    IMO, the girl in the blue gown that’s picture with FLOTUS in the previous Post, her dress reminds me of a dress or a combination of two dresses that the First Lady has worn. Am I seeing things that aren’t really true? The dress looks slightly familiar…

      I’ve noticed BBC has run a couple of very human special programs about Gaza, and the plight of the people there over the past few months. I think everyone’s tired of the cruelty.

    please, if you are so inclined, take time and show your support and/or encouragement to the teams that are working to promote nuclear disarmament WITHOUT WAR as they negotiate the Iran Nuclear Deal;

    we have heard a lot of noise and all kinds of bizarre claims from the opponents of the talks. We who support what PBO, and the other members of the P5+1 and Iran are trying to do, need to let out voices be heard.

    always remember that your voice can encourage those who are toiling towards the hard-to-achieve goals;

    from the news report on NPR, Bibi has not learned a thing about the need to say what he wants about the Iran Nuclear Deal. Bibi is now saying that the framework is “now worse than he had feared”;

    someone needs to really talk to Bibi privately about the old adage that alludes to : know when to hold them (your chips) and … know when to play them. at times it feels like he is no more serious that a toddler throwing a tantrum when the whole world is watching closely

      Hi, GCLinda; good to see you!

      ‘at times it feels like he [Bibi] is no more serious that a toddler throwing a tantrum when the whole world is watching closely’

      I would take out ‘at times’. Bibi is IMO, and by his actions, an immature leader, much in the manner of the US Republicans. He likes the limelight and he seems to have little empathy for others. He clearly has little respect for those he disagrees with, even while he may be strongly beholden to them. Like the Republicans, talking to him privately will be of no help. He’s one of those who needs to feel to believe, and unfortunately other Isrealis may have to ‘feel’ it too before they cast him aside.

        at this rate, the people of Israel are destined for a lot of regrets when they finally come to grips with their contribution to this bleak ethically-challenged period in the life of their nation

          March 29, 2015 at 2:08 pm

          Some will regret, and some won’t – somewhat like the Republicans who can’t see how their governors are leading them down the garden path, and instead take pleasure in the GOP Pres O obstruction.

        The conservative mind views every conflict in terms of who can make the other into submission. Hard conservatives are driven by fear and hate, and they view compromise as a weakness. So they’re allergic to conflict resolution by diplomacy, where there is not 1 winner and 1 loser but two parties that compromise for the better good of everybody.

        Hard conservatives always CREATE/EXACERBATE conflicts instead of resolve them.

        George W. Bush and the neocons, Bibi are great examples of this…

          True.

      Sounds divine, Nena.

      It’s been way too hot for early Spring in SoCal. 😦

      Radio tells me that the high pressure system causing our heat wave (which we’ve had every.single.month this Winter/Spring season) is moving to DF’s location.

    As a stenographer, I remember when they got a bad rap around here when one of my own freaked out in the Congress back in 2013. But I just wanted to show you guys a positive story regarding stenographers. This one centers around Debra Bollman, who was at the NCAA news conferences taking down the interview transcripts, Wisconsin’s Nigel Hayes noticed her and tried to playfully flirt with her alittle bit, and give her really long words to write, he even called her “beautiful” when he thought he was off mic. lol It was cute here’s the link. http://www.foxsports.com/west/story/stenographer-debra-bollman-march-madness-ncaa-tournament-032715

    O’Malley also used the word “Failures” to describe some of Pres Obama’s Foreign Policy…..

    I am not sure who he is trying to impress……but then again, he is a politician…..with his eyes on 2016.

      March 29, 2015 at 3:11 pm

      What does he know about foreign policy?

    • March 29, 2015 at 3:18 pm

      i did not view the program….

      what failures did he speak of…someone speaking on foreign policy has to know all the ins and outs…before they can call anything a success or a failure…..

      i am not impressed with Clinton’s or O’Malley’s throwing stones at the President…from the sidelines…

      What is wrong with these people, do they not read polls, do they not know that President Obama got elected twice and by huge margins, and do they not hire campaign managers whose main job is to insure that their candidates don’t say dumb shit? For O’Malley to use the word failure in the same sentence with President Obama is so short-sighted and just plain silly.

      “not some crown to be passed between two families”.

      Ouch, this is an effective line of attack for Governor O’Malley I think.

      >>But he has to be VERY careful in his treatement of President Obama. If he wants to have a chance in the primaries, he better not distance himself too much from the president.

      Candidates for the democratic primary have to understand one thing: the majority of the base of the democratic party LOVES and RESPECT President Obama. O’Malley ought to get on the ground a little, instead of listening to the Beltway chatter.

    TALLAHASSEE — Without a word of debate Friday, the Florida House approved a controversial proposal that could require school districts to share tens of millions of dollars in construction funds with rival charter schools.

    The bill was one of four high-profile education proposals that won the support of the Republican-dominated House to end the week. The others would:
    •Ease the penalties for schools that fail to comply with the constitutionally mandated limits on class size.
    •Create a pilot program to give principals more control over hiring and budget decisions.
    •Encourage school districts to adopt mandatory school uniform policies for children in grades K-8 by offering incentive money.
    All of the Democrats in attendance voted against the charter school bill, HB 7037. But none debated the measure on the floor.

    Democratic leader Mark Pafford of West Palm Beach said the 75-35 vote spoke for itself.
    “I think that sends a pretty clear message that there’s a major problem with the bill,” Pafford said. “It directs dollars away from public schools.”
