He has made us all better people because of who he is and how he approaches the difficulties, criticisms, injustices and triumphs in his life. Lady Walmart’s people are showing their concern about NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio. Anthony Weiner went on local TV and complained about what he saw as a betrayal. “Bill,” said Anthony, “How could he not endorse HRC? Bill is ‘mishpucka’ (family in Yiddish.”)
Bob Shrum sneered and smirked about how unimportant de Blasio is.
Here are 2 reports about Bill in Iowa. Both are factually correct. You be the judge of which one came from Clintonland.
1) Bill de Blasio drew the biggest crowd ever seen at the Democrats meeting.
2) Only 350 people showed up at Dem meeting.
I think they are sweating Bill forays into the Midwest and the forums he has been holding for progressives from around the country. Sherrod Brown and Gov. Malloy,CT, among others have been attending and there is another one in DC soon.
It irritates me to no end that Hillary’s allies dismiss anyone who doesn’t endorse her right away. As if no other candidate was worthy of support.
I would accept a statement of disappointment. But this tone… the smears… this way of putting down anyone who doesn’t bow to her … This is EXACTLY why so many people were put off in 2008. And are put off right now.
I’m wondering… does this aggressiveness come from fear ? Maybe , deep down, they’re worried that Hillary’s support could collapse. Maybe they’re worried about a repeat of 2008. The democratic base falling in love again, with someone ELSE than Hillary… Worried that that an O’Malley or a Biden for example could gain traction, with the help of other charismatic leaders like Di Blasio …
They were traumatized by 2008. They thought it was in the bag. And they were hit by something big. An historic, irresistible wave of enthusiasm not seen since the sixties….

I live way downtown, on the West Side and helicopters are here too. meaning that whatever it is, is spreading rapidly.

So now instead of the catching-up time I’d envisioned he’s downstairs yapping with Friend #1. Ah, well, that’s life!

Did anyone just hear Rachel Maddow, she had some breaking news where something was leak to the Washington Post and it is said that a prisoner who was in the back of the van with Gray said that Gray was trying to hurt himself on purpose. So this is what the police come up with to get themselves off.
On Lawrence’s show (which I’m watching for the first time in months), another reporter is already half-debunking that story as “speculation.” It’s all so-called “leaks” or probably false information, as best I can tell.
