F/Y/I Sen. Warren’s twitter feed has no mention of Iran. Definitely NOT a Pres. candidate.

I like EW, but she’s too one-note-ish for me.

However, was thinking if Joe Biden runs, he might ask her to be his VP running mate. I could get behind that.

Totally in agreement with you about EW, Jacqueline. She is not interested in running for president, but people like Rachel and others are really pushing it.

You know you are right about Joe at the top with Elizabeth under. Joe is great for foreign relations and all areas for experience, knowledge and continuing PBO’s policies. He has direct experience with PBO for using the VP EW’s economic expertise. However, I do like having EW in the Senate to takeover Ted Kennedy’s old Lion of the Senate role.

OG – I’m with you – I much prefer having EW remain in the Senate – but if folks convinced her to run, I’d rather it be in the VP slot! I’m Ridin’ with Biden (assuming he runs!). We shall see.

After listening to Sen Warren on Rachel Maddow this week and as much as I want her to get into the race; I’ve come to the conclusion, that she is not ready for that high profile engagement.

Just checking in, before spending a few hours sitting with Jesus this afternoon! Not to joke, although I’m pretty sure God has a sense of humor, but I used to amaze my friends when I was still working by turning down all offers of happy hour after work on Good Friday. You shoulda seen the stunned looks.

Later. Love ya all; love President Obama.

After reading this article I’m even more impressed at what the P5+1 and the European Union were able to extract from Iran. Basically we’re taking them out of the weapons business and putting them is a business that will open their country up to the world and help them become global partners. And the money that they will get from their oil production will help their country even more. But hey, some pizza shop in Indiana doesn’t want to cater gay weddings.

      • April 3, 2015 at 3:23 pm

“Basically we’re taking them out of the weapons business and putting them is a business that will open their country up to the world and help them become global partners.”

        Exactly, Don.

And, an amazing achievement just to get this far, to say the least!!!

        • April 3, 2015 at 3:53 pm

This is exactly what he neo-cons and bibi nut-n-yahoo are so afraid of. Amurikkka and israel won’t get to boom them back to the 18th century and we’ll have to only get our oil from the Saudis.

    Hahahahaha In advance.

Because we know that GOP and Media will pretend that they can stop the Iran deal from being completed.
They can’t. All the bills Corker can come up with and tantrums held will come to nothing.
But the usual losers will be loud and insistent.

If you feel like you are falling for the nonsense just remember Lawrence O’Donnell amongst others saying Obamacare was “dead on arrival.”

      April 3, 2015 at 2:55 pm

Vicki, I remember exactly when he said it. But what frost my sack the most is the fact that O’Donnell and rest of these fuckers know goddamn well that President Obama is a once in a lifetime President, and they go about ho-humming every seemingly impossible thing that he accomplishes as though any President could have done what President Obama has done. But now you hear complete silence from everyone included that fuck-face Howard Dean; Mr. 50 state himself. If that fucker had any sense he wouldn’t let the GOP gangbang his ass, and good luck with Hillary and her server. It’s going to be a joy watching Bill struggle to keep his semi erect dick in his pants once the election season gears up. These sorry fuckers have worked my last nerve. I am completely done with all these fuckers, ALL OF THEM!!!!!

Don, I feel your frustration but what we both want is for a leader to emerge who honors the work PBO has done and will carry on the legacy, right?

Sooner or later HRC will announce and then I hope we will see another announcement or two that we can get behind wholeheartedly.

The wonderful Charles Pierce on my twit of a senator, Mark Kirk’s response to the Iran deal:

“Munich! Mushroom clouds! One aluminum tube and Kirk would have had neocon Bingo”.

As usual, Pierce does a brilliant job. While the subject was Mark Kirk, it could have been any one of the Republican senators and I’m not too crazy about the comments from weak-kneed Dems either. I’m sure all of this was anticipated by PBO and he will go about healing the world with or without the wagon train of Congressional dweebs behind him.

    http://www.mlive.com/business/west-michigan/index.ssf/2015/04/jc_huizenga_giving_employees_n.html

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — For the second time, J.C. Huizenga has surprised employees by sharing his profits from the sale of a company.

