a.g. lynch (how nice to type that!) is such an impressive person. she should be president someday. republicans thought they could bully her and our president into submission and give up, but as always with those two, “we shall overcome.” what a great day!

The latest emoprog lunacy is that the public should be able to view it in real time, making their sage and informed(!) comments. Yeah, right.

Facebook had one of their stupid little tests to judge your level of education. All multiple choice. One of them was what “H20” was.

I got “PhD” based on these inane questions. I’d worry about my 8 year goddaughter if she didn’t know the answer to 80% of these questions. This is what passes for “education” in these United States in 2015.

But by all means, they are competent to view a complex trade agreement.

      Lunacy, I tell you.

One of the young men that I mentor is a beneficiary of PA’s medicaid expansion. As he was not eligible last year, he wasn’t going to apply this year. I hounded him, first privately, then publicly on FB. He called and thanked me the day he received his card.

Bernie Sanders Torpedos Republicans By Revealing GOP Budget Kills 2.3 Million Jobs

Sanders sent letters to the governors of all 50 states that broke down the cuts and job losses that each state would face if the Republican budget is enacted. The lowlight of the letters is that the Republican cuts to transportation, education, and other programs would kill more than 2.3 million jobs across the country.

Some of the hardest hit states would be those that have Republican governors. Texas would lose 193,000 jobs. Florida would lose 141,000 jobs. Ohio would lose 84,000 jobs. Georgia would lose 70,000 jobs. North Carolina would lose 68,000 jobs, and Wisconsin would lose 46,000 jobs.

    This shouldn’t be taken lightly…

The top ranking Republican in Congress privately acknowledged this weekend that his party doesn’t have enough votes to overcome a veto of any resolution disapproving the nuclear-weapons deal President Barack Obama hopes to reach with Iran. Speaking at an off-the-record event Saturday at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s meeting in Las Vegas, House Speaker John Boehner told the audience that he didn’t expect that more than two-thirds of Congress would vote to overturn a veto from Obama if Congress voted against a nuclear deal, according to four people who were inside the room for the private talk….continued

No surprise at all because so many of the Giant Fusses the GOP orchestrates are PR stunts catering to their neanderthal base.

Only the Cablers, MSM and those of little faith, thought otherwise.
Many here didn’t think Congress could……this explains why the Leak on GW Bush’s comments suddenly materialized. Why? The GOPers and the Media are wanting a defeat of the #IranDeal……..they want war. But they know that POTUS doesn’t bluff. So they tried with Netanyahu, Boehner, AIPAC, Media, Menendez, Schumer, Corker, etc……….But as POTUS said this weekend, #BUCK-ET!

      FORWARD!

There are enough Dems……to make sure in the senate that Pres Obama is able to sustain the Veto.

“Without considering the full picture of what ISIS is doing within its strongholds, it is, put simply, impossible to develop a counter-strategy. For instance, you can’t understand its expansion within Syria without appreciating the country’s bloody civil war, the brutal authoritarian regime and the complete breakdown of central authority. This, coupled with the deterioration of the country’s physical infrastructure and social fabric, created a vacuum and state of widespread insecurity that is like catnip for groups like ISIS. Armed struggle might have been the initial force that allowed it to rise to prominence, but its hybrid social-political work helps it to survive and expand.

This is why I strongly believe that to counter the rise of groups like ISIS, we need to think beyond the military realm. In Syria, that means recognizing that fighting has become one of the few occupations available to the beleaguered, impoverished population. Policies to tackle the pervasive and profoundly destabilizing human tragedy should be central to any anti-ISIS strategy. Understanding the day-to-day politics of rebellion and the complex activities of armed groups — regardless of their ideological or geographical focus — can truly help us to better understand these organizations, in turn making it easier to defeat them.”

      • April 28, 2015 at 9:00 pm

Here I am MightyPamela. I have been trying to find your email, and to no avail. I am so happy to find you you today. Something told me in my spirit to come here and start with today, and sure enough GGail asked the question. MightyPamela, to this day, I do not know what was in your email, but know that I am doing better. My brother and great niece had my computer the entire time they were here trying to get medical help for me.

I was admitted to ER by my cardiologist immediately on the 9th of March and my brother flew in the next evening and came straight to the hospital. My neighbor stayed with me until the hospital staff got me in a bed. When they got me in a bed; my blood pressure read 220 /Systolic.
They found me on the floor and into a seizure. They moved me to the bed next door, where my brother found me. After being given the medical facts by my primary doctor, my brother my immediately came into the room to visit with me. We talked briefly about my memory of what happened, and I had little. My primary doctor saw me daily, my cardiologist came in four times once it was established that it was not my heart. Then two other doctors came in on the team Details I will not worry my beautiful TOD family with at this time.

I have missed your all so much. I had over 1500 emails. So I just go to the computer when I feel quiet in my spirit. I was told that I had a pseudoseizures. I am sure Bob and other understand what took place. Now I am having an extensive evaluation prescribed by my primary doctor and I had my first visit with the doctor in charge of my case. Very good. Thank God for great doctors and a great ,great brother! And a beautiful great-niece who gave up her spring break from her job to take up where her great-uncle had to get back to his post. He even stayed way over his appointed time.

Please keep me in your thoughts of goodness and prayesr, my TOD family. I accept all of your loving thoughts.
MightyPamela, thank you my love for your email. I knew our spirits would come together sometime and soon.
        Love you all, TOD family.HZ

This is great – from EVP and COO of the Baltimore Orioles.

Brett, speaking only for myself, I agree with your point that the principle of peaceful, non-violent protest and the observance of the rule of law is of utmost importance in any society. MLK, Gandhi, Mandela and all great opposition leaders throughout history have always preached this precept. Further, it is critical that in any democracy, investigation must be completed and due process must be honored before any government or police members are judged responsible.

That said, my greater source of personal concern, outrage and sympathy beyond this particular case is focused neither upon one night’s property damage nor upon the acts, but is focused rather upon the past four-decade period during which an American political elite have shipped middle class and working class jobs away from Baltimore and cities and towns around the U.S. to third-world dictatorships like China and others, plunged tens of millions of good, hard-working Americans into economic devastation, and then followed that action around the nation by diminishing every American’s civil rights protections in order to control an unfairly impoverished population living under an ever-declining standard of living and suffering at the butt end of an ever-more militarized and aggressive surveillance state.

The innocent working families of all backgrounds whose lives and dreams have been cut short by excessive violence, surveillance, and other abuses of the Bill of Rights by government pay the true price, and ultimate price, and one that far exceeds the importances of any kids’ game played tonight, or ever, at Camden Yards. We need to keep in mind people are suffering and dying around the U.S., and while we are thankful no one was injured at Camden Yards, there is a far bigger picture for poor Americans in Baltimore and everywhere who don’t have jobs and are losing economic civil and legal rights, and this makes inconvenience at a ballgame irrelevant in light of the needless suffering government is inflicting upon ordinary Americans.

Daniel Pearl was beheaded in Pakistan in 2002 or in 2003.
There were two Americans, one was a Soldier beheaded in the early 2000s in Iraq.
In another case, 4 Contractors were killed and their bodies were mutilated and hung out in one city near Baghdad in 2004 or in 2005.
Fox is truly a Cancer in the News Media. The US News Media needs to reclaim their profession, Now. There were 13 attacks on US Embassies and Out Posts between 2001-2008…….all during GW Bush’s Regime.
Yet Untruths like these are aired Publicly and Nationally by a “News” Network?
