When health insurance became available through Healthcare.gov last year, Theresa had her doubts about the Affordable Care Act (ACA). As a fiercely independent small business owner — and a Republican — the only news she saw about Obamacare was negative. Theresa says she’s grateful she didn’t listen to the people who told her Obamacare was “bullsh*t.” Through Healthcare.gov, she found a Silver plan for just $94 per month, with the help of tax credits. About six years ago, Theresa had polyps on her vocal cords and her doctor told her if she didn’t have surgery she could choke on them or bleed to death. Plus, there was a chance the polyps could turn cancerous.
Theresa didn’t have a choice, but without insurance her surgeons demanded payment in advance. She says the surgery and subsequent care cost her “tens of thousands of dollars.” Fortunately, starting in January 2015 Theresa will have health insurance that’s accepted by all her doctors, with a $700 annual deductible and $1,450 out-of-pocket maximum limit. It will cost her just a $20 co-pay to see her primary physician and $50 to see a specialist. She can’t wait to schedule all her check-ups, including the necessary follow-up on the remaining polyps she couldn’t afford to have removed.

Before I went out today I wrote that Bill de Blasio said he was waiting for HRC’s platform and stance on issues before he endorsed her.
I got this news on my local station. I didn’t realize until I returned home and opened my computer that the remarks were made on Meet The Press.
I find this shocking.
Also shocking was the nasty defensive tweets from Hilary Rosen.
Imagine if PBO reacted to everything as if it was an existential threat? With us or against us. This small blip on the screen is not a good sign of a campaign fought on issues.

I have been listening to the MSM saying that PBO has *endorsed* HRC for President. Did he really endorse her or did he just list some attributes that would make a good candidate and potentially a good POTUS?
I doubt that PBO would say anything negative about HRC or any other potential democratic candidate. You don’t want to give the GOP (or any other opponents) ammunition for the general election. [That’s pretty much what happened with the GOP during the 2012 primaries.]

I wondered what it signified that HRC placed her headquarters in B’Klyn, de Blasio’s home and Progressive turf. Apparently the Mayor is not thrilled with this.

Why on earth would anyone come out rallying around a candidate, any candidate, without knowing who else might be running? That is madness, I feel. Without a doubt there is a brainwashing effort going on here, but PBO has been very effective with helping all of us understand how much we each matter, how much we MUST think for ourselves and not buy into the hype. It is all hype right now, and is going to be hype for many months. For many of these rich white folks, it’s all a game, our lives are a game. No more. Those days are passed, President Obama has set the bar for Leadership so high, they will all be standing on each others shoulders to try and grab onto it. Of course he is not going to endorse anyone, that would lead to an enormous shitfight, and he knows it all too well. Why on earth would he even think to get into it with anyone. He has work to do, he is living up to his commitment to his work, to his office. He did not run all those years ago because his heart wasn’t in it, or because he thought it would be cool to be the first AA president. Not a single one of them gets who he is, even after all these years. That is mind boggling to me. Never have we seen someone as open minded and open hearted as Barack Hussein Obama, someone who has nothing to hide and who has brought his all to our country and our world. I googled your google – seems every thing was tried to get Hillary over the line – PBO has had to fight all sides to get where he is – but I think he knew that. He has done wonders for the US despite ALL political parties and the media. I cannot imagine the US after his term is gone. No words.
I can still remember thinking the US democrats were crazy giving their choice between a women and a non-white guy for President. In my wildest dreams I never thought the people of the US would vote for other than an old white guy. I am so glad that I was proven completely and decisively wrong.