In March, he sold off Holland-based J.R. Automation and its smaller sister company, Stevensville-based Dane Systems, to an investment firm.

After the sale, parent company Huizenga Automation Group gave thank you bonuses to the employees at the two West Michigan factories.

The bonuses ranged from $500 for new employees to more than $50,000 for those who had worked at the company the longest, Huizenga told MLive and The Grand Rapids Press.

“In the letter I sent to the employees, I reminded them that my goal in business is to create wealth and share it,” Huizenga said. “And we all worked together at J.R. Automation and Dane Systems had amazing success. It was the right thing to share with everybody.”

I just finished reading my April Vanity Fair mag and thought you guys might enjoy this article about Mellody Hobson. VERY inspirational.

“Why Sheryl Sandberg, Bill Bradley, and Oprah Love Mellody Hobson” http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2015/03/mellody-hobson-ariel-investments-fighting-stereotype

an excerpt: Ariel’s offices in Chicago’s Aon Center building are on the 29th floor, where the light reflected from Lake Michigan illuminates the serene space. One conference room is named for Warren Buffett, whose investing style Ariel emulates. In it, there’s a picture of Buffett with Hobson and John Rogers, Ariel’s C.E.O., who has been Hobson’s boss, mentor, and partner for some 25 years. Along one hallway, there are pictures of President Obama, who worked out of Ariel’s offices in 2008 when his permanent offices were being established. There are lots of tortoises, because the tortoise in Aesop’s fable is the slow and steady one who wins the race, and that’s Ariel’s style. And there are hourglasses, which Hobson says demonstrate the firm’s thoughtfulness about how time is used. To help Hobson manage her time, the firm turned a conference room adjoining her office into a nursery for Everest.

      This is so sad.
Their son is grown now…..he was about 6yrs old when his father was shot in 1981.

Notice the very different tone than the ‘read out’ of President Obama’s call with NetanWARho …

“Readout of the President’s Calls with King Hamad al Khalifa of Bahrain, Amir Sabah al Sabah of Kuwait, Amir Tamim al Thani of Qatar, and Crown Prince Mohammed al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates

The President today spoke with King Hamad al Khalifa of Bahrain, Amir Sabah al Sabah of Kuwait, Amir Tamim al Thani of Qatar, and Crown Prince Mohammed al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates. With each the President shared details of the political framework reached between the P5+1, the EU, and Iran on a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action regarding Iran’s nuclear program. He highlighted that nothing is agreed until everything is agreed, and the months ahead will be used to finalize the technical details for a lasting, comprehensive solution that verifiably ensures the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. He also reiterated the United States’ enduring commitment to work with partners to address Iran’s destabilizing activities in the region. The President invited the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council to join him at Camp David this spring to further these consultations.”

    • April 3, 2015 at 6:24 pm

Also, note that in the ‘read out’ of his call with King Salman of Saudi Arabia, yesterday, that the King also has been invited to Camp David. No such invitation has been mentioned for Bibi ….

“Readout of the President’s Call With King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia

The President called King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia today to discuss the political framework reached between the P5+1, the EU, and Iran on a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action regarding Iran’s nuclear program. The President reiterated that the months ahead will be used to finalize the technical details for a lasting, comprehensive solution that effectively cuts off all of Iran’s pathways to a bomb and verifiably ensures the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. He emphasized that the nuclear understanding between the P5+1 and Iran will not in any way lessen U.S. concern about Iran’s destabilizing activities in the region. The leaders agreed to increase consultations and remain vigilant in countering this threat. As part of this effort, the President invited the King and Gulf Cooperation Council leaders to Camp David this spring to continue consultations. The President and King Salman reaffirmed the enduring friendship between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

Turning their Chamberlain chant upon them is the best part of this plea – peace failed in 1939 because Hitler lied and wanted war. It is easy to see who thinks only war is the solution in current times.
