No mention of PBO or Cuba or American Summit that I can see on C-SPAN.
You can view, however, a feature about Laura Bush as First Lady.

    • April 10, 2015 at 5:29 pm

Oh YEEEEPEEE! We were all just dying here to see that CSPAN feature about former First Lady, weren’t we?!?!?!? Vicki I know you were about to drop everything you were doing and rush to CSPIN for such an important program! I’m right behind ya!

For those that thinking voting doesn’t matter, MN gov mark dayton (DFL) has been killing it lately. He is putting the pedal down to the floor to keep MN momentum going into the future. the difference between MN and our next door nieghbors in WI should be required reading when anyone says that voting doesn’t matter

    http://www.mprnews.org/story/2015/04/08/dayton-priorities

      April 10, 2015 at 3:47 pm

just a brief summary, we have a budget suprlus in MN vs deficit in WI. Gov Dayton is looking to invest that surplus into education such as Pre-k for all. WI is cutting $300 million from UofW colleges. Gov dayton signed marriage equility into law, WI the opposite. Gov dayton expanded medicare and has been working hard on the ACA exchanges (not always without bumps). WI has denied access to healthcare to thousands. etc etc etc

        April 10, 2015 at 4:38 pm

        Now thats how you Gov!
ā€œDuring the remaining six weeks of this legislative session, we will face our own moments of truth,ā€ Dayton said in the first State of the State speech of his second term. ā€œWill we do what is easy, safe and popular? Or will we risk our political lives to preserve this great state for future generations?ā€

        http://www.startribune.com/politics/statelocal/299276311.html

Naturally the GOP would like to give this $$ to rich people and corps, rather than spending on kids, jobs and infrastructure. that national GOP mantra will NOT fly in MN as they will find out in 2016.

Just don’t do what Maryland did and allow a Republican to take over and un-do everything. Before Dayton, MN bridges were falling down and killing people but they re-elected that asshole Governor. I will not sit by and allow CA to be run by another Republican as long as I am living, breathing, talking and walking.

Hear hear JoJo! I don’t see it happening, but you never know. our state DFL party structure sometimes leaves me scratching my head at who they promote as candidates, but usually very solid. With such a strong contrast next door, i just don’t see MN going R anytime soon. plus Gov Dayton still has 3.5 yrs left i believe or so.

I also cannot believe MD elected an R to follow up such a fab gov as o’malley. Voting matters!

Interesting tidbit from Mark Caputo , reporter from Miami.

Once Cuba is off the Terror Supporter list, Cuban people coming to the US will no longer get a free pass to citizenship and would have to apply like anyone else.

    hmmm…….

      April 10, 2015 at 5:06 pm

Truthfully, I had forgotten about that. I believe if they made it to our shore without being turned back, they could stay.

      • 66 Linda
        April 10, 2015 at 5:36 pm

        oh look….another Clinton screw up.

The wet foot, dry foot policy is the name given to a consequence of the 1995 revision of the Cuban Adjustment Act of 1966 that essentially says that anyone who fled Cuba and entered the United States would be allowed to pursue residency a year later.

After talks with the Cuban government, the Clinton administration came to an agreement with Cuba that it would stop admitting people found at sea. Since then, in what has become known as the “Wet foot, Dry foot” policy, a Cuban caught on the waters between the two nations (with “wet feet”) would summarily be sent home or to a third country.

One who makes it to shore (“dry feet”) gets a chance to remain in the United States, and later would qualify for expedited “legal permanent resident” status and eventually U.S. citizenship

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet_feet,_dry_feet_policy

I still argue with people who insist Bill Clinton was a ” Great President “. When I insist to be told why, all they can come up with is
        ” Everybody had money then.”

        • 67 jacquelineoboomer
          April 10, 2015 at 5:44 pm

Another totally inhumane policy, masquerading as humane, in my book, like DADT. I’ve seen some of the video footage where the Cuban exiles are sent back. Who are we as a nation at this point? Of course, at any point, but we’re still legalizing crap like this.

          Clintons Begone!

    • April 10, 2015 at 5:09 pm

      Linda, I support that 100%.

