Supervisors at the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office were ordered to falsify a reserve deputy’s training records, giving him credit for field training he never took and firearms certifications he should not have received, sources told the Tulsa World.
At least three of reserve deputy Robert Bates’ supervisors were
transferred after refusing to sign off on his state-required training,
multiple sources speaking on condition of anonymity told the World.
Bates,73, is accused of second-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of Eric Harris during an undercover operation on April 2.
The sources’ claims are corroborated by records, including a statement by Bates after the shooting, that he was certified as an advanced reserve deputy in 2007.
An attorney for Harris’ family also raised questions about the authenticity of Bates’ training records.
Additionally, Sheriff Stanley Glanz told a Tulsa radio station this week that Bates had been certified to use three weapons, including a revolver he fired at Harris. However, Glanz said the Sheriff’s Office has not been able to find the paperwork on those certifications.
The sheriff’s deputy that certified Bates has moved on to work for the Secret Service, Glanz said during the radio interview.

Yep. It won’t bring their loved one but there’s some checks with a lot of zeroes about to be written, some official’s heads rolling and some jail time soon come.
And the deputy that made the false certification and then moved on to work for the SS needs to be kicked out and brought up on charges.

Morning DF. Is Sadie left home alone yet?
Morning, GGail! Yes, she is…I have to go to work everyday, so she has to spend some time on her own:) I just shut her on one side of the house and give her her bed and toys and food/water. She only has to be alone for about 3 hours at a time because the school I work in is 2 minutes from my house and I come home everyday for lunch…works out pretty well. I take her out and play with her at lunch time and let her run in the yard…then, she’s fine when I put her back in the kitchen when I leave again to go back to work. My son is off work today, so he’ll be here with her….hubby home tomorrow, so he’ll be here all day with her:) He missed his girl…

As we know from other efforts to privatize things like our military and prisons, this would be disastrous for our vets and surprisingly for the US healthcare system overall.

Morning all! Some great and revealing photos up there! The Wounded Warriors Ride always brings cheers. On this day 34 years ago, my son abruptly came into the world 6 weeks early. He’s happy, healthy, and loving life in San Francisco. We’ll go celebrate his birthday this weekend.

When the first ACA enrollment period for 2014 ended and the Obama Administration planned to celebrate, Chelsea Clinton chose that very day to announce her pregnancy. 7 or 8 months to go but Only that day was the right day!!!
This time with excellent enrolment numbers and that announcement coming, HRC and a GOP sidekick—-I can’t recall who—-announced a particulary unnecessary bill to support S-CHIP.
Unnecessary because S-CHIP was part of the Medicare Doc fix which finally passed this week. So an unneccesary feel-good safe stance on something that was getting done anyway. Might as well come out strongly for the sun coming up tomorrow.
It doesn’t matter what Lady Walmart’s staff says on any topic.
All I need to do is watch what they are actually doing.
On TV they run away from discussing Obamacare unless they mention that 20 years ago HRC tried to do something about it. If you believe that carrying a 1300 page book around for a few weeks is trying, well, be my guest.

….i am now very conscious that what ever hits are made on any of the candidates…the GOP will magnify it after the primaries….so now when asked about any of the candidates i say that i will keep my options open and listen with an open mind…that does not mean that you cannot challenge their positions…but i am trying not to have a knee jerk reaction…… this is a CBS tweet…so of course the press will try to create drama where ever possible….by casting Gov O’Malley against Hillary Clinton it helps to reinforce that she is the one to be beaten…keeping the drama alive..

One of the many reasons I want either VP Biden or Gov OMalley to be our next President is that I’m confident that either of them would recognize the exceptional value PBO could bring to SCOTUS and they would offer him the opportunity for his consideration. My fondest dream for PBO’s future is that he becomes one of our greatest Supreme Court Justices.

Simple answer is Nope…….though the Constitution as it stands doesn’t address it since the 1940s. It’s like the Goldwater, G. Romney, McCain and Rafael Cruz affect. None of these issues have made it to the SCOTUS to render a decision.
But then again, if it was a GOPer, under this current Roberts Court? If R is following the last name……this SCOTUS would allow it. If it is a D, they will not.
No because the VP has to be ready to take over from the President; so since the president has already served 2 terms as president, if he had to take over, that would be a violation of the 22nd Amendment.
