🙂
Ah, just a fantastic compilation Nerdy, so much news I hadn’t seen. As if we didn’t know it already, the police are out of ****ing control.
You’re welcome.
Looks like the Middle Ages to me, but for the photography. How far we’ve all come, “loving one another,” no matter the religion or status.
MTMarilyn spoke on the last thread about some “sane republicans” passing the medicaid expansion in Montana – I love how some justified their vote
“The only thing this has to do with Obamacare is it’s the same pool of money,” she said. “This isn’t Obamacare.” – hahahahahahaha
http://www.greatfallstribune.com/story/news/local/2015/04/09/house-passes-medicaid-expansion/25548651/
Now back to a belated read of NW’s tweets
It is very sad the hatred for Obama here in MT. Today I am not going to fight them over their hatred. I have friends who are finally going to get help. One of my many jobs is in a bar where the owner also owns several restaurants. I heard he was cutting his hours so I asked him why. He said it.was because of Obamacare. I had to turn and walk away. I am not in a place to fight him yet. Needless to say I won’t be going into any of his restaurants, but I want to keep my job at the bar. MT is a very purple state.
Hi Marilyn – it is a delight that your state has expanded medicaid – regardless of what is said about it.
I do understand the “walking away”. I have a very close relative who is at the opposite end of the political spectrum to me. We have had to agree NOT to discuss it – because the vitriol in the conversations was heading towards where we didn’t want to be.
It is very tough here to be so strong of an Obama supporter. Anyone who really knows us or comes to our house knows this, but I work in so many different places and with so many TPers I have learned to deal with it. I have told they there will be no bashing of anyone in front of me, I won’t argue but I won’t take any abuse either. It is so hard for me to understand the hatred. That’s why this place is such a heaven for all of us. Have a beautiful weekend.
Cool. That’s Nnamdi Asomugha’s (Kerry Washington’s husband) foundation.
Ah, I didn’t realize that Nerdy, excellent!

Oh poor baby. Looks like he’s behind bars, at last, in a jumpsuit. Remind me to care one iota.
This calls for a celebratory hair-washing!! 🙂
Ha. Or two! I’ll be so busy. 🙂
When I first joined Twitter a few years ago I had no idea what I was doing and ventured to the dark side to see what they were saying. OMG, this creep was insane with vulgarity and hate. So glad to see him behind bars.
He was the worst of the worst Forus, an out of control seething-with-hate maniac. It’s no surprise at all that he was as ugly in real life as he was on Twitter.
Lincoln Chafee might be running for President, he is on Lawrence O’Donnell talking. So it seem Hillary might get some challengers.
repub turned indie turned dem. yeah, that’s the ticket.
One thing for sure, he will not hesitate to trash talk HRC.
I always liked him a lot. He seems to have the courage of his convictions and I don’t diss him for once being a republican back when they weren’t all tea partiers and knowing that his father was a republican senator. Frankly he’s always been more of a democrat in social and economic beliefs than a lot of the dem blue dogs or corporate dems. If you look at his wiki page, he was the only republican to support Clinton’s tax increase. He’s for gun control, pro-choice, member of the Sierra Club and voted the #1 RINO and opposed Bush’s Bolton nomination. And has been a vocal supporter of POTUS since 2008.
Totally agree, forus. I was being ‘snarky’ with Mr amk 😉
Maybe we shouldn’t call her President Clinton just yet.
I saw that, it reminded me of the beating of Rodney King. I ask the same question NW, what the hell is wrong with these police men?
This new video released change nothing in my opinion, Walter Scott should not have been kill.

I really would like for VP Biden to be the next President. He is qualified in every form and we know where he stands on the issues. He is just as honest as PBO. That’s why they work so well together.
Fingers crossed, COS! I’d smile through at least another four years!

