few words, maybe take a selfie with chips… just sayin’ 🙂 🙂
LOL.
As some would say – in the fullness of time – probably come with Pete Sousa with a big thanks in 2017 – 🙂
