      GA lockewasright, congrats on #1!!!

I was able to watch yesterday’s WH press briefing, and Josh Earnest gave a “preview” of PBO’s speeches in KY and UT ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Josh said that PBO’s budget proposes the elimination of inheritance taxes for those estates worth less than $11 million. Josh said that closing this loophole would collect $300 billion dollars. I’ll have to check with my accountant on how this affects the portion of my estate that’s worth more than $11 million, LOL ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

Hey TOD! I’ve been missing you guys big time. I’ve been spending a lot of time with my mom as she recovers from brain surgery. I want to thank everyone for their prayers. She came through like a a champ, the hardest part is recovering from the pre and post op drugs that have adverse side effects. but the surgery was a success. I refuse to follow any politics in depth if I can’t track what’s happening with TOD first. So I feel out of touch for the whole month of March. TOD is such a major part of my world that I want you to know that I miss you and keep you in my prayers even if you don’t hear from me for awhile.

Paulita, I’m thrilled that your mom’s surgery was a success, despite the recovery issues. It must mean everything to her to have you by her side through this ordeal. What you’re doing is more important than any news right now. TOD is here for you to catch up when you have time, but taking care of your mom and yourself comes first.

PBO said he was going to talk to the Congressional leadership today, so I think that look of determination is for the calls he needed to make when he boarded the plane. The idea of talking to Boehner and McConnell about an issue as complex as the Iran agreement has got to seem pretty grim, even to the President.

The GOP/Teabagging/Republicans that’s who….we should be in the streets happy too but we are not because there is no fear of America being nuked if this failed. I am happy that millions of Iranians won’t have the same fate as the Iraqi’s, Syrians and Egyptian’s.

Bloomberg view is reporting that NO new sanctions from the Senate until after June 30. Which is good.

However, the Corker bill which gives the Senate the right to agree with and sign off on any deal now has 64 supporters on its way to a veto-proof 67.

    • April 2, 2015 at 7:40 pm

but what they do not understand is that this is not a treaty it’s a UN Security Council resolution – According to the treaty that created the UN, all member nations are bound by Security Council resolutions. So we don’t really need the Congress to make this happen or to give it full Constitutional muster.