I know some of you follow Feminista Jones on Twitter, have to say I’m not a fan at all – I just think she’s extremely nasty, a bully, an ego-maniac and not half as smart as she thinks she is. She’s a cliche machine. But I kinda agreed with her when she went after me for tweeting this (not sure if her snark about ‘white liberals’ was directed at me or the cartoonist (who is Mexican-American), and don’t care much, to be honest). She drew attention to the guy with the camera in the toon being white, another “white savior”. And I didn’t even notice that, which probably says a lot about me. Wasn’t the guy who filmed the murder of Walter Scott African American? It’s interesting, then, that a ‘liberal’ ‘non-African American’ cartoonist instinctively draws the ‘savior’ in his work as white.
I think the camera holder could have been black, white or orange – I see the overall message is the important part. I would hope that anyone of any color would take the opportunity to video any type of police violence or injustice, if possible. I would rather that the message go out that we’re all responsible for keeping each other safe – not just black people keeping black people safe. My two cents.
Mike Huckabee might be an idiot – why on earth is Zeke Miller tweeting about him???? Says more about the tweeter than it does about the idiot.
The day TIME hired that BuzzFeed shill was the day TIME died. Actually, it was probably dead long before that!
We’ve had a rather horrific murder in a small town in NSW – Our Murdoch owned newspaper had a pun in the headline – related to the fact she was due to be married in a week. The demise of print media has brought out the absolute worst in those who live by same
Was that the ‘Bride and Seek’ headline 99ts? Just read about that tonight. My gawd, the industry is populated by the scum of the earth.
It was – scum is the right word – we had that paper delivered for many years – cancelled about 5 years ago when the front page turned into a gossip rag.
Shit, since I first posted this tweet a few hours ago, The Boston Globe totally changed a portion of what they had written. I wish I had copied it! The original story that I tweeted was “bullshit” said that there was a gap between the two videos (which is true). But The Globe article then went on to say that “most likely there was a scuffle for the Taser”. That line is now totally gone from their article other than to phrase it as being what the cop said. They must have received some other comments about their biased assumptions written into their story.
My brother was pulled over while driving a Mercedes – the excuse was that he ‘fit the profile’ of someone being sought.
aaand, I’m outta here.
Rand Paul’s campaign slogan is “Join with us to defeat the Washington machine and Unleash the American Dream”. LOL! That’s just weird. Never heard of describing a dream as being “unleashed”! And then I keep reading it as defeating the washing machine.
“I keep reading it as defeating the washing machine”
Well Forus, after my struggles with a malfunctioning washing machine yesterday, if that is Rand Paul’s campaign slogan – GO RAND!1!1! 🙂
Chips, I must say I got a kick out of Rachel exposing Paul tonight on her show. I heard that he is only 5’2″. I don’t know why these losers think that they can be President of anything; especially of the free world.
Crikey, is he that small COS???
Ah, he’s 5’8″ – “he’d be the shortest major party nominee since 1988, when Democrat Michael Dukakis also measured in at 5-feet-8-inches tall”. I had no clue!

Either way, he is a little turd. 🙂 🙂
😆 Yes he flippin’ is!!!
LOLz!! GAH, he’s a shrimp!!
I wonder how tall Rubio is……….
Every GOP contender is running to become the top government person in Washington – but they ALL want to defeat Washington – no courage of their convictions at all
They embody the very thing that is wrong with Washington. Heaven help us.
Hee! “Oh Rand, oh you randy man, my washing machine is broken again! Can you come by with your little toolbox?”
Hey Everybody! 😀
Hellooooooooooooooooooooooo Dame Delectable!!!!
Coolest President EVER! 🙂
Check out the note The President signed for Shelly! ❤

