A Tweet Or Two

Deadline approving such a disgusting prejudiced article in 2015, is appalling. Over 70 years ago, TV began as a whites only medium, then slowly, some People of Color (POC) were begrudgingly granted space. Now, some Hollywood executives seem to be getting their heads out of their asses and realizing what POC have said for decades is true – that a diverse audience wants to see the 21st century on their screens, that there are talented artists of color, that there are great stories to be told, that the ratings for shows with POC as leads is blowing other shows out of the water and is consistent week after week, that fantastic shows with POC leads are dominating in time slots where previously whites only casts shows failed after one or two episodes; we’re supposed to return to a whites only TV screen? Nellie Andreeva and Deadline can GTFOHWTBS

Fantastic rebuttal to that piece of filth article

Imagine if a Black family had done this. Funeral arrangements would be taking place right now

Save us from the GOP BS

Another evidence as to why the death penalty should be abolished

WTF, Arizona?!

So much facepalm

The fired cops were 31 and under. The youngest is 25. Young people with such hate for Black people. Yet society wonders why Black people can’t trust cops. Our lives are worthless to them. Our lives are a joke to them

Reason 10,000 why some say fraternities should be abolished

Stay safe, TODers who live in Oklahoma

That Iggy Azalea calls what she does rap, is laughable. She is certainly no Eminem in terms of rap skills

    Hi, NW!

Chips C, it is my researched opinion that you and I should stay away from ‘fancy’ cooking (if we can’t avoid cooking altogether)!

End of day greetings, to one and all!

One RWNJ trying to get it approved for petition, which is pro forma as long as it’s filed appropriately. He will not get the signatures necessary to appear on the ballot. It’s just a bunch of BS that Kamala Harris is trying to quash.

    GE TODville.

Don’t agree much with @jpodhoretz on anything, but do agree with this:

And NW captures it all, and then some!

This report reminds me of what GCL experienced a few days ago — but because this person was a man, he was roughed up for no reason at all. And cops planting “evidence” is the oldest trick in the book.

Statement by NSC Spokesperson Bernadette Meehan on the Situation in Yemen

The United States strongly condemns ongoing military actions taken by the Houthis against the elected government of Yemen. These actions have caused widespread instability and chaos that threaten the safety and well-being of all Yemeni citizens.

The United States has been in close contact with President Hadi and our regional partners. In response to the deteriorating security situation, Saudi Arabia, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members, and others will undertake military action to defend Saudi Arabia’s border and to protect Yemen’s legitimate government. As announced by GCC members earlier tonight, they are taking this action at the request of Yemeni President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi.

The United States coordinates closely with Saudi Arabia and our GCC partners on issues related to their security and our shared interests. In support of GCC actions to defend against Houthi violence, President Obama has authorized the provision of logistical and intelligence support to GCC-led military operations. While U.S. forces are not taking direct military action in Yemen in support of this effort, we are establishing a Joint Planning Cell with Saudi Arabia to coordinate U.S. military and intelligence support.

At the same time, the United States continues to closely monitor terrorist threats posed by al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula and will continue to take action as necessary to disrupt continuing, imminent threats to the United States and our citizens.

We strongly urge the Houthis to halt immediately their destabilizing military actions and return to negotiations as part of the political dialogue. The international community has spoken clearly through the UN Security Council and in other fora that the violent takeover of Yemen by an armed faction is unacceptable and that a legitimate political transition – long sought by the Yemeni people – can be accomplished only through political negotiations and a consensus agreement among all of the parties.

Can’t really say that I’m the Saudi’s side when it comes to Yemen.

    So enjoy a high-dimensional world ….

“Lifting oil sanctions on Iran could hit global markets long before the nation starts pumping more crude.

That’s because the OPEC member has been stockpiling oil onshore and in supertankers in the Persian Gulf, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. While estimates of the hoard by shipbrokers and government officials vary from as little as 7 million barrels to as much as 35 million, Barclays Plc and Societe Generale SA predict this crude would be first to be sold abroad if there’s an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.

The U.S. and five other world powers are scheduled to resume talks with Iran this week, offering relief from sanctions on oil exports, shipping and financial transactions if the Islamic Republic curtails its nuclear program and allows inspections to verify compliance. If a deal is reached, the Persian Gulf nation could add its stockpiles into an oversupplied oil market where prices have fallen more than 50 percent since June.

“The first wave to look out for when these sanctions are removed is that stored oil coming back into the market,” Miswin Mahesh, an analyst at Barclays in London, said by e-mail on March 23. “Their ability to sell from storage will depend on whether shipping and insurance restrictions are also lifted.””

    Good evening TODVille!

What a day of … bad news! Were it not for the 5th birthday of Obamacare, the total of depressing news would have collapsed an entire optimism val. So trouble by the news of the airplane that crashed yesterday, and more so at the developing news of one pilot being lock out from the cockpit. Then, there is Yemen. Another country that goes bust under a cloud of AQAP, al-Devil, al-Anawab or whatever “al-” it is. Tornado in Oklahoma, and to top it all, the Wacko Canadian Ted Cruz running for president. Between him and Jeb Bush, I just don’t know how to keep my blood pressure in check.

I hope you are having a better week.

Now onto the Boston bomber… I completely agree with the verdict upon his friend. If you were his friend and was deleting computer files, you should Rest In Jail for life.

    Onto the Middle East…

I really wish the entire civilized world would join in the fight to finish with these radicals, these extremists, and these barbarians. If the world would unite in shelling the occupied territories together, then sealing borders to prevent would-be wackos from traveling and helping, we would enjoy a break from the sad state of affairs coming from this part of the world.