    • April 10, 2015 at 5:18 pm

  23. 71 jacquelineoboomer
    April 10, 2015 at 5:04 pm

Not so fast, Mrs. Clinton. As I unsubscribed, here was my comment to her PAC’s unsolicited e-mail to me (which I’m guessing many of you received, too):

“Only HRC would get the e-mail addresses of Dems to send campaign stuff w/o asking. NO THANKS. NOT READY for Hillary. #RidinWithBiden”

    • 72 MightyPamela
      April 10, 2015 at 5:12 pm

Hear, Hear. She turned up in my SPAM folder a while ago, and I unsubscribed fast. I also let OFA know that if a bunch of her junk mail started turning up, or they start pushing her, I will carefully rethink my position on OFA. The only way she will get my vote is if PBO endorses her and she wins the nomination. But I do not believe she will win it, I think she is a losing prospect. She will learn, as did Myth, and as will all the other wankers, money can’t buy you love, or votes. Or the WH. (I hope.) #eversotiredofhillary

    • April 10, 2015 at 5:12 pm

I just got this and I’m furious. First of all, I’ve never signed up for Ready for Hillary and I’m offended that they just think we’re going to fall in line. Second, in the email that represents her campaign is a big fat quote from Jim Freakin’ Carville asking me for money. I cannot stand that disgusting creep.

Needless to say, I unsubscribed with my thoughts as well.

      • 77 jacquelineoboomer
        April 10, 2015 at 5:41 pm

I didn’t even get as far as the Jim Freakin’ Carville quote – didn’t they ditch him during her last campaign? and now he’s hot stuff? YUCK. ARGHH. Enough.

      • 78 jackiegrumbacher
        April 10, 2015 at 5:49 pm

Carville is the kiss of death of any campaign. Just his name is a complete turnoff. Can’t believe Hillary and her staff don’t realize this.

22,000 plus traffic stops in North Charleston, SC

16,000 plus were African American and 10,000 plus were AA men.

  30. 90 Vicki
    April 10, 2015 at 5:43 pm

I had Ed on for a few minutes as he chatted with Michael Steele and others and here is one of the HRC talking points, If I understood correctly:
“Big Speeches and big crowds are so 90’s. The Clinton campaign is going to be using social media and conversations with small groups.”

My translation: “Very few people came out to meet HRC and sign her book. We are going to limit public exposure of our lack of popular appeal.”

Nobody on MSNBC has uttered the words Joe Biden unless it was to laugh at his supposed gaffes, at least not in recent memory.
TOD seems to be the only place keeping this hope alive. Can this be???

    • 91 jackiegrumbacher
      April 10, 2015 at 5:55 pm

Vicki, Joe Biden said he would make his decision this summer and I trust that he’ll keep his word and we’ll have to abide by his decision. If he is running, I think the strategy of keeping it under the radar is a good one. He’ll get no help from the media, so why give them fodder for their stupidity ahead of time.

      • 92 Vicki
        April 10, 2015 at 6:01 pm

        Good points, jackie.
maybe he wants HRC to self-destruct or have us tire of her before he states his case.

        • April 10, 2015 at 6:29 pm

Vicki, I think your hypothesis is valid. And, I think we will see it tested.

Smartest move by VP Biden (and his ardent supporters) is to allow Hill and Bill to get in the mud with the crazies on the right.

He can then emerge as the next ‘adult in the room’ (which he assuredly is) and leverage all of the Clinton foolishness (of which copious amounts will be documented on YouTube and Twitter).

    • April 10, 2015 at 5:55 pm

Usually, when Democrats vote, Democrats win. Unfortunately, we have a problem voting. This is one thing that scares me. Inspiring democrats to vote is very important. This is why, I hope they do not try to distant themselves from PBO, and use FLOTUS and PBO as much as possible, if he is allowed.

  33. 102 jackiegrumbacher

  34. 103 Vicki

And a final thought on this candidacy——HRC is a boring speaker and her crowds would mirror Mitt’s and McCain’s. When Mitt bused people in, the media mentioned it but didn’t destroy him. If HRC does that—OMG—can you imageine? Media will talk about nothing else for months.
Joe Biden is a much better bet.
    however,
Dems setting up a loss. Again. Same sinking feeling I had about Alison L. Grimes,

Stacey Doss, Kayleb’s mother and the daughter of a police officer herself, was outraged. Educators stood by, she said, while the cop took her son in handcuffs to juvenile court. The officer filed a second misdemeanor disorderly conduct complaint. And he also submitted another charge, a very grown-up charge for a very small boy: felony assault on a police officer. That charge was filed, Doss said the officer told her, because Kayleb ā€œfought back.ā€
