MoooOOOooorning!
Hey Chips and TOD.
Hellooooooooooo COS, happy Wednesday to ya! Morning everyone!
Congrats on 1st, COS!
Congratulations to frequent winner COS! These photos make me so nostalgic, but my focus should still be on what can be done to support our President now and into the near future.
Happy Birthday to Arapaho!
Happy Birthday, Arapaho!
Mornin’, Chips, MightyPamela, and TODville! We got this.
Thanks, JO’B.
Late (as usual) to the party, but heck, it’s still Wednesday on the west coast!
As I recall, there’s lots of April birthdays here (including you?), which makes sense since there’s lots of June weddings. 😉
Hi, there! (My b-day is in October!) Hope you enjoyed it all!
Yes, Happy Birthday Arapaho!
Thanks, JF.
Appreciate your kind thoughts, and always look forward to hearing about your tireless efforts on behalf of Dems and climate change.
Hello, MP.
Thank you for the good tidings, much appreciated.
Glad to see you in good spirits, sorry to hear about the ailments/challenges you’ve been battling recently. But Dudette is right, Spring is here and you get to look forward to the long days that the North is blessed with.
Love that it’s still light at 10pm, but makes for exhausting days when you realize how late it is, and you haven’t had dinner yet. Love your long twilight summers, too.
G’morning Chips, TOD, lurkers, everyone, and congrats COS on #1! Happy Tuesday everyone 🙂
HF, the little boy with PBO on his t-shirt is great.
Bye y’all. Very pleased the Treasury had no problems accessing the funds transfer at midnight! Whew. Oh well, right? I love paying taxes when the money is used as it’s meant to be used and not just to pay for Lear jets for the too wealthy. Off this morn for an MRI on my neck. Back later hopefully with head still attached! ❤
Here’s to that! ❤
Never fails. I post and there is a new thread.
Good morning, again and I love seeing the Cuban’s enthusiasm just as much as I enjoyed the Iranian cheers.
Bravo, President Obama!!!!!!!!!!!
You’re here with us now, V! That’s what matters! 🙂
PBO’s bear hug pizza guy still serving the community in a big way!
“Eight members of the Independent Haitian Assembly of God church in Fort Pierce died this week as they traveled home from a Palm Sunday revival held on the west side of the State. In addition to those killed in the horrific crash, ten members of the church were injured, some critically. As the sun rose following the crash and in the days that have since passed, residents, churches and businesses of St. Lucie County, joined with many others from across the State with a strong desire to help the families affected by this Holy Week tragedy. Wednesday, April 15th, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Van Duzer Foundation, long known for its assistance for St. Lucie County families suffering from unforeseen tragedy and crisis, will be hosting an event titled “Eight Crosses”, which will be an evening of remembrance and celebration for the lives of the eight individuals who lost their lives
One hundred percent of all food and beverage sales, tips, and even staff salaries from the evening will be donated to assist the families involved in the crash. St. Lucie County Commissioner Tod Mowery and Pastor Esperant Lexine of the Independent Haitian Assembly of God, will administer all donations received to the families affected based upon an equitable distribution. Also partnering with the Van Duzer Foundation and Big Apple Pizza will be the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Lucie County Fire District, the Fort Pierce Police Department, the Port St. Lucie Police Department, Fort Pierce Mayor Linda Hudson, Port St. Lucie Mayor Greg Oravec, members of the St. Lucie County Commission, and a number of other individuals and organizations, all of whom have expressed a strong desire to assist in this time of grief and loss….”
BRAVO!
Morning, all 🙂
This is another health update. Not sure if y’all remember that I had to get an MRI to decide what other treatment I’ll need if any. Well, the results came back and it shows that I have a lot of the disease in the very, very, very low part of my spine and along my left leg. It explains why I’ve had more difficulty walking lately. I’ve scheduled an appointment with Radiation Oncology to discuss treatment. If something’s not dome, I may not be able to walk at all.
Doc also gave me a prescription for two more drugs. One is very new. Just six months on the market. It’s called Ibrance. It’s a chemotherapy drug that’s used to slow or stop the growth of cancer cells. Ladies and gents, this drug costs $12,075.95 for TWENTY ONE day supply. Thank goodness I have Medicaid. The other is Letrozole and is used to decrease my estrogen levels.
I’m just going to be a lump on a log for the next few days. Still paying for doing the dishes and cooking a few days ago. Unbelievable. SMH.
Oh, GoB, so sorry to hear of this new hurdle. I’m in shock about the cost of your drugs, it’s absolutely staggering. Our wish is that it works supremely well for you and we are all so very grateful that Medicaid is there for you and other Americans. Rest well. Sending you lots of love and comfort. XOXO.
For that much money, it better work. Thank you so much for your support. XOXO
Healing blessings to you!
Thank you very much, Bill!
Praying for your continue recovery GoB…i hope the new medicine helps you and allows you to walk…the cost for our medicines is obscene.. ((huggs))
Thanks, Prettyfoot. ((hugs))
((((gb)))
(((Desertflower)))
gobrooklyn, my prayers to you for strength to continue this journey that you’re on. Thank you for sharing with us so we can send out prayers and positive vibes to you. What a blessing it is that Medicaid is there to cover your expenses and that you’ve got doctors who are thinking and doing everything they can for you. {{{{{hugs}}}}}
Yes, very true. And thank you for the support. 🙂
{{{GoB}}} I don’t know what to say, except that you are always in my thoughts….always. May God give you the strength you need for this next stage and may the doctors, caregivers and family find the best combination of care and treatment for the best results for you!
Thanks, VC. Well said.
Keeping you in my thoughts, constantly, GB. Thank goodness for Medicaid!!!
Heck yeah! Thank goodness for Medicaid. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts.
