Morning. When PBO writes his post presidency (SIGH) best seller, I hope he tells us how he is able to seem as fresh and energized at the end of the day as he does at the beginning. There seems to be some wellspring of youth inside of him that never dries up.
Thanks for posting the Letterman interview, what a lovely interaction between he and our perfect POTUS.. when does he not surpass everything he’s involved in?
Be careful what you wish for. The woman who fought for an official day to honor mothers, later hated the idea because it had become too commercial. She tried to kill it, but commercial interests had become too ingrained by then. One thing Americans never give up is an occasion that makes money.

On another note…yesterday morning the principal of my school came in and interrupted class to give me a very unexpected award! I was so surprised by it, it just took my breath away….Exemplary teacher that goes above and beyond….OMG. Best of all, I was nominated because of what a parent wrote. Just absolutely made my day!!

I was really touched listening to President Obama at the “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative. I think he will do ever greater things once he’s out of office.
Don I was really touch too, because when you listen to him talk about things like that you get the feeling that he really cares. He knows that on his journey there were people who help him along the way and he want to reach back and help others too. he and FLOTUS feel that way, these words that they would say in their speeches, “When you made it through that door, you don’t close the door you reach back and bring others through that door.” Some don’t give a darn once they have made it, but our President is not like that.
You know you have reach the top when you are retiring and you get a visit from not only the First Lady, but the President. Last night on Letterman you can tell that Letterman has high respect for the President and First Lady. And as the President said it’s the same for them.
More involvement in our own government is maybe the most important part of PBO’s message. He put the need for “WE” involvement into being patriotic. The test will be when he is out of office to see if “WE” can continue our action in government.
Just finished watching the Letterman show from last night. What a great show. Our President had the full hour and the respect and intelligent questions asked by Letterman will go down as the greatest in the archives. Loved it and Love our POTUS. 🙂 And thank you for posting the clip of the President’s band with Michelle. I didn’t get to see her time on the Letterman show, so totally missed it. They were awesome. Thank God for TOD.
