Morning. When PBO writes his post presidency (SIGH) best seller, I hope he tells us how he is able to seem as fresh and energized at the end of the day as he does at the beginning. There seems to be some wellspring of youth inside of him that never dries up.

Thanks for posting the Letterman interview, what a lovely interaction between he and our perfect POTUS.. when does he not surpass everything he’s involved in?

Be careful what you wish for. The woman who fought for an official day to honor mothers, later hated the idea because it had become too commercial. She tried to kill it, but commercial interests had become too ingrained by then. One thing Americans never give up is an occasion that makes money.

Morning everyone! AH! I’ll say this. Just when you think that you just can’t love this POTUS anymore, he just goes and does something else:) I don’t need extra healthcare benefits now, but when his time is up, I may just need to make sure I’m covered for heartsickness…seriously.

On another note…yesterday morning the principal of my school came in and interrupted class to give me a very unexpected award! I was so surprised by it, it just took my breath away….Exemplary teacher that goes above and beyond….OMG. Best of all, I was nominated because of what a parent wrote. Just absolutely made my day!!

Loved watching The President with David Letterman. I’m all verklempt thinking about how much Dave has been a part of my life. And when Jan 20, 2017 rolls around, I’m just gonna be a basket case. 😩

Finally found vid of FLOTUS bringing The President’s Own United States Marine Band to pay tribute to Dave.
    Loved this!

That would be nice to see, yardarm. Good talk show hosts are hard to come by.

Although I’m happy to see Colbert taking over for Dave, I’ll miss The Colbert Report AND Dave so much. I’ve watched Dave all of my adult life. Love him!

    // ……………………………………..
“More than 20 years ago, the United States was forced to pull back from your country,” Kerry said in a video address to the Somali people, invoking the “Black Hawk Down” debacle when Somali militiamen shot down two US helicopters. “Now we are returning in collaboration with the international community and bearing high hopes but also mixed with ongoing concerns.”

I was really touched listening to President Obama at the β€œMy Brother’s Keeper” initiative. I think he will do ever greater things once he’s out of office.

    • May 5, 2015 at 10:20 am

Don I was really touch too, because when you listen to him talk about things like that you get the feeling that he really cares. He knows that on his journey there were people who help him along the way and he want to reach back and help others too. he and FLOTUS feel that way, these words that they would say in their speeches, “When you made it through that door, you don’t close the door you reach back and bring others through that door.” Some don’t give a darn once they have made it, but our President is not like that.

  26. May 5, 2015 at 10:08 am

You know you have reach the top when you are retiring and you get a visit from not only the First Lady, but the President. Last night on Letterman you can tell that Letterman has high respect for the President and First Lady. And as the President said it’s the same for them.

Just finished watching the Letterman show from last night. What a great show. Our President had the full hour and the respect and intelligent questions asked by Letterman will go down as the greatest in the archives. Loved it and Love our POTUS. πŸ™‚ And thank you for posting the clip of the President’s band with Michelle. I didn’t get to see her time on the Letterman show, so totally missed it. They were awesome. Thank God for TOD.

This is GIANT good news!! Take that! (to dopes squealing about the TPP) It is possible to expand manufacturing at home and expand trade opportunities abroad.
PBo bolsters what can be bolsters and accepts that some things—such as what China pays their workers—do not fall within our realm.

    Good Morning TOD

Remember the young man at UVA that was slammed to the ground leaving a bloody head….well, the investigation found that he was falsely arrested and was not intoxicated as the police report had stipulated.

This ish has got to STOP!