I am so sorry for the pain you are in and at the same time grateful that you are able to get the medicine you need. Every person in this country would be able to do so if PBO had his way.
Hoping to hear about our improving health. Kisses.
Kisses and thank you VC. Will def keep you all updated.
Oh GoB, healing prayers and energy being sent your way. I am so thankful for this community that you are able to come and share your new burden. This is a very caring and loving community. Know that you are being lifted up by all of us.
Yes, Marilyn, I am so grateful for everyone here at TOD. And thank you for the kind words.
Wishing you the best GB as you continue to fight this disease and hoping that the new drugs will be effective in stopping the its progression. Sending you positive vibes for minimal pain and discomfort in the process. {{{{{GB}}}}}.
What everyone said. {{{{{{{{{{HUGS and good thoughts}}}}}}}}}}
Thanks, hopefruit. ((XOXO)))
GB Blessings. Keep up the fight. We are all in your corner.
Thank you, Joy. 😄
GoBrooklyn, coming out of “Lurk-mode” to tell you you’ve continuously been in my prayers. I admire your spunk and can-do attitude.
Love and hope to you, GoB, for continuing successful treatment. We love you!
I love you all, too!! Thank you so much.
Keep walking in the light, GoBrooklyn, and we will be with you.
Thanks, Judith 😉
Blessed be, gobrooklyn. I will hold you in my prayers and meditation….
I would love that, Pickle. Thank you so much.
GoB, I pray that you will overcome these new challenges. That drug cost is just absurd. GodSpeed ❤ ❤ ❤
Hey, RanMan. I hope I can get through this too. Thank you so much.
Sending good thoughts to you, gobrooklyn!
Hey, Sandy. I got ’em! Thank you. 🙂
Keep hanging in there, GB. You’ve got what it takes for the long-haul.
I will, edp, and thank you very much.
GOB you stay in my prayers. I hope things improve for you and that the meds make a difference for your quality of life. Stay Strong!!
Thanks, Donna. 🙂
{{GoB}}, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Thank God you have Medicaid, and that this drug is covered. I can’t imagine drugs costing this much and not being able to get it, because you can’t afford it.
Thank you, SJ! Looking at that price made me even more furious at people who wanted to block Obamacare.
Dear {{{{{{ GB }}}}}, I’m so sorry to hear about the latest news. Good gracious! Thank goodness you have Medicaid to cover the new medicine indeed! Sending you love and hugs and wishes for your success and relief as your treatment moves forward.
Ohhhh….thank you, Dudette.
((( GB )))
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but know that you’re a warrior and a true battler against whatever obstacles come your way.
Know that TODville’s energy, in all time zones, is with you always — you’ll feel our presence and our collective strength whenever you need a thought or two to help in any way to remind you of how much you are truly cherished, loved and appreciated.
I’ll repeat myself to say that tweets from you and @JeffersonObama helped me keep my sanity during the 2012 campaign cheerleading by the despicable MSM.
P.S. – Cannot believe the unlimited pricetags Big Pharma can place on human health care. We need this generation’s Jonas Salk to remind us of the good that doctors and medicine can do for humanity. Unbelievable, and thank God for Obamacare, Dems and Medicaid.
Endless energy and strength to you, ((( GB ))).
Thank you, arapaho for this beautiful message. Much needed at this time.
Yes, the price tag for medicine these days is ridiculous. It just seems so evil to me.
i am so impressed by these workers…and SEIU….May they know victory…
THIS THIS THIS
This is so on point…
the GOP see poverty as a character flaw!
A quick good day to all TODers!!!
Congrats COS 🙂
Lovely Tax Day R&S, Chips!! TY!

🙂
This is an astonishing achievement. Let’s hope it’s under control.
Very good read:
This and Spandan’s take on what was passed yesterday makes me cautiously optimistic.
Yes. The whole process is extremely fragile and it’s a shame that Congress has to insert themselves because they feel so powerless.
Meta and Judith, I agree—good articles.
if anyone wants a very short version of this please see my comments. Next to last on the Early Bird Chat.
To summarize: NY Times and Peter Baker are paid to lie and in this case the lies are more of the ommision kind.
Corker and others rendered impotent by the deal they are proclaiming is a win for them.
The main page graphic at DU is important. Can someone tweet that and bring it here? Thanks
The obstruction is calling for extrordinary measures
Prettyfoot this is my reply to you on the last post regarding GOP bringing Loretta Lynch’s AG nomination up for a vote:
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
Prettyfoot, I agree with you that the reckless GOP are not going to confirm Loretta Lynch for US AG. Repubs really hate President Obama and will do anything to obstruct him.
Remember, on the newly elected POTUS inauguration night Jan-20-2009, 15 US congressional elected officials, plotted to obstruction and destroy President Obama, thus USA during the onset of the worst financial crisis since the “great depression”. You think the give a-shit-now?!
Please explain to me how this can happen. Dragging it out, that I get. GOP MO.
But no vote? Never?
Since the reckless GOP control the Senate, thus they control the legislative schedule. All the reckless behavior the GOP has demonstrated over the last 6-plus-years (e.g., Dept-limit down-grade, government-shut-down, use of filibuster to prevent PBO from feeling his cabinet, etc) I can’t believe that people still think the Repubs gives-a-shit. Seriously; Seriously?!
GoBrooklyn, I’ll keep you in my prayers. Hang in strong.
Gobrooklyn, you have had so many trials and I admire your strength, courage, determination, and endurance. May God’s will be done in your life. Healing blessings to you. Much love to you.
I see that #ObamaTownHall is trending on Twitter.
BlogHer is a huge community that’s been around for several years. I’m sure they’re all tuned in!
She is attending the Town Hall. 🙂
The PUMAs and emoprogs need to learn that lesson most of all.
Heads up
