This weekend, the protest group No Somos Delito sent a parade of holographic protesters past Spain’s parliament building in Madrid in probably the most incredibly technologically advanced “screw you” move ever. The Madrid-based group, whose name translates to “We Are Not a Crime,” took to the streets and “marched” against having their right to protest taken away. An introductory video on the group’s website shows a woman explaining the group’s reason for action: “Ultimately, if you are a person, you won’t be allowed to express yourself freely. You will only be able to do it if you are a hologram.”

    So they did…

According to the Guardian, bills passed in March criminalize certain forms of protest, including demonstrations outside parliament buildings, which carries a €600,000-plus fine, and taking pictures of or insulting police officers. In a video posted by Ukraine Today, the scene outside the parliament building was made up of the holograms of 80 protesters speaking out against laws stifling freedom of expression and giving too much power to police. “I find it a good idea,” Alejandra De La Fuente, a protester, told Ukraine Today. “If the only way to demonstrate is in silence and with holograms, then we must do it this way. And I find it a very original way of demonstrating, given all that has happened.”..continued

“There used to be some debate about which NBA player is the league’s biggest Batman fan, but Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan has officially ended that discussion. Right before the playoffs, I took DeAndre to the Batman Exhibit at the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour Hollywood, and we surprised him with the new Batmobile and superhero suits from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, opening March 2016. Not only did DeAndre get the full Bruce Wayne treatment from his stylist, Paige Geran, but he was the first person outside Ben Affleck and the film crew to get inside the new Batmobile.”

The bipartisan Volcker Alliance was launched in 2013 to “address the challenge of effective execution of public policies and to help rebuild public trust in government,” according to the organization’s mission statement.

Its board includes Sheila Bair, a Republican former head of the FDIC under then-President George W. Bush, and Alice Rivlin, who has served as the vice chair of the Federal Reserve and a director of the Office of Budget and Management under former President Bill Clinton.

On a nature hike along Germany’s Baltic Coast in 1913, 20-year-old Richard Platz scrawled a note on a postcard, shoved it into a brown beer bottle, corked it and tossed it into the sea. Where it traveled, no one knows for sure, but it was pulled out of the Baltic Sea by a fisherman last month not far from where Platz first pitched it. It’s thought to be the world’s oldest message in a bottle.

The French news agency Agence France-Presse writes:

“A fisherman pulled the beer bottle with the scribbled message out of the Baltic off the northern city of Kiel last month, said Holger von Neuhoff of the International Maritime Museum in the northern port city of Hamburg.” ‘This is certainly the first time such an old message in a bottle was found, particularly with the bottle intact,’ he said.” Platz was identified as the author of the note, and a Berlin-based genealogical researcher then located 62-year-old Angela Erdmann, his granddaughter. Erdmann says she never met Platz, who was her mother’s father. He died in 1946 at age 54. Erdmann visited the museum last week and was able to hold the bottle. “That was a pretty moving moment,” she tells German news agency DPA. “Tears rolled down my cheeks.” “Von Neuhoff said a handwriting comparison with letters penned by Platz later in life confirmed that he was ‘without a doubt’ the author.

I just want to point out an example of the psych-ops the media engages in on a daily basis. Greg Sargent of the Washington Post has an article talking about a favorable poll the the ACA. He even states that there is a favorable trend in prior polls, BUT for some strange reason he is compelled to add “though that may not last”. He gives no reason for why it may not last, but I guess is contractually obligated to temper any good news with some negativity. In addition, he tells of GOP’s poll results concerning the law as well as that for Independents and Americans in general, but somehow forgot to include Dems’ polling results, so I guess Dems’ views don’t matter. This is subtle, but fact that we are bombarded every day with this brain washing, it has an effect on the thinking of too many Americans. Every issue is framed through the prism of the GOP, no matter who controls the White House or the composition of Congress.

Turner County High School in Ashburn, Georgia, Holds First Racially Integrated Prom

On April 21, 2007, Turner County High School students attended the school’s first racially integrated prom. Located in Ashburn, Georgia, a small, rural, peanut-farming town of 4400 residents, the school’s racial demographics reflected those of the local community: 55% black and 45% white. The prom theme, “Breakaway,” was chosen to signify a break from the tradition of privately-funded, separate “white” and “black” proms sponsored by parent groups.

Turner County High School’s class of 2007 also abandoned the “tradition” of electing both a white and a black homecoming queen. White parents still held a private, whites-only prom one week before the school-wide event and some parents refused to allow their children to attend the integrated prom. Principal Chad Stone, who is white, said he would not make efforts to end private proms for future classes but favored the integrated approach, “We already go to school together ? let’s start a tradition so that 20 years from now, this is no big deal at all.”

Sue, I am so glad for you that you are able to do what your heart has been yearning!
What a joy it is to wake up and know that your life has purpose and you are doing what we were created to do…..serve.
Because you a blessing others will be blessed.
Do not think it’s strange when you realize that those little ones are more a blessing to you than you to them.
That is when you will realize that everything else that you had to go through was a lesson to prepare you for what was to come.
I pray that in time you will forgive those who did not appreciate the gift you wanted to share. Let go of the past and continue to pray for them.
It is time for you to move on, move higher in love.

May God bless you and keep you.
May his light continue to shine upon you and give you peace.
