Morning. I didn’t see whether the First Lady had landed yet, but I hope she’s safe and sound back in the WH. Temperature is back into the 20’s around here, so it’s another day of trying to keep warm. Hope everyone has a good one.

The States of the Confederacy, ….the RED States, …..& the poorest states in the country….refuse to give Healthcare to their people……..it is inhumane….i think that the legislators who deny health care to their constituents should be required to give up their government provided health care

Charles Pierce has a great read this morning on Ted Cruz. “Ted Cruz is an extremist fanatic. He represents politics and a vision of government that was out of date in 1860. He is connected, rhetorically, to the darkest manifestations of the American id.”

    http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/news/a33831/ted-cruz-will-announce-2016-presidential-candidacy/

As Jerry Brown said in his interview, Cruz is also a cynical manipulator. He’s a smart man who exploits the most ignorant and unthinking among us by stoking fear and paranoia. He is more than a dupe, like Scott Walker, he IS the duper.

Another fantastic piece Jackie, “The 2016 election has begun. The bar is set where you need a metal detector to find it”. Perfect.

The world looks in utter amazement at what the RWNJs are doing in and to the USA. If perchance they win power in 2016 – there will be few outside of Israel who will consider themselves a “friend”. Horrifying to think about what they are doing to what was once a democracy to be proud about.

        99…

our focus in this country has to be to organize and GOTV on the grass roots level…we must do it at the local…state and Federal Level…we can talk about the clown cars and the horror that is the GOP but we know as we speak that there are forces that are setting out to suppress the vote and the spirit of the American People….

I do not know what is the game plan of the Democratic Party…it seems that they are set to re-set the bar to Pre-Obama…while the Hillary campaign is snatching up the structure pieces of the President’s campaign…but what they don’t seem to realize that it was the President that made it work…that the machine cannot run without the heart….

What truly scares me about the GOP is their lack of any empathy for other people. They want to force their viewpoint on all both within and without of the US and will use any means to this end. At the minute it is hard to see anyone in the dem party – outside of PBO being able to counter this movement. So many are simply too busy surviving to understand what is happening. I hope I am wrong.

    • March 23, 2015 at 8:33 am

Well the 2016 Tea Party presidential clown car is off and running. God help us! This is such a nightmare itโ€™s too crazy to be funny. It will be interesting to hear the birthers explain now Ted Cruz is a native citizen.

France’s centre-right UMP party and its allies have taken first place in the first round of local elections, according to official results from the Interior Ministry.

They took 32% of the vote, while the far-right National Front (FN) came second with 25%.

President Francois Hollande’s governing Socialists came third with 22%.

The results mean the second round on 29 March will see a run-off between the UMP and the FN in many constituencies.

Voters are electing representatives in 101 departments, or counties, charged with issues like schools and welfare.

UMP leader Nicolas Sarkozy said the outcome of the first round demonstrated “the French people’s profound desire for change”.

    Morning.

It will be interesting to see how the media handles Ted Cruz with his Dominionist Christian Theology beliefs. It is pretty close to Sharia Theology. or the Mormon White Horse Prophecy where religion rules the government.

    hmmmm

Is the Dominionist Christian Theology folks the group that walks around with the snakes in church? Because if they are I think its kinda cool.

Oh ok, every time I think of snakes and church I think of the opening scene in “Live and Let die” where the guy gets bitten by a snake at some sort of religious festival or something.

The inhumanity of some people is so mind-boggling, I cannot comprehend it. I got my dog because someone took him and his 4 siblings, tied them into a garbage bag and through them into a country ditch.. luckily some teenage boys found them and saved them. This pup in the video is one hell of a survivor.