ooops, sorry…..didn’t mean to post this again……
needs to be seen a million times meta – no problem with twice
Oh how clevah – “en route to Iowa,” whatever that means, via social media.
My hair feels itchy.
I can barely break a yawn ……
Kind of like the mother of all Trying Too Hard.
yup
My sister just called me about this and I said she has my vote if she ends up being the Dem nominee. Other than that she doesn’t exist for me.
Greetings Massive! 😀
Excerpts from the Town Hall by The Jamaica Gleaner; also with reaction from some of the attendees including Shelly-Ann)
I know this disappointment. It’s okay, family. Maybe next time. Irie!
Perks! 🙂
YOU get a plane, and YOU get a plane, and YOU get a plane…. everybody gets a plane! 😀
And while the President is sorting out the world – Jindal, Perry and Huckabee are heading to an NRA event – seriously!! – And this media clown thinks it is newsworthy
I’m glad we’re on the same side, meta. That made me laugh!
🙂
Did yellow-suited PM try to get on the plane with him? Asking for a friend.
🙂
Well, ya know she did need a ride to Panama and since he was going that way… 😉
I wondered about that, after I posted my little question. Good luck, Mr. President! 🙂
Hahaha! He’ll be alright! He knows Michelle’s watching. So does yellow-suited PM! 🙂
Ha. Definitely! She was takin’ her chance, and he was smiling about it, so I’m guessing so will Michelle. We’ll never know!
US and Cuba hold highest-level meeting in over 50 years.
US Secretary of State John Kerry and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez have held talks, in the highest level meeting between the two countries in more than half a century.
The two held closed-door discussions after arriving in Panama for a summit.
Meanwhile, the US State Department has reportedly recommended that Cuba is removed from its list of states said to sponsor terrorism.
Such a move could pave the way for the two countries re-opening embassies.
US President Barack Obama and Cuban leader Raul Castro are also due to hold their first formal meeting at the Summit of the Americas in Panama over the coming days.

rubio’s duncehead essploded yet?
The President’s actions are such a clear indication that this country has been fueled by idiotic hate and fear for so long, that a simple act of saying “enough!” can correct decades of nonsense…
X 500% theo – while the GOP pretenders are attending NRA event, PBO is sorting out the world with peace initiatives.
…”leader of the free world” is right.
Hey! There are other people still here? Howdy family! 😀
Hi Dudette – the lul before dinner prep in my town. Birthday dinner for Mr 99 tonight with grandbabe and her mother – the Australian favorite “roast lamb” 🙂 🙂
Great thread on all things PBO
Well Hi There, Fellow-Lover-of-9s! 🙂
Yum! Sounds like a deliciously wonderful day is in the works! Big breath-stealing celebratory hugs you and Mr. 99! Enjoy the lamb!
Need a few good chuckles? You’ve gotta check out some of these tweets in this #AstronautProblems TL! Hilarious!
It’s been trending so well, @NASA decided to get it on it! 😀
Happy Birthday to Mr. 99ts! 😀
Hehehehehe – thanks Dudette. When about 12 I once stayed with a friend who had a pet cockatoo. I woke in the middle of the night to hear someone saying “hello, how are you” & almost passed out with fear. Was said bird!
😀 😀 😀

JUST NOW: “I’m for Hilary Clinton” – Warren Buffett
***
“Well, I’m for the tooth fairy, but I don’t want him/her to be President.” – Me
Well said.
Ha. I didn’t even notice if there were a story connected to it, but let’s just say she asked, “Are you for Hillary Clinton?” … well, what else would a gentleman answer?
Indeed – the tweet was like she’d been endorsed by God himself. I had to restrain myself from responding.
🙂
🙂 Lots of night owls on TOD this evening
I didn’t get out of bed until noon, today, so it’s like early evening to me! And in retirementland, we have no set hours!
But, alas, I think I’m ready now to bid TODville goodnight.
g’nite JoB – definite joy of retirement – sleep whenever – I’m big on afternoon naps – never did understand why we didn’t embrace mid afternoon siestas at the work place.
Nightie-Night job! 🙂
Really, if you can’t hum “Major Tom” while up in the Space Station, then when can you?
😀
These folks started it! Check out the show sometime. Very funny!
Good Night, Good Morning, and Good Day! 🙂
Mooooooorning!
