I’m so tired of hearing constant fear mongering about TPP. It just amazes me that these liberals really believe that President Obama will sellout workers and sovereignty. This man is from the Mid-west and helped and represented economically distressed communities. If it’s not TPP it’s drones. If it’s not drones then it’s something else.

In short, jziglar, they have to have something to gripe about, so when it doesn’t exist they make it up.

Meta, I am so sick of the pundits and Emos worshipping EW and crowning her as the middle class queen. PBO and others were fighting for the middle class before she came on the scene. I like her, but she is not the only one fighting for the middle class.

      • April 21, 2015 at 4:27 pm

I agree, COS. I’m glad to see PBO stepping up and expressing his opinion on all the resistance. I’m so completely furious at the lack of trust on the part of Dems in Congress. UGH.

Meta, I have actually stopped speaking to some Dems on this issue because they are so convinced that everything Elizabeth Warren says must be true and everything our President says must be false. I have just lost all patience with this kind of stupidity. These people bemoan the fact that Warren isn’t running for President because she would be nothing short of the Second Coming to them. Personally, I don’t think she’s qualified for the job. Yes, we have complete dunderheads running on the Republican side who don’t qualify for dog catcher, but Warren simply does not come anywhere near the standard of excellence that President Obama has set.

      • April 21, 2015 at 5:14 pm

Warren is a good person but she’s written herself into an emoprog role that ends up being quite limiting. It’s a one-note samba.
She’s so far out on a limb now on TPP, I don’t see her backing down. And there are a lot of other Dems who are following her lead. I can’t stand that PBO is questioned on this issue because he’s been fighting this fight for YEARS.

Reid is dead set against TPP as well. PBO is trying to bring our economy into the 21st C but I guess Reid prefers that future trade agreements languish in the nightmare of Congressional legislative purgatory. UGH.

Young 13 yr old finds a neat way to send a message to her dad who is at the International Space Station. Love conquers all, eh? Good for her! [Hyundai helped her get her message « Steph ♥ you ». ‘in the mail’. 😀 ]

Justice Department Honors 12 Individuals and Teams for Advancing Rights and Services for Crime Victims
Attorney General Eric Holder will preside over the National Crime Victims’ Rights Service Awards ceremony at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21. The event honors 12 individuals and programs for their extraordinary actions to bring positive and lasting changes in the lives of crime victims.

“The Department of Justice is proud to recognize the tremendous contributions of dedicated colleagues, passionate advocates and extraordinary partners in the field of victim services,” said Attorney General Eric Holder. “From safeguarding survivors of sexual violence to assisting victims of mass marketing fraud, the recipients of today’s awards have been instrumental in our nationwide effort to protect the most vulnerable among us, to prevent and combat crime, and to help victims find hope and seek justice.”

The department’s Office for Victims of Crime leads communities across the country in observing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week and hosts an award ceremony each year. President Reagan proclaimed the first Victims’ Rights Week in 1981, calling for greater sensitivity to the rights and needs of victims. For 2015, the week is observed from April 19 through 25, with the theme Engaging Communities. Empowering Victims.

I am not usually a violent person. But in 2011 during the GOP many debates…..I wanted Perry to face down Willard Romney when Romney touched Perry’s shoulder. Had Perry done that as this GOPer unfortunately did to this activist, Perry would have recovered from his Oops moment. Perry would still have been defeated, royally by POTUS in 2012.

Hi DD! I have this feeling that I responded to this already, but haven’t a clue where my answer went.

Anyhoo, glad to hear you’ve almost conquered your cold, and I was wondering if your little princesses will be living closer to you than before.

Also, sending blessings to the ‘young’ family that their home will be filled with love and laughter and lots of togetherness.
